"Love?"

"Yes, you know about it right? To care about someone, to want them, to need them, to love them. That person you know you want to be with for a very long time? To start a family with?"

"I am afraid I never loved, leopard. I am even surprised you are here in my cove to start with. How did you ever stumble upon it?" The lion inquired.

"I fell from the ridge and stumbled here, luckily, the fall was not steep. Thought I could rest here for a moment to rest before going to out to find my traveling companion. Do you mind that?" the leopard ask. He trying to see if he was close as the air became salty to the sense. He rushed on ahead to see if they were close. Upon coming upon the edge, the earth gave way and he fell down into the sands.

Kru was not really looking for anyone, but after the fall, his paws felt shooken, hard to quite walk that he had to crawl into this cove. He saw no harm in it until that was this lion began speaking to him.

The cove was a large stone structure, the ground covered in layers of sand, making it more comfortable to lay on. There were three stone slates that acted as pedestals, one being the lowest, the next was bigger, and the center being the highest and where the golden lion resided. It was a very spacious place and looking at the lion, Kru knew why.

"Right... But yes, I know of it. I still seek it myself, but unlike you, I do not travel in search of it." Trig was the owner of the den, the elusive giant lion who aided all who crossed his path. He was only slightly bigger than the firekin, and his strength derived from the Pride Landers and strong rogue blood. He sought love, a special love, one that was too difficult to capture, but his spirit pushed him on to obtain it. Finding the one to love was even harder.

"Well, then let me get to the point then, I care about this female, but she is a cheetah and I am a leopard, as you can see, but she and I are just friends. I know she cares about me, but the purpose of my travels is to find a love and I would like her to find one too. But if each of took one another's hearts, then there would be no room for her destined lover whom she will be a mother and perhaps I myself a father to a female. What do you think I should do?" Kru asked, as if Trig was some sort of adivsor. In some ways, he was. He was knowledgeable in many fields, but this was not one of them.

"Quite open about this aren't you?" the lion laughed as he laid upon the tallest pedestal of stone. "Well, the way I am looking at this, Ba'kru, is that you love this female and that she loves you, that would certainly solve the issue as to finding a mate. Do you think you two will not be happy together? By the sounds of things, you two already care about one another and being friends is merely the first step toward becoming mates," Trig's logic was simple to understand but Kru thought otherwise.

"I am afraid that she might want a family, although it is not as important to me, she might find it is to herself. I am worried that if I do admit my feelings to her, she would lose her chance of mating and having a family."

Trig chuckled, "Well, if you want, though, it's up to you two, you two can mate, you have it and she has it, so there is no difference between your species, her species, and even mine. Males are males no matter what, females are females. What separates us is the wall that blocks us; doubt. Mate with her if you want and only if she agrees to, show her that you care about her and how dedicated a lover you can be. Don't worry about families and cubs, right now, think about each other. Now, you should leave, otherwise, I'll have to chase you out of here." Trig let on much more than he knew. Trig knew a thing or two about breeding. Estrus lasted at least fourteen moons, thus time, the males who mate her have a chance of her conceiving their litter. The time it takes for the cub, or cubs, to grow within the mother depended on the species. But there was one key thing that especially regarded Kru and this Alula friend of his.

Hybrids.

Kru laughed and rose to his feet, stretching each limb. Looking back at the large cat, he smiled. "Thanks, I think I know what I have to do now. I hope you too will find that special someone." Trig only replied with a smile and nod as Kru left to find Alula again.

he knew what to tell her now... but now, he just had to muster the courage to actually say it. The timing... had to be right.
