Everyone had any experiences with kinesis?
Telekinesis- moving objects
Pyrokinesis- manipulating fire
aquakinesis- manipulating water
cyrokinesis- manipulating ice
elektrokinese- create or manipulating elektricity
My mentor got in to this a while ago, and he's suprisingly quick in learning it.He has been able to teleknisesis already, and he got into cyrokinesis later.He told me that he can create ice , but that it doesn't always worked out as planned and that he had accidentily frozen stuff sometimes.We talk through MSN, but i do trust and believe him when he says he can do this.I've never seen him doing this , but he did turned on the webcam to show me that he could put out a lucifer((match?sp?)) by doing something with his hand ((yes he could easily put it out just using his hand, i couldn't see it right XD.))
SO what are your opinions or experiences on kinesis?

I'd love to be able to learn it, unfortunetly I can't believe it until I see it done or have someone give me a method that works. It's not that I don't believe it's possible, I think anything is possible if you truly believe and feel enough for it, however it's just that many people use smoke & mirrors to do those things, and my friend can put out matches with her hand too sweatdrop It's just a trick, and until I see that it's anything more... yeah.

I've only ever heard of telekinesis, not the others. I'd love to believe it possible, probably because I watch WAY to much Avatar for my own good xd , but just cause he did it on webcam doesn't prove it. I talk with my boyfriend on webcam whenever possible and the things are notoriously slow and jerky. I'd ask him to do it for you in person if that's possible.

I've never seen it happen, but my teacher Jose, whose connection with water is even greater then mine, does have the ability to control it.
I'm going to ask him to go into greater detail so we will have more to discuss here. ^_^

A lot of people claim to be able to do pyrokinesis by being able to light or snuff a candle just by looking at it. I've never seen it done though.
I've practiced electrokinesis before. It takes a lot of concentration when you're first learning to do it, but is possible. If you've ever made a psyball before, then that was what you were doing, electrokinesis.

My heart has stopped..... The manipulation of the elements is not called kinesis of any kind.
Electro-Manipulation is the ability to move an electric current (and form electric energy) and so on down the elemental list.
Telekinesis is a totally different thing, such as in Telekinesis you cannot simply form something with your mind and it is limited to the movement of objects. Elemental Manipulation on the other hand is completely different in the fact that people who have this ability can cause water/fire whatever to be created from the energy around them. Please for me don't call it aquakinesis.

In an effort to develop telekinesis several books I have actually recommended by starting with water or fire. I seem to have greater luck with fire. I have been too busy as of late to practice everyday, so my skill has dropped immensely, but the exercise I had become proficient at involved a candle flame. Sit in front of it (and make sure no air conditioning or fans are one!) and as you focus on the flame have it move to a 90 degree angle right or left, hold it there for as long as your focus allows, and then release it. Bend it in the opposite direction. Also work with making the flame taller and shorter. It's very exhausting at first, and I have not tried to move onto more advanced things, but it does work after a while! (Yes a while, there is very little chance that anything will happen on the first, second, or third attempt. Practice is key!)

Because you say so? That's not a fact. I'm not trying to be rude or anything of that nature, but a lot of people call it that. Whether or not that's what it's suppose to be called, I don't know. But that is what a lot of people call it. Now, I've never heard the terms "cyrokinesis" and "aquakinesis" before, but I often hear and see (in books and on the internet) the terms "pyrokinesis" and "electrokinese". I've heard of a few other "kinesis" things before as well, although, I don't remember what they were.
I honestly don't see why you're so offended by that.

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...My old HP recognized that I might have a talent for pyrokinesis, after doing some work with candles. It's not something I've worked on, though. I'm too much of a pyro to go playing with fire. ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.

I would love to be directed to some books on the subject but I have to say it is really tough for me to comprehend as I have never seen such a thing done WITHOUT smoke and mirrors. I've always been told I'm extremely psychicly gifted however, so I would truly love to learn. I'm about to make a large book order from amazon so.. any names are appreciated n.n heart

Fu will probably back me up here... I have in the past toyed with flames... pushing them in directions, making them smaller, making them bigger.
But I havent done that in AGES.
And I couldn't do it everytime I tried.
Telekinesis- about as far as I have managed so far is to tip over a box of cookie dough to stop my 5"1 friend reaching it.
And again, Fu will probably back me up- I think she was there smile
I would absolutely love to do more though.

Sorry if I sound like a b***h, but the deepest term of telekinesis is the ability to move an object. What your talking about is the abillity to actually be able to create water/fire whatever with your mind, this is were it crossed over into the realm of water manipulation. If you are simply moving the element, then yes it is considered to be pyrokinesis. The general term is incorrect. Maybe I misinterperated the first post or I badly explained things, sorry, but terminology is a big thing to me. I still detest the term aquakinesis. The others I've heard of but I still didn't like them because they blur lines.
