I would only like to RP with 2 other people, so please don't post if there are already 2 other people here. Thank you! "Brr, why is it so cold in here?" muttered Serra from her bed. She had been tossing and turning for a long while now, trying to ignore the chill, but it had become too much. Standing up, the Ulaya stretched, then took a peek out of her window. "Ooh! It's snowing!" she exclaimed, suddenly not so tired anymore. The first snowfall of the season always filled her with joy. "Time to play!" Within moments, the blue and light gray Ulaya was outside. The snow on the ground was a good four inches deep, and it was still dropping from the heavens in light flurries. The fresh flakes which landed on her fur blended nicely with her snow-like markings, making it seem to those who didn't know her as if she were plain blue. To Serra, this was the ONLY downside to winter weather; otherwise, it was her favorite season. She began one of her favorite snow day activities - building a snow Ulaya, humming "Jingle Bell Rock" as she worked. What a wonderful day today would be!

Purizumu padded about looking behind him at the paw prints he made in the snow. He blinked and smiled happily, winter was one of his favorite seasons, he even had a snowflake on his head, he was also glad fall was over. He turned his head back forward and breathed through his mouth then looked at the mist. When it disappeared he finally noticed the other Ulaya, quickly he dove behind a large clump of snow, which probably had a boulder buried under it. He quietly peaked over at the other Ulaya, perhaps I should just wait till they leave... than I'll be on my merrily way! Purizu lowered his ears, he was a little too shy to simply just walk past another Ulaya. He sighed, he really needed to get over this one day.

Serra was having a blast! After finishing her snow Ulaya (as well as "Jingle Bell Rock", "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" and "Winter Wonderland"), she was ready to move on to the next fun-filled snow day activity - sledding!
Quickly, she darted back into her home and grabbed her sled - a large piece of bark that had fallen from a tree last year. Serra had seen it on the ground, and she just knew it would be perfect. Grasping the hunk of wood in her jaw, she made her way back outside. There was a small hill close by, created by a conveniently placed boulder. It would be a good place to push off.
The blue Ulaya swiftly climbed to the peak of her sled point, and her eyes wandered to the other side. Whoa! Someone else was hiding out behind her hill!
I wonder how long her's been there? Serra wondered for a moment. And how come he didn't say hello or anything? Ah well, I guess it doesn't matter.
"Hey there! It's a beautiful day for playing in the snow, isn't it?" she blurted out without really thinking about it much. She'd never been the type for introductions anyway; here preference was to jump right to the point. "Want to join me? I don't mind sharing."
Smiling gleefully, obviously excited about the thought of some company, Serra waited for the other Ulaya's response.

Purizu lowered his ears, he was apparently not one of the best hiders. Getting up and padding over to her he nodded his head once in greeting. "Indeed it is a very lovely day for snowy fun..." He mumbled while looking down. Quietly he sat down and daintily propped his paws in front of him and his long tail curled around him. "I'm Purizumu, and your...?" She was a very interesting looking Ulaya, she looked pure blue from afar but it turns out that some of the white things on her are actually markings.

Serra had been right - this Ulaya was a shy one. She could tell by the way he acted, mumbling and keeping his eyes on the ground. It might be difficult breaking this one from his shell, but Serra was certainnly going to try.
"Purizumu? What an interesting name!" she responded cheerfully, beaming a warm smile at her new companion. "I'm Serra. Would you like to go sledding with me? You can have the first go if you want."
But what if he doesn't like sledding?
The thought came suddenly, but it brought up a good point. Hastily, Serra added to her short speech:
"Or, we could do something different. I'm up for just about anything!"

Purizu shrugged, sledding sounded alright to him, sounded a bit scary from the fact that if he went to fast he could flip off but it could never hurt bad when there is snow, right? "You can go first I suppose..." He wondered if if whatever path she was going to sled was a clear one, some people are good at turns and some are not. Purizu shook himself a bit, the snow was beginning to layer on top of him.

