... what will they become next?
I'm thinking about investing, but quite frankly I'm confused.
So what do you guys think about these costly mysteries? What are they all about, and which ones are worth it?

I think it's just another overrated gimmick designed to make Gaia some more cash.
Notice how you can't alter what evolutionary stage the item is in? Like, you have to actually re-save your avatar and it's forever changed. It's great to see the progression if you're some kid posting here everyday, but if you're strapped for time you'll barely have time to enjoy it (and the prestige the item offers). They do look nice, though.

It is most certainly an easy way for them to rake in more cash for the site and get richer. But your right Grippy, the items sure are adorable! ^^
As far as investing goes...I would suggest investing on the ones they won't always have around all the time. I believe at some point each evolutionary item will leave the cash shop at some point, and then new ones will come in. It entices users to purchase them with real money so their avatar can get "richer". And it works well. I wish I woulda thought of that! rofl
I like to buy them cause they are cute. 3nodding

Does anyone know why earlier generations of Hermes Moon don't show up in a preview of the current generation?
I'm not getting that at all. If I bought one from the cash shop will I only be able to equip the 8th generation as opposed to being able to equip ALL 8 generations of evolutionary goodness?
Because that's really not fair for us late shoppers having to pay a full price for one evolution whereas those who bought it in the beginning get ALL stages of evolution.

With any of them that you buy..
You have to just wait it out through all of it's stages.
Once it's done evolving though it will have ALL of it's stages. 3nodding
On a side note I would like to point out that the rose has a "Bat" pose!
