[I need a better title. x__@;]
Raven scrambled out of the stuffy car, eager to be free from the metal contraption. She fanned out her wings, letting the slight wind filter through them, before looking at the giant polls holding up what looked like train tracks.
"Momma?" Raven queried, about to ask what a train was doing here, especially in the sky, when a cart of screaming people tore down it and went through a loop and twirled and disappeared.
Bird watched in amusement when a very nervous Raven turned back to her. "... I'm not so sure about this.."

"Let. Go."
Unfortunately, Karoko would do no such thing. Infact, if anything the grip she had around her guardians leg noticeablely tightened. Any other member of their "family" would've claimed the Eden was lucky to get such special treatment. No one else would've gotten away with this...
"Dracula, let go of me. The noises won't hurt you." Noharu assured her impatiently, making a useless attempt to shake the Eden off. When Karoko failed to obey yet again, the poor fox-eared teenager had had enough, and forcefully pulled her off and set her on the ground.
"It's a rollercoaster, you dumb...Eden thing. Nothing to be afraid of, alright?"

If Raven had ears atop her head and was a member of the canine family, they would've perked. Somebody said Eden. She turned her head quizically to the source.
"... Hey!" Raven waved crazily toward the two figures, reasoning that they must've been the ones who spoke. Who else had bat wings and a tail around here? She raced over, excited. The butterflly resting on her shoulder, Rumkai, dug his many legs into her shirt and held on as tightly as an insect possibly could.

Poor Karoko just couldn't win. Just as she adjusted to the sounds of the roller coaster, some crazy lady was waving at them and yelling. By time said 'crazy lady' (aka Raven) would make her way over, the bat Eden would've latched onto her guardian again, whining loudly. She'd still failed to speak an entire sentence but once, which was beginning to annoy Noharu since she'd been around for a nice amount of time.
How long had it been exactly? She couldn't remember, but knew it was long enough to learn to talk more than she did. The thought the Eden was just quiet never crossed her mind.
It was common she jumped to conclusions, but wasn't so common was that she'd be right. "Hey, kid, you're one of these Eden things too, right?" And a friendly one. Maybe she'd distract 'Dracula' for a while.

"Eden things? Uh-- yeah, I am." Raven blinked at the smaller Eden, watching her trying to immitate a leech. "Uhm... My name's Raven. What's yours? And," she motioned with a feathered hand, "hers."
Rumkai hopped off Raven's shoulder, and fluttered down inquisitively toward the two strangers. He didn't get many chances to observe new people, after all; Raven was often on her way to the moon if he left her shoulder. Rumkai reasoned that a new Eden would keep her occupied for at least a few moments.

"Noharu." Even introducing herself her tone didn't become any more polite. Maybe it was due to Raven's age, and Noharu being one of those with the view 'children should be seen, not heard'. Somewhat ironic taking into account a big part of the annoyance she felt was because Karoko didn't speak enough. "Get off me and tell her your name, Dracula."
Before she bothered answering, the younger of the two Eden peered up at her guardian, searching for any sign she might give in and take her back home. Unfortunately, Noharu's expression was that one she held when the situation wasn't up for debate.
Hesitantly, the grip on her lifeline of sorts loosened until both hands finally fell at her side. Still, she didn't move even an inch, eyes lowered in an almost guilty way. "Karrrroko."

... Raven wasn't too sure she liked this lady. But, it was always in everyone's best interest to be polite; she decided to continue being.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Karoko!" Raven said with a grin, bending down slightly. Her knees cracked as she went down; blasted sitting in the car.
Rumkai fluttered onto Raven's hand, stretching his wings luxuriously in the sudden breeze. "And this," Raven wiggled her fingers, elicting a disgruntled remark from the butterfly, "is Rumkai. He's a flutterboo, and he's usually too grumpy for his own good."

Karoko did nothing more than nod at first. It wasn't that she was as rude as Noharu, just terrified very, very easily, and as far as she was concerned Raven still classified as 'scarey'.
With the introduction of Rumkai, the fear seemed to fade for a brief time. Her bright blue eyes wide in wonder, she carefully reached up with the intention to touch such an interesting creature. Only an inch away, her hand shot back to her side as if she'd suddenly been burned. Still, she did seem pleased and entertained with this being. "Butterrrfly prrretty."
With this new distraction, Noharu inched away slowly. Hopefully this would keep the little brat from clinging to her for a while.

