Ashstar looked gravly across camp. I lost a life he thought to himself

"What are your orders, Ashstar?" Blackfoot asked the Leafclan deputy.

"I'll call a clan meeting." He said gravly. he jumped up onto the highrock. " Let all cats old enought to catch their own pray join here beneath the high rock for a clan meeting." He said.

Cats in the clan gathered round.

"Brokenclaw and Deventheart are dead!'' he said proudly, staying strong for his clan. " and the refuges that helped them are gone aswell!"

I wish i could have been an apprentice before the attack, then i could have helped. Mosskit thought to herself.

Foxtail yowled her approval. The fight was very hard, but satisfying. They wouldn't be troubled anytime soon.

'Thank Starclan they are gone!' Amberpaw padded into the apprentices den so she could get some rest. She was feeling extremely tired and wanted to lay down.

Ashstar purred, his clan was satisfied with the announcement. he jumped down from the Highrock and padded over to Blackfoot. "Blackfoot go out on a hunting patrol and bring back as much prey as possible." he said.

Blackfoot nodded. "I'll bring Foxtail with me., Leaf- fall is comeing" he said.

Ashstar nodded ," Ill stay in camp with the rest of the cats. Let Amberpaw rest."

Mosskit padded over to her father. " I'll come with." she said proudly.

"Not until your an apprentice." Blackfoot replied. he padded over to Foxtail. "Hunting patrol?"

Foxtail looked around, she sniffed the air in hopes of catching prey scent.

Blackfoot padded forward stopping every once and a while to sniff the air for any sent of prey. he heard what seemed to be a mouse.

Amberpaw hopped up. She was totally refreshed, thank Starclan that she was allowed to sleep for a while! She walked out into the camp and took a deep breath of fresh air. She was surprisingly happy after the lawless, bloody battle.

Mosskit chased a little ball of moss around the camp. "sigh, I wanna be an apprentice."

Ashstar watched the camp activity from under the highrock. I should start thinking on how is going to the gathering coming up. he thought.

Blackfoot and Foxtail had caught an amazing amout of fresh- Kill by the time they returned. Blackfoot placed his catched on the Pile "exelent job!" he said to Foxtail, " you caught tons!" he purred.

Amberpaw saw her mentor and ran over to him and Foxtail. "Wow! You guys caught a ton!" Her eyes got huge when she looked at the fresh-kill pile.

"Thank you Amberpaw." Blackfoot purred, "But dont worry you'll be catching just as much by the time Leaf- fall comes. " I'll bring you out on a patrol later, tomorrow and then we will do some battle training as well." He said twitching his tail.

Mosskit chased a leaf around camp. glanceing at Foxtail ever so often, but she lost interest and went into the Nersury. the Queens were sleeping. "sigh." she padded behind the nersury. she lay down staring at the clouds through Leafs. "I wanna go out." she said, sniffing the air. she pushed her way out of camp. baryly making it out. she let out a purr of satifaction. and she sniffed the air, following at trail that had the sent of mouse. padding farther and farther from camp.

Ashstar purred when he saw the amount of prey his deputy and Foxtail brought back. He rose to his paws. "well, done." he meowed across the clearing.

Amberpaw let out a happy mew. "Ok Blackfoot, thank you!" She turned her head and ran over to the nursery to see if the queens needed anything. She sniffed the air and caught a familliar scent. She thought she should say hello so she followed it behind the nursery and she still did not see another cat. The scent trail led out of camp. She thought for a few moments on who it was. 'Mosskit?'
