So... I decided to make a rant thread. Not just for me, of course. Use it as you see fit. I suppose I decided to make one of this because my journal is a cold, sad, and lonely place to rant, and now I have the assurance that people will actually read something I write. For once.
Now, there really aren't any... rule. Say whatever you have in mind, curse as much as you like. Just please, please refrain from saying anything that could make someone go: "Egads! My soul is wonded!"
For example:
Good: I ******** hate all the god damn mutha ******** nuns in my c**k-sucking, a**-wiping, d**k-waffle of a school.
Bad: I HATE JEWS. JEWS ARE DUMB. I HOPE THEY ALL DIE IN HOLOCAUST 2. IT'S A MOVIE BY MEL GIBSON I CAN'T WAIT TILL IT COMES OUT.
...Or something to that effect.
So basically, the ground rule is: Have fun, but not that kind of fun.

No rant to open with? I'd like to open the floor with Halo then. The most overrated game series of all time. Anything it does has been done before, and better (to agree with zero punctuation's review). You know usually when a game series is overrated, it's mainly by the fans, and it won't have TOO much of an impact on reviews... But Halo muther ******** 3 and it's 9+ reviews across the board? BULLCRAP! It's the exact same game as before with a few new weapons and levels, yet somehow it rates higher than Orange Box which is it's complete superior in every way. That just goes to show how far advertising and hype goes, and how backwards our society can be.
PS: I have that pic of Viktor & Flik as my wallpaper razz

What... picture of Viktor and Flik? ?_? Also, I love Halo (for the multiplayer), but it's certainly not one of the best series... ever.
Now, I am an atheist Junior attending a Catholic High School. Yes, it's a bit awkward, but I struggle through. So this year, I have Modern American History with a certain Sr. CA. I will not use her name for... my own privacy and protection. I couldn't give a flying ******** about what happens to her. Anyway, if you couldn't guess from her name, she is a Sister. Not to be confused with a Nun... they don't leave the convent. Ever. Tsk. Losers.
So I have this class with her, but you know... she doesn't actually teach us American History, like she should. I asked my cousin where she was at in her history class: The 18th century. WE'RE ON THE 1930S. WTF?! I don't know, but at the rate we're going, we'll be up to 2000 in February.
Well, that seems all well and good. Hm, no more learnings! I wish. So let's use an example: The other day we were wrapping up the 1920s. All we learned in that section was how divorce rates went up and how people spent money on things they didn't need. Charming. Then, all of a sudden, we're taking notes on Our Lady of Guadalupe. Hmm... 1931... to 1531... Not to mention outside of North America.
Does that make any sense to you? Well it doesn't to me. It's absolutely ridiculous. It's not Modern American History. It's Morality and the Catholic Church Throughout America and Other Random Places. Also, we do SAT work (English section only) EVERY DAY towards the end of class. That's nice, however, leave the math to the Math Department, and leave the English to the English Department. For the love of God...
It was pretty bearable at first, but no it's just borderline insanity. By the time we actually get to 2004 or so, it will be barely the middle of the school year. And you know, I'm scared. I'm scared that when we get there, we'll just learn about the Pope and the Saints and do SAT work for the rest of the entire year. I like History. I enjoy it very much. And I would like to learn it, and know what the hell is going on if I take an American History class in college.
My brain is dying in that class.

I read your LJ...
And as a Catholic who prays before every test I ever take ever, I must say that if I were in your position, Chikuu, I'd about die. Reminds me of my History/English class Freshman year, only we stuck to the guided curriculum- it was the teachers alone who made me hurt on the inside. And outside.
My rant... well, I'm president of Radnor High's anime club (GO RAIDERS! WOO~!). A few months ago, I was dead tired so I assigned my friend Josh to be president pro tempore. While I was sleeping, it turns out that another one of the club members and one of his friends had taken Mr. Bondi's swivel chairs out his room (Where we met) and raced them down the hallway. So, we lost the room. Two weeks later (Technically one week, all clubs were postponed due to LM week), I get us a new one. I am the president, after all. It's my job, right? But Mrs. Goldmann, our sponsor, neglected to tell us she was no longer our sponsor after that incident, so we had to leave the room, get a new one and a new sponsor. So, I went to my old Latin teacher (Lol, I'm Catholic.) Ms. Pumarada. She agreed to sponsor us and lend us her room, but we could only meet on Tuesdays, not Tuesdays and Wednesdays like before. I had to tell the other club members, and they were very disappointed.
I'm sorry, what?
I just got you all a room and a new sponsor. I didn't even ask you guys to lift a finger to help me with this task. So we had to scale back club to once a week. Hey, I'm a little dismayed, too. But if you're not even trying to help get a new sponsor/room, what right do you have to be disappointed in me? It takes a lot of effort to run this club. I have to organize our convention trips, I have to get you guys to give me the checks (Mailing them off tomorrow, BTWs.) so you can go, hotel reservations, transportation, and so on. If you're not bothering to cooperate or help, you don't have the right to complain.