Rumkai was pleased. He enjoyed being the center of attention, relished it; he was rarely given that title around Raven and at their dwelling. Always squashed; always giggled at; always poked and prodded.
Much to Raven's amusement, he was all set to try our purring when the child's hand shot back. This miffed him; he decided to go closer to the girl if she wouldn't come to him.
Raven watched the butterfly light from her fingers and glide down to Karoko with a grin. He landed softly on top of her head, hoping she wouldn't scream or squeal or try to bat him off like some others before her had done.

Karoko could've possiblely surprised everyone but herself when she had no negative reaction to the butterfly that now sat on her head. Even she couldn't find anything about butterflies to be afraid of. Besides, this creature was smaller than her. He didn't tower over her in the way most she met did.
He was still no exception to her bad habit of forgetting names, though. "Butterrrrfly," she repeated happily, glancing up at him in a slightly amusing, cross-eyed display. "Hi, butterrrfly."

Raven hid her chuckles behind a palm as Rumkai traveled down the length of Karoko's bangs, dangling precariously on the end of one. He flapped his wings a few times, getting the blood pumping through and allowing the brighter colors in his delicate wings to shine, before completely losing his grip on the fine strands of hair and falling to the girl's nose.
He had never been poised and suave. Rumkai had a nasty streak of clumsiness zooming through his small body.

Instinct told her to smack the thing on her face, but lucky for the 'pretty butterfly' Karoko wasn't easily swayed by such things. Also lucky for him, Karoko was a fruit bat Eden, otherwise she might be tempted to try and eat him. Actually, she wasn't positive if any bats ate butterflies, but she'd heard they ate other bugs...
Her nose wrinkled back and twitched in reponse to the sudden extra weight, which was really hardly noticeable. Mostly it tickled, proven by the tiny giggle from the toddler. "Butterrrfly."
The rollercoaster zooming past them made the tiny girl jump, eyes widen in alarm. She only became more nervous with the realization Noharu had moved to a bench quite far away for the standards of Karoko.

Making her way down the street was yet another teenage female, this one walking somewhat awkwardly. This was because a certain inky-haired toddler had one hand and three octopus arms wrapped in a deathgrip around her left wrist. Her right arm was trying to keep an ice cream cone from splattering all over the ground; the octopus lad was holding a caramel apple in his free arm, sometimes pausing from looking at his surroundings to take a nibble at it.
The reason that they were at an amusement park in the first place was in Mouse's hopes of getting Sylvest's mind off of the beach he missed so badly, if only for a little while. It seemed to be working- the boy's natural curiosity had gotten the best of him and he was taking in all of the sights and sounds (and tastes) of the place. If he were to actually speak, that would take a lot off worry off of the scholar's shoulders- walking around with a silent little boy who had tentacles growing out of his back didn't recieve the friendliest looks.
"...M-mmama--" Sylvest indicated directly ahead of him with his free octopus arm. It looked like he recognized someone and wanted to say hi.

Rumkai skittered on her nose for a few moments before regaining his small sense of balance. He quickly fluttered off of Karoko, thinking it would be a much better idea to stay in the air than to attempt to land on someone again. Aligning his wings to follow one of the smaller air currents, Rumkai glided around the two Eden, taking in the sights of the theme park.
Raven noticed the child's discomfort and worried. "... Are-- are you okay?" she questioned.
Rumkai barked something in his language, snagging Raven's attention. She immediately noticed the many arms curled around a lady's wrist, and bewilderment set in.

Karoko failed to answer. She looked guilty again. Noharu could never figure out why for sure, but assumed it was shame for being such a 'damn coward'. Really, she could've just as easily been right as wrong.
When Raven suddenly looked amazed by something, Karoko couldn't help but feel a bit curious as to what had her interest. When she realized what--who--it was, an odd squeal-like sound that was some obvious display of joy burst from the toddler.
There were bright sides to being such a tiny girl. For example, it was easy to weave through crowds of people, which she did while happily making her way to the boy she recognized but who's name she couldn't remember. Skidding to a stop infront of Mouse, she held her arms up toward such a boy and clapped her hands together.
