This topic is a much widely discussed issue, should homosexuals be given the right to marry under the federal constitution?
One who might be for it would perhaps consider how, regardless of what their sexuality is, any person is a person,. And any person should be able to have as much rights as another individual besides him, and their interest should not coincide with the government. A man should be able to marry a man, and a woman should be able to marry a woman, for it is love that matters.
One who might be against it would perhaps consider how liberal allowing gay marriages is. If one man wants to marry another, why can't one man marry interspecies? Or, why can't he have more than one wife? I mean, it is love afterall, so how about a man who loves more than one woman? Should he not get as much rights as a man who loves another man?
Anyways, discussion at hand, do you think homosexual marriages should be legalized in the United States.

their legalized here in canada, and personally i have nothing against it in anyway, i think they should, people should have the right to love anyone they want to. transpecies marriage is a little different, humans are the same species but not the same sex. i belive their is somewhere where you can marry phyical objects(lol no jokes) some old lady married here cat so all her fortune would go to the kat if she died,(her direct family was very unloving, go figure ) you cant really change a homosexuals mind(not that id want to) their born in this way and you can't accuse them of that, especially parents shouldnt critize, you should love your child equally however they are born, to say that somethings wrong with having a homosexual kid is in a sense almost hypocritical because you create your child(unless adopted) so you and the kid are of the same flesh.. yea i guess thats just my veiw, sorry if i mispelled anything

i think it should be legalized... if you love someone, you should be able to marry and have all the legal and social privileges that entails. i can't say i agree with polygamous marriage, because i do believe that marriage is 2 people. but "one man, one woman"? BS.

First of all, let me tell you that I don't believe in marriage.
However, it infuriates me when I hear about this subject; if two people want to get married, just let them! Witholding this right is not only unconstitutional, it's plain WRONG.
If two people are truly happy together, regardless of gender, they should be able to choose without fear to live happily together. And every relationship has their ups and downs, something I don't think the... idiots realize. I bet it's something that just throws a wrench right in there!
I've made up my mind; if the legalization of homosexual relationships isn't made in the next ten years, I'm gonna lay it out for... them... in terms they can understand. Even if I have to maim some of them in the hopefully painful process.

I don't see anything wrong with it and it's not like it's hurting anyone (well except maybe the Religious Right). I say let them marry.
Marriage isn't about race, social status, creed, disability or gender, it's all about love and commitment.

I wish I could have phrased it better, but if I had it probably would have invalidated my point to a degree.

Of course it should be legal. Just because one's love is different from what others call "normal" doesn't mean you should stop them from their freedom. Let them have their happiness. There is no problem. I may be straight but I have no problem with it.

I think gay marriage should be legalized. I mean, this is where it gets confusing for me, because of the way I am and the way I was brought up, it isn't the traditional marriage the bible states, but if you're going to break one rule there, you might as well not break another, I mean, not letting gay people marry is sort of like encouraging them to have sex without marriage, and that's frowned upon in the bible too, so...two wrongs don't make a right...I think there should be gay marriage...I don't know, that sounded stupid as soon as I said it, but maybe it will make sense to some one else...

The way I see it, love knows no boundaries. In taking that into thought, gay marriage, or even gay relationships are just love, and with love nothing should matter (meaning gender, race, and all that fun stuff). Marriage is supposed to be the union of two people, (or more for those polygamists ;D), not just the union of one man and one woman.
zZdioZz: Normal is in the eye of the beholder, just like beauty. What you see as normal may be outrageous or weird to someone else.

I'm Christian, I believe homosexuality is wrong (I don't have a problem with gay people, I have a gay friend, hes hilarous), but I believe that if somebody loves somebody they should be able to marry whoever they want to. Trying to ban gay marriage isn't going to stop people from being gay, I don't see the point.
