I thought the Muay Thai back fist was supposed to be travelling downwards at the moment of impact? No?

That's neat, do you follow through with those? I've learned to always strike through the chin with that move.

Yea, I saw this.
Personally, I'd much rather do a spinnin elbow than a backfist. And for the record, Muay Thai doesn't have a backfist. You'll never see one in Lumpini or Rajadamnern. I don't personally like it tho. Anyone thats used it on me, has pretty much ran into my guard without me even having to defend. I suppose its a good tech for like a surprise shot or somethin.
