WE'RE GOING TO REGIONALSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHHOOOOO blaugh blaugh blaugh
I'll explain now:
My NJROTC's drill team qualified two weekends ago for our area's regionals. That's like a football team amking it to the playoffs. If we get 1st or 2nd, we're going to nationals!!!!! (Thing is, the reigning 2nd & 3rd place national teams are going to be at regionals. So we've got stiff competetion.) We haven't made regionals in yeeeeaaarrrsssss. And for me & my fellow seniors, this is our last chance to finally make it to nationals. (I'll be competeting in the Academic portion & I'll also be in the inspection. Those two are the most important areas. If we get 1st in those two, we automatically place 2nd overall)
So this weekend it's on!!! scream Where's that annoucer guy who goes 'let's get ready to rumble!' ??
Wish us luck! And a few prayers wouldn't hurt either... ninja lol rofl

WE GOT 6TH OVERALL!!!!!!!!!!
We took 5th in Inspection, 4th in Academics (those 2 are the biggest events. If a school gets 1st in both of those, they're second automatically! Without any of the other....dozen events) And we got...4th or 5th in armed basic drill. (that's marching with rifles)
Now 6th may not seem impressive, but it was out of 16 of the BEST schools in our area (of about 60 schools. Hot damn we're baddass!) and we haven't been to regionals in at least 4-friggen-YEARS!!! (did I mention how badass we are for that?) So next year it's HIGHLY possible for us to make it to nationals...which means NOTHING to me because I'm a SENIOR. gonk I wanted to make it to nationals sooooooooooooooo badly gonk Oh well, next year I'll find a way to watch my buddies compete.
WE didn't get back home until a little past midnight. We made the 6 hour trip in 4 hours...through torrential downpour. I think our driver was speeding just a wee bit.
After we got back to the school...we had to wait another half hour for our firiggen U-Haul trailer to arrive that had all of our stuff in it.
So yeah...WOOHOO!!!
