Mounds of dirt littered all around, some small, others bigger. Blades of grass stuck out as earth was dug from its bound roots and tossed aside. Growls, snarls, grunts, and complaints echoed from the area with the sounds of scrapping and panting. The sun was still high up in the sky and the group had hardly started working! There were seven beings here, working together to complete this project of theirs.

The two jackals, Homu Goma'ota and his son, Pambuako, were moving dirt from the burrow, digging out the annoyance of the previous owner's entrance. The jackals, or as they believed themselves to be lions, were moving swiftly just as the dirt came flying from the den below. It had been a while since the father-son got together to do anything since Kaede had her second litter and one of their daughters her own at the same time. It was a strange thought that both females were pregnant and gave birth at the same time... Goma saw not fault but Pam had his suspicions. Since then, Pam was not welcomed back home until he found a suitable mate, mated, and cubs to call his own. A way his father was a jerk... a old remembrance of his old life as the b*****d he was. As the two worked, they caught up on things that went on, how the cubs were, what they were up to, and if Pam found anyone yet. Nothing special. Pam had called for his father's assistance to help out his friend.

A little black badger like creature waddled from mound to mound, sneaking bugs from them that crawled around. Being a ratel, or a honey badger, he was drawn toward bugs, but on Jamaa's favor, he was to aid the wild dog's old friend's son. Though Topas has not been up to much of anything, he was quite the little worker.

"Eh, ya 'ackles aught t' wotch watcha dooin', sum 'f us ar' tryin' t' eat ovah 'ere," his strange, but strong, accent. His job was to help the jackals out... but he was rather a lazy one now that he did not see much of his mate or pups anymore. He was quite the grump now.

"We're lions!"

The young dog's head popped out from the growing hole that he had started digging long before the rest had arrived. The wild dog only helped because even though the owner was his rival, he was still his friend. Being a dog, he could dig a lot easier than a lion could and he was a natural at it. He wasn't one to give up, he was as persistent as ever. Hiari'Feleji was a steel blue colored dog with a white underbelly, his body covered in dirt. He gave a growl at the three of them and scoffed before heading back down to continue his digging.

The dark cub hopped into the mounds, knocking them over causing the ratel to yell at him with quite the vulgar tongue which got him thwacked by no one else but the father of the cub. Valse was under Matishou's watch for the time being. They did not offer to help but simply was passing when they came across this little event of theirs. Mat only scoffed when he heard who it was for and Valse was happy that he had won their race before for he did not have to get yelled at for anything he did! Hell, if he brought down the entire den, he had a feeling his Dad could have cared less.

"Valse, I ain't cleaning you, just remember that," he spoke as his paw remained heavy on the ratel. "That's your mother's job."

"I know that much! Besides, I ain't that dirty, unlike some who are. Hey Dad, can I chase that thing around? I am sure he can run fast enough to be fun!" Mat smirked and lifted his paw, Valse charged and Topas fled.

"Hey, Idiot, are you about done with all of this?" Mat questioned down the hole. The hole wasn't small, enough to fit two males side by side. The previous owner was suspected to be a cheetah by how narrow the entrance was, but the inside was absolutely perfect, it was flat ground with wide room for many to fit within, it was a smaller version of the home he had with his father! Ezekiel popped his head out only to hit up against the slate rock that Mat had brought moments ago out of his own accord. Now smirking and thinking it a good time spent to retrieve it, Mat moved away for the Pride Lander to get out.

All of this work was for Ezekiel, to dig out a pre-existing den to accomadate more than a cheetah. This was gonna become Ezekiel's den if he were to ever leave his family for the time, it was a good place to rest before heading back to Pride Rock to see Safuma again. He was surprised that he had these many friends helping. He wished he had gotten Ophos out here, but he had not seen his hyena friend in a while. As for Safuma, she was busy with her own things.

The sun slowly crept down toward the horizon to hide away for the moon to play as if a game of tag. The group was exhausted, tired, and sweaty from work. Topas had left long ago, frustrated with Valse. Mat and his son had returned home to their family. Goma had ran off to be with his mate and 'his' new litter. So all who were left were Pam, Leji, and Zeki. The three laid down in the burrow, staring out to the sky as the stars slowly lit up, one by one.

Ezekiel offered them to spend the night at the den before heading home in the morn, agreeing, the three spent the night. However, not without some games and some fun for old time's sake.
