Lily is walking up the main dreary corridor at school, looking at all the insignificant faces who aren't going to Julia's party. "Well aren't I lucky.." She murmurs under her breath as she passes her sworn enemy, Shelley Claxon. I swear if she is going to the party it will be the worst night of my life! Hey! Did she just give me a dirty look? Uh, whatever! Lily spots Julia up the hall and smiles. "Julia! Hey over here!" she yells as she rushes up to her. Julia I'm over here! Uh she must have not heard me Lily continues to walk up the corridor and beam with pride at the fact that she was going to Julia's Sweet Sixteen.
Most of her subjects for the day were quite boring and she couldn't really remember much but at least she took notes. Lily couldn't help smiling at how unaware some of the teachers were of what their students were up to. Strutting out the school with her Ipod in her ears, the only thing that Lily was thinking about was tomorrow night. What am I going to wear? Who is going to be there? I hope that everyone comes!

Handing out invitations, getting RSVP's, figuring out what to eat, what kind of cake to have, which sodas everyone likes, making sure not to invites people that hate each other, finding the perfect party outfit, cleaning the huge house, putting away anything that breaks easily makes the pre-party scene horibble; it was why Julia never had parties herself -- and even going to other people's parties required a list. But this was Julia's Sweet Sixteen; she had to throw a party. Thankfully her mom let her get pre-made everything, because neither Julia nor her mother could cook to save their lives. But of course, that didn't exactly check it off her list.
Technically, Julia turned sixteen last Saturday. But instead having having/preparing for a party, she got her driver's licesnse to go with the new -- well used, but new to her -- car her parents got her. Driving was esstintial to Julia, but it also meant that any errands for the party were to be made by her.
Julia started preparations on Friday night. She got chips and dip, ordered the cake, and half-way cleaned the house. Today she finished cleaning the house picked up the cake, got drinks, and got paper plates and cups. Three hours before the party, the house was ready. Now Julia had to get ready. First, she took a long, hot shower and cleaned off any cleaning liquids or smells attached to her body. Then, after standing in her closet with her robe on for 45 minutes, Julia found the perfect party outfit: an off the shoulder, pink blouse, with little, string ties below the shoulders; smooth, brown, kaiki pants, with a perfectly-fitted red belt; and pink and red flats. She decided to just keep her hair straight down; nothing fancy, because it would probably just get messed up easily.
She was ready. She fixed last minute details, and then waited for her 13 guests to arrive. This was starting out to be a pretty perfect night.
