A blue moon. Odd expression really, seeing as moons happened as a matter a factly to be white, but, apparently they did come in blue too. Face lifted upwards to watch the sky and it's mysterious occupant that night, Xanthe padded through the forest. Except, there was one thing odd about it. She was walking backwards. Now, no-one exactly knew why she was doing this, she just, was. And who would be there to question her methods of transportation? Certainly not the skittish owls or chattering squirrels tucked up in their hidey-holes.
Slim brown legs that carried a young wolf seemed to dance among the bushes as they went, a bottle-brush tail sweeping gaily at the act and conducting an imaginary orchestra. Lavender eyes though, stayed peeled on the full orb that seemed to be stuck above her, surrounded by masses of twinkling sun-bugs.

The wolf was tall and lanky- much different then his normal wolf cousions who seamed to be full of meat on every bone. Though ironically he kept this look not because he was starved- frankly he ate very well for a wolf. He kept it because it made his frame look better and seamed to highlight the ashen fur that seamed to be dotted across his hyde.
He stood still only for a moment to have the moonshine glint off his own lavender eyes before he kept moving. It was his nature he gathered for why he did this- he had to keep in shape. He had to protect the ones he loved. He had pride in himself and if he had a pack he'd have pride in that and defend it to his very death. He cocked his own head inwardly not really even understanding his own nature but going with it anyway. It was natural for him, and since he was so comfortable with it he kept it as his nature. If only he could find something to protect like that. It was as if something inside was missing.
He shrugged it off though and continued to train in the moonlight. He was a warrior for his nation, for the wolves his bloodline came from. Everything had to be perfect. Everything pristine. He was Biyuren proud wolven knight.

The femme, on the other hand had no whims to serve, to protect, well, not at the moment, anyway. That was the way she worked, though. One moment she could be padding through the forest, hunting prey and the next slumped on the ground inspecting a curious herd of ants moving across her paws.
Nothing could ruin her night now....or, so she thought, the golden-furred femme tripping backwards into a bush. Surprised, Xanthe let out a soft yelp, flailing a bit on her back as she tried to regain her balance. Creme tipped ears flicked back momentarily, same colored eyebrows wrinkling as she heaved herself up and looked at the problem foliage.
"That was sure rude. First you trip me and then you don't even apologize?....I do suppose I've flattened your leaves a bit though.."

The ashen wolf was very much in his zone concentration on his mind and each muscle in his body. So badly did he need a purpose. He was so alone; not in a romantic way- but the way a life felt when you wondered why you were truely put on this earth. A deep dark feeling you knew when you had nothing to watch over. Like a mother to her pups, or an alpha to his pack. Again he went threw the motions his body acting in a regular motion. Stretching and releasing each muscle in time. This was pointless. His purple eyes gazed up at the moon. Where was somthing to protect?!
It was then he heard a feight sound from the distance. Distress? Yes that was what it sounded like to the male. Prehaps now he could prove himself- have a purpose in life. His long lanky body then streched out and in a near sprint he was bursting off to the female. He would save her. He would protect her and if she let him, he would become her gaurdian.

"Oh dear, I have seemed to ruin your leaves...Better you than me, though. I can't exactly /grow/ any limbs of mine back." A soft smile graced the femme's face, creme-tipped tail twitching with slight amusement. How silly it would be to be a plant, or, even worse, talking to one! She wasn't crazy, at least, she didn't think so. But there was always the saying that crazy people would never admit that they were crazy, she of that fact she was unsure.
Xanthe was merely a little bit lonely. Her old pack hadn't really been her cup of tea, nor was any prospect of an arranged marriage. So, she'd simply up and left. No ties with others, nothing needed to be broken. At times relationships seemed to simply muck things up for her.
Shaking her head softly at the current thoughts passing through her mind, lavender eyes flickered back to the squished bush, and with a tender paw the wolf attempted to fluff up the torn and tattered leaves a bit. "Seems I've made a bit of a mess of you, now haven't I?"