Yay! Purizu had agreed to go sledding with her! Serra placed the bit of bark down into the snow, and put wer two front paws on top. Thankfully, the area around her home only had a minimal amount of trees and other obstructions, so as long as they didn't push of in the direction of her home itself, the path was completely clear and perfect for sledding.
"Have you ever sled before, or is this your first time?" she said to Purizu as she stepped forward to make room on the bark for her back paws. It seemed as though he was a little wary of the activity, but that could just be his shyness peeking out again. Sometimes Serra found it hard to tell these sorts of things.

"It's my first time..." He admitted, he had never really slided down snow before unless he had been clumsy and slipped. Well, theres a first time for everything I suppose... Purizu then sighed, but I really do have a habit of not like my first time at things... Purizu looked down the hill and then shuffled his paws, the snow is soft at least in case I fall... He just had another one of those gut feelings something bad was going to happen, sometimes it was right and sometimes it was wrong.

"Ooh, so you ARE a first-timer!" Serra said, then chuckled. "You're going to have a blast, I just know it! But I guess it would be good for you to watch me first, so you can see how it's done." She felt happy, knowing that she was able to teach another Ulaya such a fun thing to do!
"The first thing to know is to get a good grip on your sled. It wouldn't be very fun to fall off before you really get going, now would it?" At that, Serra seated herself and sunk her claws into the bark.
"Some Uyalas sit up, but I prefer to stay low," she continued. "You're more aerodynamic that way." Then, the blue snow-spotted Ulaya crouched down, almost as though she were laying.
"And then, all you've got to do is wait to be pushed!" Serra grinned up at Purizu, filled with adrenaline for her upcoming ride.

Purizu nodded and watched. A push...? Like wind or something? Purizu tilted his head to the side confused, was she that light that wind could push her? Purizu shook his head, she probably meant gravity which was more of a pull. Well, either way I know I'll be very frightened for my turn, he sighed, I talk to myself way too much for one's good...

The next few moments went on in silence before Serra realized her mistake.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed in a light voice, "Usually, when more than one Ulaya go sledding together, the Ulaya that's not on the sled will give the other a small push at the top, to get the sled moving."
Serra blushed. She really needed to start thinking about what she was saying! It was such a silly misunderstanding.
"Would you do the honors, please, Purizu? Or I could take a running start if you'd prefer - that's what you've got to do if you're sledding alone."

Purizu chuckled, "it's quite alright..." Purizu then gave her a light push, enough to get the sled moving at least. I hope that the hill is steep enough so she can pick up some speed so my push doesn't seem pathetic... oh wait, never mind, he thought, remembering he was going to have to go on the bark of doom after her. I should suck it up, I bet it's really fun no matter how dangerous it seems in my sissy eyes... He smiled lightly, it was nice to have others around, if he was alone of course he would not go sledding! For Purizu most peer pressure was the good kind, though he did sort of put it on himself, he just needed another Ulaya so he can be a bit braver.

Purizu pushed Serra lightly, just as she'd wanted. The ride began slow, but once the piece of bark was mostly over the edge of the summit, it began to pick up speed.
"Wahoo!" Serra called out as the wind flew through her fur. The hill wasn't very big, but the ride was still fun. Expertly, Serra remained balanced on the sled until it came to a stop about 10 feet from the base of the hill. She then leaped off and picked up the bark, and padded back to the top to the hill.
"That was AWESOME! I LOVE the first sled ride of the season!" Serra exclaimed as she neared Purizu. She set the bark back down where it had been moments before, and nodded towards it.
"Your turn!" she said sweetly.

"Ummm, okay..." Purizu got on to the sled, planting his paws down and hunching over, he didn't want to be completely down and he didn't want to be sticking up. He gulped, envisioning how he would fly off, well, I might as well try and fly off gracefully... He thought chuckling to himself nervously. "So should I say when?"

Serra watched as Purizu carefully braced himself on the bark. He must have watched her run intently, for he was copying her position quite well. It seemed to Serra, though, that he was gripping a bit tight.
Hmm, maybe he's more afraid that I thought, mused Serra. Well, there's really only one way of getting over your fears...
"Off you go!" chirped Serra gleefully as she gently set the sled in motion. She hadn't even heard the male's question. It was only in hindsight that Serra wondered if, maybe, she shouldn't have done that.
