-- AIM RP between Felyn and DFA (Anana, Nukpana and Alcyone) Ana yawned to herself as she stretched out across the large rock, her lithe little form sunbathing in the lazy afternoon sun. She and Nuka had spotted a female some ways off and she had sent Nuka to go hunt her down and talk to her. Sure, Ana could have gone too, but she had already done a bit of traveling and it was just that much easier if Nuka brought the girl back to her. It wasn't laziness, persay, but why should she bother doing it if he was perfectly capabale of handling it himself? Her teal eyes lidded slightly, despite her keeping half a mind on her surroundings, growing sleepy as she waited for him to return. He must be having more trouble with her than she originally thought - maybe he was just too touchy for this sort of thing. He most certainly wasn't hitting on her himself - he seemed to have washed his paws clean of females, and that stuied Ana just fine.Oh, but what a picture the horizon suddenly offeed; up from a short distance came a slightly disgruntled Nuka, his neck lowered, his expression grim, ears flattened back. To his side walked a pretty lithe thing; her pelt was splattered much like that of a koi, her eyes brilliant, and she seemed to be talking... Nuka's patience away. The fact that every so often she leaned in to n** at his ears or brush against him wasn't making the situation any better. It was no doubt, taking all of Nuka's self-restrain to keep himself from smacking her away; after all, the male might've been many a thing... but he did pride himself in not attacking a girl. Unless it was a physical need. And this wasn't. Sadly. Because he'd have loved nothing other than to shove her away and run for the hills, so disgrunteled did he look.
"And that's when my mother told me I was born special, you see," the lithe female babbled on, unaware of the thoughts that ran through Nuka's head, whom lifted his gaze towards Anana, offering her a clear '******** you and this plan - I want out' look.Ana's smirk spread wider and wider as Nuka and the female came closer to her, her tail flickering in waiitng. She couldn't say she didn't enjoy it slightly - she always enjoyed a little torture on someone else's part. He wasn't being hurt, but he was certainly being agitated, and that was really all that mattered. She had inherited, perhaps, some amusement at other's misfortune from her father - the degrees of just exactly what amused them was the difference. "That took you long enough, Nuka," she said with a bit of mirth in her eyes - oh, he'd chew her out later she was sure, but for now she could mock him, even if only a little. Her eyes shifted away from him and to the female instead, "and who is the pretty lady you've brought back?"As he passed by Anana's side he turned his head, his maw coming close to her ear so he could speak there, a whispered growl the other female wouldn't hear, "That's 'cuz she had 'er eyes no me, not a ********' blind date, 'pparently, toots," no sooner had he told her this, he passed by and flopped himself effortlessly on a flat rock to the side. As far as he was concerned, he'd done his part. He wasn't going to so much as open his maw. Instead he waved a paw dismissively.
The female tilted her head to one side, sitting herself neatly, her tail curled around her body; oh, if something was clear was that she was a lady. Blue blood seemed to course through her veins, and well, if it didn't, at least she believed it did, the way she moved and sat, "Alcyone," she said, her head tilting to one side, almost innocently, an ear flicking, "And Nukpana here," a whince was issued from the male upon hearing his full name - oh how he despised that name! "Has told me you want to set me up on a blind date? How come, might I ask?" her voice was level, not rude, but bluntly to the point. As Nuka leaned in to whisper in her ear, she leaned slightly into him as well just to hear better. That, and if Alcy here thought that perhaps there was something between her and Nuka she'd let him be - he couldn't claim to mind her manipulation if it got the girl off his bones. Then, with a soft smile, less amused and a lot kinder for Alcyone than it was for Nuka, she turned to look at the koi-marked cheetah before her. "Well, Nuka is very right," she said with a nod, her tail wavering slowly behind her. "My father, sadly, is growing a bit grumpy and sour and I think he rather needs a lady to lighten up his spirits," she said, a shrug on her shoulders - as if that were simply the whole story. "I think a good fine lady like yourself would be able to show him a thing or to about being happy and enjoying life." Her smile remained, perfect and unwavering, though her eyes were dancing with that gleam that perhaps only her father would actually recognize as anything more than sincerity.

Snorting, the male found himself waving his paw again, dismissively, almost as if Anana's words were not quite... there. Grumpy was a bloody understimation, as far as he was concerned; he'd seen little of Uovu, but what little he'd seen had made him decided he'd keep his distance. In order to do that, the sooner he found a b***h strong enough to keep him ocupied... the sooner he could leave.
Alcyone seemed to miss all this; in fact, as far as she was aware, no one in the world could ever lie to her, "Oh," she said simply, her head nodding once, twice, as if she were pondering; well of course they'd need her help! Her mere presence would make even the sun peek from behind the clouds of a gloomy day! OF COURSE they needed her, "Well then; show me the way?" her tail twitched as she sat up straighter, looking off, expecting to be shown the way, much like a little princess would have, "We're lossing time, chop chop, girl!" she clapped her paws for emphasis.
