She was.... well, pretty enough, he figured as he tilted his head, eyes narrowed down. He'd been watching her for a while now; the way she moved, the way she looked about as she lay comfortably a short distance away. It was obvious she'd spotted him; he was laying out in the open, for all to see, on top of a rock, his tail thumping the hard surface, and though at first he didn't move, he did watch her.
Maybe she was the one? Tell truth, in a way, he highly doubt it, but it was well worth a shot. As far as Nuka was concerned, it was a matter of trial and error, really. If he and Anana were going to find a mate for her nutjob father (because - oh, he'd only seen him a couple of times from a distance, but he knew... oh how he knew), they were going to stop being picky. This pretty lil girl... well, was worth a try, wasn't it? He wasn't sure if someone with such a lithe frame would be able to hold someone like Uovu, but still, appearances could be quite decieving.
Worth a shot.

She'd been watching him... watching her; she couldn't phantom why he seemed so intent on regarding her, however, the lithe cheetah liked the attention. She always had, after all, and thus, under the male's watchful gaze, she did her best to puff up, looking as prim and proper as she could; granted, HE didn't look all that primp and proper, really. In fact, the male that lay a distance away looked almost scrufy, with a definite 'bad boy' attitude and air to him; the mane that hung over his eyes was awkward, pointy, sticking out in odd turns and edges. It was mildly amusing.
And attractive, if she paused to think about it; he had a rather attractive air to him, confident, as if he knew perfectly well what he was doing.
He wanted something though, of that, Alcyone was quite certain; what it was he wanted, she did not know, but was willing to find out. He had to make the first move however, and thus, she lay and waited, because if she knew something, it was that males that WANTED something were always willing to make the first move. After taking one last glance his way, Alcyone focused her gaze on the distant herds, her head tilting somewhat as she waited.

She was watching him back; of that, Nukpana was quite certain, and after just a moment's hesitation, the cheetah finally pushed himself off the rock he'd been laying on. If she wasn't going to make the first move, he would; so thus, he jumped off the boulder, shaking his frame as he reached land, a bit of dust flying off him, remains of the earlier hunt with Anana, where he'd somehow managed to tackle an antelope down.... landing in a puddle of mud in the process.
He'd groomed himself, but the mud had clung fiercely to his coat, and though it was by then dry, a bit of dust still clung to his form. Granted, it wasn't all that noticeable, hidden by the dusty blue color of his own hair, however, the smaller female had insisted he groom somewhat in her presence; either that, or SHE'D groom HIM into perfection. Nuka grimaced at the though; Anana was quite capable of doing so too; he did not doubt it, and so, he'd taken a bit of care to his coat where he usually wouldn't have.
Moving with confidence, he neared the resting female, smirking down at her as he reached the shade of her tree, "Say, mind if I rest under yer shade too, toots?" he was used to nicknames and pet names; nicknames meant he wasn't getting attached... and thus used them whenever possible. Attachment was dangerous, "Sun's bloody strong this time o' day," it was an excuse but maybe it'd get him what he wanted.
Still worth a try.

A small smile broke upon her maw as he spoke, her body scooting over slightly to allow him space, "Sure," she spoke softly, mildly as she watched him, her tail curling about her body in a protective manner, "Why not? It's free land, isn't it?" she, unlike him, did not speak with an accent, her upbringing showing though her words of choice and attitude; in fact, all in all, she acted as if she were a princess. Of royal blood, from a long lost line. He on the other hand, looked like a rogue (never better said) and a thief; all scruffy and well... he didn't look like he'd had her upbringing, at all, "Resting up the energy to hunt later?"
Alcyone had not missed the fact he looked like a scoundrel; oh no, rather, she'd noticed it instantly. The bones and feathers that hung from his form added to his overall appeal, and she couldn't help but smile; it was taboo for a princess and a thief to flirt, and yet that only made it all the more appealing to her mind. Nothing wrong with a bit of honest, good-natured flirting, right? Never once did it cross her mind that perhaps he wasn't out to flirt with her; after all HOW could he not be willing to flirt with lil ol' her.
She was the prettiest thing the Savannah had to offer (modesty aside)!

Arching a brow, he glanced down at the lithe female; this was without a doubt, why he disliked females. Always so damn willing! What was wrong with her? With Anana, he'd been prone to pushing aside the fact she was female; after all, she wasn't like this. She wasn't all that willing to flirt, and acted (in his mind - not like he'd ever tell her, not in a million years) like a boy. He could put aside the fact she was a girl and plot with her, "Aye, thanks," following her train of thought, he complied and laid down beside her, his eyes glancing at the distant herds she'd been contemplating earlier, "Mmmm?"
He was brought out of his mental bubble, and blinking, he turned to face her, brows shooting up in surprise before be chuckled, "Hardly; already had my share for the day, toots," he spoke casually, looking away from her again, his tail flicking to one side as he pondered just how he was going to convince her to do (or rather, try out) what he wanted her too. In a way, he figured it wouldn't be all that difficult, what with her obvious personality and the way she carried herself, "Ain't lookin' for food. The rest is good an' all thu," he nodded his head then focused his attention on her, his head tilting in an evaluating manner.
This one, unlike Anana, was fully grown. Granted still young, but grown up; her frame was lithe, delicate, but he could see fire in her eyes. That's all he needed in order to make up his mind, "So," he started, a small smirk tugging at his maw, "Ever thought 'bout finddin' your very own prince charmin' an' all?"
Oh good God. He was nooooot good at opening lines.

