Recently, I participated in National Novel Writing Month, wherein the goal is to begin an entirely new novel and write 50,000 words of said new novel during the month of November. Click on the link to find out more, but that is the basic premise. Anyway, last year I did NaNo, as it's called for short, and lost miserably at 14k words. This year, I won with 51k words.

However, that's not my current source of pride. Being that my novel is no where near finished, I decided to kick my a** back into gear with National Novel Finishing Month [yes yes, we're all crazy]. I'm now up to 60k. User Image

You have no idea how thrilled I am to actually be continuing my story!

I had to tell someone about it! My best friend thinks I'm crazy for continuing [she got all stressed during NaNo and now she's scared of it] and my parents, while 'good for you'-ish, don't really get it. So I thought it might be okay if I posted my accomplishment here.

I was gonna do that this year but then... I forgot. sweatdrop See, I have a friend, and he told me about it. He's been doing it for a few years. I think he's actually finished it twice... But this year, since he already knew he could do it in a month, he decided to try to write all 50,000 in ten days! eek I haven't actually heard how that went... But I kind of thought he was crazy. xd Anyway, it's so cool you finished it! I know I never would be able to. I've started about 20 novels and finished... none. Not even one's I've started, like, two years ago. Also, I suck under pressure.

Wow, congrats hun! <3

I know this is random to be proud of, but in high school me and my best friend were hanging out and going towards the cafeteria, and my former friend (who had recently slept with my brother and only associated with me after that solely out of pity) was gonna chew me out ('cuz I told my parents they slept together 'cuz she wasn't 18 and I thought it was a little ******** up) came up to me and started chewing me out (and at the time I wasn't as ballsy as I am now) and so my friend Brandon, as she was walking away, he screamed "WHORE!!!" at her, right in front of most of the whole school. At that moment, my face paled and I was scared shitless that something awful would happen. She turned around and was like "You told him?!" and I was like "Well I always tell my best friends everything." And she looked at him, and all he did was bow down to her, like actors would do at the end of a theater play on the stage. Anyways, she then like stormed, almost ran off. What I heard that day was that everyone in the school was calling her a whore as she passed by them and she couldn't handle it and she had to go home xD!

I know it's random but I was so proud of my best friend Brandon to do that for me. XD

Wow, good job!
I tend to write one pieces for FictionPress, but I haven't really been able to come up with a story. And if I did it would be dark themed, more than likely. D:
I don't know if NaNo allows that.
But yeah.
I'm definetly gonna try to do NaNo next year.
Sounds like fun. <3