Nuka snorted behind Anana, covring up the sound with a cough.
Ana sat there in silence for a moment as she took a good long look at the pretty female before her. Well, she did at least have that - she was pretty. However, as far Ana could tell, she was obviously lacking somes of her pieces up in her mental department. Still, she simply gave her a smile and nodded her head. "I'm glad you're eager, but if you'd please give me a moment to talk to Nuka here?" She got up promptly from her rock and leapt down, stalking towards Nuka without waiting for an answer, and sat down, leaning into him to whisper. "What's wrong with her?" she asked lowly, making sure she couldn't hear, eyes narrowed slightly in her bafflement.
The coughing behind her had turned into an outright-fit as Nuka attempted his best to hide his laughter at the... well, situation. As soon as Anana asked to talk to him though, he did his best to suffocate it, and after a good, long moment, was successful. Leaning back into her so that his neck was against her, his maw reaching her ear, he wishpered back, "Beat me, kid. Most gals I've met are like this; Dunno what yer lookin' for, but if it ain't this, then we got one helluva problem," he murmured back, acting out the role of concerned 'mate' that she'd offered him as a escape rope not even 4 minutes ago. In fact, he seemed perfectly fine with this; just like Anana herself, never embarrased, and actualy playing his role without attatchment or hesitation, "She's pretty, that's all she's got goin' for 'er. Naive, sweet, if not a bit haughty, but eh, it's as best as they come, toots. You're just the exception to the rule; hard to find two exceptions."
Alcyone watched this with a tilted head, her earsperked up in interest. However, being the sweet lil lady she was, she didn't try to eavesdrop on the conversation. Rather, she waited it out.
Anana had her back to the pretty cheetah at this point, her eyes concentrated on Nuka. As he leaned in, she neither flinched nor moved, not bothered at all by the way he touched her with his neck at all. If they were going to manage to pretend Nuka was her mate, it wouldn't do to have her freaking out with him so close. However, the vantage point she had with her face hidden from Alcyone's was well used. She wrinkled her nose as if she smelled something awful, disgusted with his words. "You can't honestly tell me that every single female out there has mush for wits and only thinks about herself," she muttered darkly, eyes closing for a moment. She shook her head lightly, letting the teal orbs pop back open, "I can't believe that. Of course, if it were true, that would justify my father mudering all thoes cubs. I wouldn't want those females reproducing either." She smirked at her comment, though it was obvious she didn't really feel that way. She chanced a glance over her shoulder at Alcy, then looked back to him, "she won't work Nuka. How do we get rid of her?"
A smirk was offered as he noted the way she wrinkled her maw; not at him, but at what he was saying. She was a smart one, this one; she was making use of their position to make facial expressions she wouldn't have otherwise, which was entertaining him to no end. However, thought aside... what exactly did she expect? Girls were girls. Just like boys would be boys. He shrugged at the notion that crossed his mind, "Look sweethear', I think I've been alive just a tad longer than you. And by the looks of it, te time you've been alive has been spent babysitting yourdaddykins - you've not seen the world. I 'ave. And most I've seen, is this. Some prettier, some uglier. some more violent, some less, but there's none like you that I've seen, toots. You can keep on lookin' but it'd be like findind a white hair on your pelt. Chances are little to nill," he snorted, reclining his head on the paw he'd propped up on the rock, his strange orbs rolling to peer back at Alcyone, "You ask me, she ain't lastin' more than two minutes with Uovu. Hell, she wouldn't last two minutes with me, much less yer dad," after a moment's thought, he smirked, "We scare her; scare'er away from Uovu and us."
Blinking, Alcyone frowned; now this was getting ridiculous! WHY were they ignoring her? It was all fine and dandy that they were mates! But did they have to snuggle before her very eyes? How very rude!!

She nodded at his words with a bit of a sigh escaping her maw, listening as he rambled on about the uselessness of the female gender. However, as he finished, she turned her teal eyes back up to his and narrowed them slightly. "I'm not willing to give up on this just yet, however much that would make you feel better since you'd be able to get out of here and all, but we'll have to look a little harder from now on." She smirked now, quirking a bit of an eyebrow, "and you think I'm one of a kind? That's very sweet of you, Nuka, possibly the nicest thing you've said to me yet." She resisted the urge to glance back at the pretty brainless wit once again, but instead nodded at his next words. "How exactly do you propose we do that? She doesn't seem to be put off easily."