Well, that was... er... mildly unexpected?
Blinking, Alcyone turned her head to watch the male, surprise written all over her features; granted, she'd been expecting him to flirt with her, however, such a direct approach as this was rather unexpected, to say the least, "What?" she couldn't help the question, her pretty little eyes widened by the shock she felt, "I..."
And her mind had stopped thinking; was he offering becoming said prince charming? As far as she was aware he didn't quite... look like a prince charming, and come to think about it, she didn't even know his name! A pause followed as the small female processed the order of events, her tail flicking erratically to show her mild distress, "What would your name be?" she had not answered his question, but rather, asked one of her own, almost as if trying to get the upper-hand on the strange situation, "My name is Alcyone," and this said, she smiled innocently, her eyes closing for effect.
Now to see if he'd follow her game.

He twitched mildly, blinking as he was thrown off by her question; she'd not answered him either. That fact was swiftly making him nervous, for he wasn't all that sure what it was she wanted, nor what it was she didn't want. It was left hanging in the air between them, and he frowned for just the barest of seconds before he caught himself, lifting a paw to cough into it, "Nukpana," he answered her, "Call me Nuka thu," he'd told Anana the same thing.
Amusing as it might've been, he hated his name, and the meaning behind it; 'Evil' was not the type of name that a mother should've ever given a cub. He knew not the reasons behind it, nor did he want to know them, however, he'd always been painfully aware of the fact he'd been brought up by his mother... and she'd had no apparent mate. In fact, not only that, but his mother had always been more than mildly bitter towards him and his siblings. They'd left her as soon as they'd been able to, "Well then," he attempted to pick up the game once more, "What'll be, a yes or a no?" he smirked again, trying to look confident, however, the slight flicking of his tail was giving him away, no doubt.
Idly, Nuka wished Anana would do the recruiting herself, because really, he wasn't the best charmer the world had to offer. Sad was the fact Uovu was probably worse; he tried not to wince as the thought crossed his mind.

An ear flicked away from him to check on the herds before her attention was focused back solely on him, "Nuka then," she smiled at him, her head lowering to bath her paw what little of her neck she could reach from her strange position; as far as she was concerned, grooming oneself was an extremely calmly experience, and if she wished to remain having the upper hand of the strange conversation, she was going to have to remain calm indeed.
After a few licks, she passed her paw over her face, a mild purring rumbling deep in her chest, "Answer is yes," she said suddenly, out of nowhere, "Thought of it before; I've just not found the right one yet," a pause as a twitch in her lips... her maw, seemed to indicate the ghost of a smirk, "Why? Are you offering yourself as candidate?" a brow arched then, her head leaning into his personal space, her nose gracing his.
Well, if this was the game he wanted to play, she was sure as hell not going to let the opportunity pass; it wasn't every day that she managed to find someone that she was attracted to.

He twitched; it was obvious, for his frame actually shook as her nose pressed against his. He had to make an obvious effort to keep himself from jerking away, snarling and trotting off into the distance, screw her! However, the fact Anana was hoping for this to turn out well enough was keeping him fueled (he made no attempt to ponder this, or figure out the reason behind it either, content to let the thought ghost around his mind for the time being). He did grimace slightly, his lips pulling back before he caught himself.
Taking a moment to slowly pull away from her, an awkward smile gracing his maw, he coughed, "Uhm, yah, well... not me, but I do know of someone," shaking off whatever had come over him, he attempted his best to keep on 'playing' without fully losing it; as it was, he already wanted to leave and run for the metaphorical hills. People wondered why he'd not taken up a mate yet? Gods, girls were so... well... there wasn't even a word in his vocabulary that could describe how he felt about them on a whole.
"He'd be rather mildly interesting, I'd bet," he smirked then, his tail curling about her form, "And best part is, he has no idea about the plot; those are always the most entertaining, hmmm? He'd be amusing to meet, at least, I bet," oh good lord, he was going to Hell. He just knew it.

This was also mildly unexpected, but interesting nevertheless.
Tilting her head, she regarded him critically, almost as if trying to asses what he was offering her; trying to see through the lie she just KNEW had to be there, "He doesn't know, you say," she pondered this for a moment, blinking idly as she raised a paw to tap her chin. The idea appealed to her; mystery and curiosity were things that mingled with ease, and as far as she was concerned, the thrill of the chase was worth it, and if anything, he was right... at least it'd be mildly interesting, "Alright," she said with a nod suddenly, her smile never leaving her maw, "I'll take the bait," she told him as her eyes hooded, her head tilting to one side as she pondered this.
After all, if she didn't particularly like the merchandise, no one side she couldn't sneer and walk away; there was no contract to sign, now was there? She had nothing to lose, and a lot to gain from this, as far as Alcyone was concerned.
This in mind, she pushed herself off the ground and to her feet, shaking the tingling feeling out of her bones and joints; aftermath of having remain laying on the ground for much too long, "Take me to him?" it was more of a demand that a request however, the purr still evident in her voice. If anything, at least it was clear the lithe female was headstrong.

Well, if anything, she had that boldness and headstrong-attitude going for her, he thought to himself. However, he did roll his eyes at her eagerness to plunge herself into the proverbial 'Wolf's mouth'. As far as he was aware, no one should be this eager to plunge themselves into the unknown, and yet she seemed rather willing, almost as if childishly expecting an adventure of some sort.
He wasn't about to disappoint her.
As she turned away from him, he couldn't help but roll his eyes, this time physically at her as he pushed himself off the floor, "Right-O, love," he said casually, "First stop, we'll go check on the dude's daughter. She can give you a few pointer, hmmm? Always a good idea to know what yer fighting," he grimaced at his choice of words, but hoped she wouldn't read too far into them, "Got a feisty one 'head o' you, yeh know?" and this said, he trotted off into the the savannah, koi-pelted cheetah following him rather willingly (ooooh... how terribly amusing this was, from an outsider's point of view, Nuka was sure of it).