His muscles seamed to pusate back and forth as he expanded his body into a full gait. He would rescue the fem fatle he had to! It was his purpose in life to be savor of the weak and wounded. Prehaps he would have to give his life to save hers. What an honorable way to die! He thought to himself as he dodged around tree after tree.
Her sent then seamed to fill his muzzle much more brightly then it had been before. He was close! In his mind he keep wonder what excatly he was going to be fighting. He hoped it was something thrilling. If not just the adrenline rush alone would sufice the large male.
But as he neared the grounds he saw no other animal. Not a bear, not a lynx. Just a silly looking female apparently 'beating' up a bush. He cocked a brow and slowed his run into a trot as to not startle her. "Lo miss. I heard your cry for help. Are you in need of any assiatance?" He cocked his head and stood infront of her with a manly smile spread across his maw.

Even with small paws, the treatment thus far was doing nothing to help the plant, nay, it was more further hindering it's eminent re-growth. Realizing this after a couple of minutes the femme stopped, flopping back on her hinds and looking at the bush.
"Don't give me that look, you know quite well that you brought it upon yourself..." The femme scolded the bush, giving it a final flick of the leaves with her paw.
Ears flicked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, though Xanthe didn't bother to turn her head until the other called out a greeting. The sight of another brought a wag to her plume and a soft smile to her maw. Company wasn't what one would find this far out in the woods. "As much as I enjoy the heroic gesture, I am not. I simply, well-," She laughed with slight embarrassment. "-tripped over my own feet. Silly appendages they are.."

He chuckled slightly with a sigh of relief that she wasn't in any real trouble. "Ah those silly branches causing trouble once again?" He said kindly giving the bush his own flick of the paw. "Are you alright though? Your not hurt or anything?" He prehaps seamed abit pushy but this was his nature. He was a sap for the fem fatil. Expecially this one- she seamed really pretty; and to find another wolf with purple eyes...well it was just amazing to the experienced wolf.
"Your eyes are lovely- though forgive me for being overbearing. I've just never met a wolf with orbs the same hue as my own." He blinked once or twice letting the moon light stream down on himself. He then started to speak again slightly choked up on his own words. He then snickered with a slight grin as if it was nothing. "I'm Biyuren. I hail from the frozen north. And you my'dear? What name may grace your lovelyness?" Ah he was such a gentalman like always.

"Only a slight.."
Xanthe replied, slightly amused at his concern. They'd only just met, and yet he showed such thought for her well-being. Shaking her head softly she stood. "I'm fine, I'm fine. I hope I didn't cause much trouble for you, you seem like you've come quite a ways just for me." She didn't mind the pushy nature, she'd spent enough time around boisterous brothers and uncles that she was used to it, though his was much more thoughtful in approach. Annd, then I go and sound conceited... "Not to sound conceited of course, I'm sure you're just passing through or the like, yeah? I hope you weren't too disappointed with no distressed damsel."
Smiling softly the femme lifted her head, tilting it lightly so that the moonlight would catch her pupil. "Why thank you, sir. It's been a recessive trait in my family for at least three generations, though I'm told it was most often seen in the blind." Of course it was useless information, and he probably didn't want to know about it, but she still told. She told whatever was on her mind, what did her father call it? Arrogance? Well, he called it that, but there was another as well. Ah, yes. She was blunt, at times.
A chuckle accompanied his own soon afterwards. "Flattery will get you anywhere, sir Biyuren... I am called Xanthe."

His paw did a slight shuffle infront of him as if he was bowing. "Well it is my honer to meet you lady Xanthe!" He spoke with a deep brouge in his voice- he was of course russian after all. So it only seamed proper that he had an accent fitting his location. "Yes it is true that I was mearly just passing threw this location- but it was fate that I found you and came to your rescue...even if it was mearly a tree that had outgrown it's roots."
He then straightened up with a deep look in his eye as if she was his only mission in life. "Though I will swear to protect you as long as if live- if you allow me miss. I would gladly throw my life away for such lovelyness as you and your recessive purple eye'd trait. Because it is rare to find one with such beauty blossoming from all of there being." He smiled at her.
"And I hope flatery can get me everywhere Xanthe- you are MOST beautiful."

