 Asika was out hunting ... looking for a victim. She had been around this place for a while now, but had yet to find some kitsu she could really get claws into and hold onto for a while. And she wanted to, oooh yes, yes she did.
With a low hiss, she tilted a "wing" downward, scraping razor-sharp pieces of black glass from the edge of it, littering the floor of the HQ behind her. Let someone step on it, get their precious paws all bloody. If they weren't careful to watch their feet, it was their own fault~
Stopping in the middle of the room, Asika sat down, eyes narrowing as she looked around. Come on, come on ... someone come by ... want to play, want to cut and maim and looove you~~~

 It was a good day, decided Porforio as he strolled through the HQ, making friends with all sorts of woodland creatures as he went. He was a good natured kitsu naturally, with a lighthearted and buoyant bounce to his step.
And what Porforio wanted to do, more than anything else right now, was to make someone happy. He liked to make people happy, liked to make them smile. If other people were happy, then Porforio was happy.
Rounding a corner, Porforio stopped just short of stepping on a jagged piece of glass. Now who had left this here? It was just asking to injure someone. He nudged it with a paw and looked around. Had someone been hurt already? No, he didn't think so, but there was someone here for sure.
"Hello, miss!" called Porforio jovially.

Asika spun around at the voice, smoothly - wing-shards rustling against one another with a screeching sound, nails on a chalkboard. "Hellooooo~ yourself, pretty thing," she purred at the male who was standing there poking at the glass she'd left on the floor.
Even better, another of her kind! With a soft little laugh, she got up and went to stand in front of him, leaning in to n** at the side of his neck. "What are you doing there~?" she asked, indicating his paw with a nod of her head.

Was this a new sort of greeting? Porforio had never encountered it before, but if he wanted to make friends and she was doing it, maybe he'd ought to do it, too. Following the dark female's example, he clumsily repeated the gesture.
"I was just taking a walk," he explained, "And I noticed someone had left all this glass in the middle of the corridor."
What an injustice! It was dangerous to leave things like that lying around. He knew from experience that whenever his wings chipped, and his were positively round compared to the female's, he noticed, he had to clear the shards of gem away before someone was injured. It was his moral responsibility.
"I could have sliced my paw right open if I'd taken one more step," he simpered.

Asika made a sort of rumbling noise deep in her throat at him when he came closer and tried to repeat her somewhat odd greeting. Quick learner this one ... obviously not of the same temperament as she was, but ooh, perhaps he could be trained, yes, yes.
"Aaah, the glass, the glass," she said, bobbing head up and down at him. "It must have just... fallen off, oh dear~" Asika trilled, not sounding at all sorry about it.

Porfirio nodded. Well, if it was an accident then it was excusable. "It happens to me all the time," he added, sympathizing a bit. She didn't sound like she was sorry, but then again, why should she be if it had been an accident? He hadn't been hurt, had he? No, he hadn't.
He let the topic drop, and moved on to introductions.
"I'm Porfirio," he offered happily as he gave the glass a firm shove. It skidded into the corner of the room never to be seen, or stepped on, again. "What's your name, miss?"

Well, that was disappointing ... no blood now, no bright red staining the floor.... she would just have to leave more glass lying about later. For now ... now time to play with this one. Little boy, little toy~
"Asika," she replied, eyes brightening a little, hissing just slightly on the 's' in her name. Tail tips twitched against the floor behind her, making an annoying sort of scraping sound against the floor - as her 'fur' was stiffer than your normal kitsu's, being made up of tiny shards of obsidian.

"That's pretty," said Porfirio, shivering a bit. It was a reflexive thing - the sound wasn't particularly bad, it just sent chills up his spine. He compared their wing structure, and the way their fur moved, and came to the conclusion that they had to have something in common somewhere.
"We're chips off the same cave wall, aren't we?" he asked, still being absurdly friendly. He was intrigued, after all, and it was always nice to meet new people. Maybe he and the dark female could be friends? That would be awesome.
He grinned again, totally ready to agree with anything she said.

Cave wall? What the hell was he talking about now..? Aaah ... whatever. Asika bobbed head at that, figuring he must mean that they were both made of some sort of gem or mineral. "Ye-esss, I suppose we must be," she replied to that, moving in closer and peering at him intently.
"Yooou are so very bright, though, and I so very very ... dark..." she pointed out, shifting wing-shards slightly. This one really was such a pretty little thing...

"Differences never hurt anyone!" chimed Porfirio, and even then it sounded stupid to him. He didn't know that for sure. What if he had? What if they were fatal? Whatever. He was being friendly.
He watched the shards on her back shift and noticed they had pale streaks where the light hit them.
"You're not all dark," he added. "You're interesting."
Did she have those stripes on the rest of her fur, too? He tried to discreetly look and had a feeling he was doing a bad job of it.

Interesting? Ha! Well, yes, you could put it that way, she guessed ... that was a new one. Snickering softly to herself, she wove back and forth a little in front of him, making light catch in her fur, showing off almost.
"Do you like them?" she purred, turning a bit so he could see, watching ... admiration. Yes, yes, that was good ... admire and adore me. Until it all blows up in your face, you silly thing...

Porfirio nodded like the stupid male he was. He'd never resigned himself to such a label before, but now he had to admit that he couldn't have walked away even if he wanted to. He'd made friends with Asika, or, at least, he thought he had, he was pretty sure he had - she was being friendly, wasn't she? It was sort of twisted, but it was definitely friendship.
He lifted a front paw and glanced back at himself, but his fur was as dull as ever. Sigh. He had nothing interesting to show his new friend.
"They're really cool looking," he enthused, feeling like he needed to fill up the silence his lack of commenting was leaving.
They were friends now, right? Right? Right? He certainly hoped so. She was so pretty - she'd be great to be friends with. He'd forgive her for the glass left on the floor, even. After all, everyone had accidents from time to time.

Asika blinked at the other Gem kitsu, watching as he examined a paw. Didn't like the way he looked, did he..? Hmmm ... something to play with later, yes, yes, oooh yes. For now, though... keep feeding the illusion, let him thing they were friends. Such a lovely concept, that.
Lovely, and ever so much fun to shatter. Break and shatter and smear with blood...
"Thank you," she said, calm voice not betraying the somewhat chaos of her inner thoughts. "Why look at yourself like that, though?" she asked, lips twisting into an almost-smile. Tell me everything ... so I can use it later to hurt you...

"I've never seen the light do anything interesting with my fur," he explained. What a tragedy. The other gem kitsus he'd seen had fur that caught the light with different hues or speckles.
"But I'll survive!" he assured her, and the happy was back. After all, how could he be upset, how could he bear himself being a downer, if his new friend was in such a good mood?

"Does it haaave to do special things?" she asked, almost in a sort of sing-song voice. Oh she could make it do something special. All sprayed with blood, the light would look very ... mmm .... interesting ... against his fur, yes it would...
She didn't intend to kill him, though, oh no. Just to play... cut and hurt and toy with ... for a good long while...