Exile the club members who took the chairs and lost you that room. I would do the same thing. Or, if you're not a b***h like me, just suspend them from participating from outside-of-school club activities.
As president of our school's anime club, I would do just that... And steal all their loose change. For good measure.
On a side note: I utterly despise all of the stupid girls in my school. I found out that one of my friends had been sleeping around ad infinitum, since she was 10. 10. Ten. Diez. Jesus, she wasn't even menstruating then. How idiotic can a single person get?
Me: Have you even gotten pregnant? Unless you got an abortion or something, in which case, good for you. Her: No, I don't believe in that. Me: Oh, well... I would have no sympathy for you if you ended up as a crack-addict teenage prostitute at the tender age of 17 due to an unplanned-parenthood. Her: God forgave me. Me: ...Yes, well, that's wonderful.
Ugh...I like her and all, but I have no respect for those kinds of people... Unless you were raped (that usually happens once, so in this case, it's not an excuse), there is no excuse for the amount of stupidity it takes to run around and collect various STDs as a hobby... I mean... at least WAIT until you know what STD stands for and how to use a condom.
It's none of my concern, though. I really don't belong in that school.
P.S. I am sick of being taught by a gym teacher who can't even bend down because she's so old. A girl who's in my class had a GRANDMOTHER taught by our gym teacher. Also... really, really not necessary to do a workout from the 50's using a RECORD PLAYER from the same time period. Oh, and the workout is also very sexist. Great for an all girl's school. That's just how we like it.

Weird, yesterday when I logged in with the Wii I could see it... It's the kinda beige colored one with Viktor and Flik sitting together looking at the horizon.
Wow 10? Yowch. It must be like throwing a hotdog down a hallway by now sweatdrop What are you doing in a school like that anyway? If I were you I'd just study history on my own. Schools aren't necessarily the best source for history anyway, as each school has it's own individual agendas or limitations and therefore their own version of history.
Quistis, were they actually disappointed in YOU or the situation in general? Cause yeah that's BS that you bust your a** just to get moaned at.

For the people I've talked to, it's split even. Kevin and Josh are "in you". Kaitlin and Helen are "at the situation".

Oh I know... I know... It's some crazy a** s**t, I tell you. The fact that someone could be se terribly stupid blows my mind. Apparently she was 'abused,' and I asked her about that, but she totally did NOT mean it in the literal sense. I don't understand how she could describe her having sex at such a young age as being abused... when she's the one who wanted it.
Stupid. a**. s**t.

Bringing it back because I need to vent.
I hate one of my friends. Well, I guess if you hate someone, they're not your friend. I don't know how she feels about me - neutral or fine, I guess. But gorram it, I just hate CM [name omitted].
I hate the sounds she makes sometimes - little grunts or squeaks. I hate that she randomly speaks Japanese. I don't know WHY she randomly speaks Japanese, like saying Daijobuu instead of Are You Okay?, or Mattesue instead of Bless You or Gesundheit, or any other number of things. I hate how she's all lovey-dovey super best friends forever with M [other friend] yet barely pays attention to anyone else. I hate how she fawns over the international kids, to the point where whenever she's with us she's always all "OHEMGEE, I wonder where the international kids are?" or "I wanna go hang out with the International Kids!" or any number of stupid crap. When she's with other people! Is your present company not good enough or something? And I just hate her general audiophilia. Yeah, I have a lot of Asian friends, and I think the place is cool too, but it's not the only fricking thing in the world.
And how she hates religon? Like, okay, I have no problem with atheists or atheism- to each their own, right? - but that does not give you the rights to hate on my religion. Yes, I'm Christian! Yes, I'm Catholic! So STOP SAYING HOW CHRISTIANITY RUINED EVREYTHING. "Oh, Christianity, you ruin everything you touch." ACTUAL QUOTE. And I HATE how she is apparently rooming with another one of my friends next year. I asked J [other friend] if she wanted to room with me, and she said maybe, which was the best response I had gotten (the rest were all varieties of No.) Then, CM tells me today, she and J are rooming together next year!! FFFFF. I hate everything about this girl, and I just wish she would disappear forever.
Okay, better.
ETA: It gets better! Or, uh, worse. See, J, from her reaction and the email she sent me yesterday ("Yay roomies! =D") she legit wanted to room with me. But it seems CM just couldn't have that! Nope, because when she saw how sad I was when she said J was going to room with her, she apparently went out of her way to remind J that they will be rooming together, thank you very much. So now I have no friends to room with next semester! FRIENDSHIP FAIL.

Thanks, man. And hey, I'm sure your friends don't just "keep you around" to have someone to vent at. Venting is (or should be!) a mutual activity - complaining about your problems and then having a friend or friends there to comfort and commiserate.
Anything on your mind?