His attempted bow was enough to bring a twinkle to her eyes and a slight pride to the femme, she herself straightening up a bit. She'd never really been called a lady before, much less by a complete stranger, if not a handsome one certainly.
"Fate is a tricky thing indeed, sir Biyuren." Xanthe, despite an open mind and wits to boot, really couldn't find any better words. It was though he had, what was the term, swept her off of her feet? Yes, that seemed to be right. And his next statement was just as paralyzing.
Ears flicked up, and a surprised look passed across the femme's face. Blinking, she looked at the oddly pelted male. "Aren't you a little overzealous in your actions, sir? Pledging your soul to a wolf you've barely even met?"

"Because that is my way. In my homeland we are to protect the ones most precious to us. Whether it be by our blood lines, our pack, our country, or a lovely damsel in distress. In my homeland the males are most honered to give there lives for a nobel cause." His head was up slightly as if the motherland and there logic was one of the most sacred things he held near and dear to his heart. "And you my dear are most nobel. My homeland would be very proud to have such a lady like you grace it's gental landscapes full of snow." Again his words were boastful and full of pride as if possibly his country had prehaps brainwashed him slightly to be so loyal.
"But I choose to protect you not because of my homeland's creed." He took a long pause. "Again forgive me my lady for being quite blunt-" The red wolf drew in a long breath and drew out his last statment. "I do it because I like you."
The truth about Biyuren is he was quite frank and to the point if it was on his mind it was on his tounge. And yet he saw nothing wrong with preching his undying devotion to the golden wolfess he had just met.

Despite her for being equally as blunt at times, the golden femme couldn't find anything that she had done to amount to that. Her jaw was tight to keep it from coming agape, and turning away she was glad that one couldn't see a blush through the fur. Or at least she hoped so.
But still, it was so sudden! Her plumed tail flicked behind her, before settling to curl around her paws. Such a decision, and for probably the first time in her life, Xanthe thought things over, looked before she leaped into the handsome wolf's, paws...?
"Life...." she finally began, softly and smoothly, though underneath her voice was cracked with a bashful tone. "Life is...not like a fairytale. Well, it usually isn't, yeah? People don't just...it isn't....well, anything...." Xanthe averted her eyes from the larger male shyly, her voice caught in her throat and her brain gone fuzzy.
"Yes."

His own tail wumpfed the ground in responce at her anwser. Ah what wonderful news it was to the ashen wolf. He had a purpose in life- and to something so beautiful and so pristine as the lady before him with the lovely purple eyes. He couldn't even speak for a few seconds as the joy seamed to beam from his own orbs.
"But you can make life anything you want." He stood up with his well musculer body gleaming in the moonlight. "It's all at your pawtips." He was being truthful in his worlds. If she wanted a fairytale then she would get it. He was after all her gaurdian and in that he would do whatever she would ask of him. "Alls you have to do is ask." A small golden smile seamed to beam along with the glint that was hitting his coat. It was his promise to her to be devoted no matter how big the task- or how small, (he thought back to the poor bush that now looked like mulch resting upon the ground) he would serve her to the very end.
"I will grant your every wish." Again he was speaking more from the words that seamed to dance off his tounge then the logic that filled his brain. If she wanted the moon then by golly he'd find a rope large enough to harness it! Silly Biyuren.

Lifting purple auds to glance up at Biyuren, the femme felt her face grow warm once again. How strange, all twitter her heart. But what he promised her, she couldn't help but doubt.
Everything? That wasn't possible! Was it? A soft smile was brought upon her face, eyes twinkling momentarily with the look of a rescued princess. Everything was possible now, it had to be. Xanthe looked up at the male, nearly silhouetted in the blue moonlight.
"I...I don't know what to say." She admitted bashfully, laughing softly. And truly she didn't. Everything simply happened so fast!