"Dun mean it has to be a good thing," he snorted back at her, "Rare, unique.... can also mean freak yah know," he sneered then eyes narrowing, "Scare her; tell her what she's in for; give 'er your best shot. If she ain't gonna listen to us, might as well warn 'er, good and proper. I think that's yer line thu, not mine," and this said he laned away from Anana, turning suddenly to offer her a long lick over her cheek before shooting her a smirk he was sure Alcyone could not see. This done, he stood and began to groom himself.
Alcyone frowned deeper then; oh, she'd missed the smirk, but not the lick, "Excuse me?" she asked, sounding very much annoyed.
She frowned as he altered his words, eyes narrowing slightly with a look that could probably shoot daggers if she tried any harder. "I think I'll just pretend that you meant it as a compliment," she said as she shifted. She nodded at his suggestion, agreeding whole-heartedly. She was just about to open her mouth to to reply when he licked her, however, and she stopped everything she had been doing. Her eyes widened a touch, probably not noticeable if he wasn't looking hard enough, then narrowed on him. "You really like pushing your luck," she muttered darkly before she stood, smoothed her features back to a placid look, and turned to look at Alcy.
"My apologies," she said with a smile as she sauntered back over, "we were just discussing how to warn you of my father's problems." She leapt back up to her rock, giving her a little nod of her head, "I'm afriad that I lied to you before about my father's exact issues."
"Wutevah," it was said mildy at her, a paw waved in her direction as he kept his head down, grooming his pelt with care, as if nothing else un the world could be more sattisfying or entertaining. Tell truth, nothing further from the truth. He still had half a mind and an ear on the conversation going on behind him and he couldn't help the snort that escaped his maw at the Anana's worth, "********?" she flattened her ears further against her skull, sending a glare at Nuka for his less-than-stellar exclamation, then turned back to face Anana, "What issues? I'm sure I can make him better, just with my presence."
Anana smirked at Nuka's comment, but simply managed to ignore most of what he said. Nuka could make all of the little remarks he wanted to - it certainly didn't hurt the situation much, not now that they needed Aclyone to leave. "Well, I'm sure that in most cases, your presence is a gift of the gods," she said, managing to keep a very straight face and unwaveringly honest tone throughout the entire thing, "but I'm afraid that my father is a cold blooded killer. That is not an exageration, or a metaphor, sadly." SHe shrugged, keeping calm - most of the time it unnerved people she when she talked to calmly about murder. "He likes to kill cubs, more precisely, and I need someone who can stop him. Sadly, I don't thik that you're going to be able to. You're just much too nice."

"Truly it is," she nodded her head, frowning at Anana; it was amusing to note that never did she figure the other girl was pulling her leg. SURELY the world REALISED how wonderful she was, "Huh?" and then she was lost. The explanation really didn't reach her. Or she didn't understand it. Or rather, she didn't want to acknowledge it; it woosh, went right through one ear and out the other, "You shouldn't talk like that of your father; I bet he wouldn't be pleased!"
"Au contrairè," grumbled the male from behind, earning himself another glare, which he suavely shrugged off, continuing his grooming.
She frowned at the male again, then turned to face Anana, "Is that a challenge?" the words were hissed under her breath, and Nuka again grumbled something from behind - something about picking the time to grow a backbone.
Anana sighed softly as the peanut gallery began to throw off phrases and words, her eyes shifting over for a moment to stare at said source. She watched him in silence, weighing him for a moment, letting him know that he was not really helping anything she was trying to do. Making the girl mad wasn't giving them any leadway with getting her to leave. He needed something stuffed in his mouth, she thought.
She turned her attention back to the girl, laughing softly at her own comment. "You would be surprsed at what he would like me to say," she said with a little quirk of her brow. Making him seem anything less than his sociopathic self would probably displease her father greatly. She sighed, however, at the words that came then - shaking her head in irritation. "No, it is not a challenge, it is a warning. We were wrong, and we'd like you to be able to leave without some form of permanent scaring."
The sour-est of frowns followed Anana's proclamation, but before the younger cheetah could say another word, Alcyone turned around and practicaly stormed off in the oposite direction. A small hate peeked it's head out of a hole at that moment and it only recieved a long hiss, forcing it back inside as the koi-pelted female marched off, having ideas of her own.
"Well that's that," came the male's answer from behind as he stopped grooming offering Anana a shrug that seemed to ask her 'WHAT?' when she glanced his way, "Beggars can't be choser," he told her, "better get back to searching, Toots. You're doin' the recruitin' next time. I ain't allowin' another one to cling offa me," and this said he began to pad off, pausing to wait for her to catch up
She frowned after Alcyone, hoping that the girl didn't get up to doing anything stupid. She simply sighed, though, and got up to follow after Nuka. "I'll go with you next time and keep them off of you. I won't let the big bad ladies hurt you, Nuka," she said with her rather infamous little smirk, catching up at his side and padding off with him on their next 'adventure'. Just hope the next one is better than the first.
