I am making a troll in Ceramics. My teacher wants me to makie it a bust so right now it's probably as big as my entire torso and wider than my shoulders. He's a massive beast. When's he's all glazed and fired, I'll post a pic.

It would have to be hollow inside...either that or you're friggin Michaelangelo...
But seriously, even if it was hollowed out, you'd still need at least two people to carry that beast. eek

He would explode is he wasn't hollow. I don't know if you guys know alot oabout Ceramics or not but...here's why he would.
Clay shrinks at least 20% in the kiln the first time it's fired if there are any pockets of air or "air bubbles" when the clay shrinks, that pocket of air is stuck so it cracks and blows up from the preasure.
^That's what happened to my Medusa head. She explodes because I didn't hollow her out enough.
My troll is hollow but he does take 2 people to move him from my shelf to the table. He's VERY heavy both of our arms are shaking as we carry him to the table. He's a big guy.

My Hollow Gravechylde My Hollow Very Much so. Also his back is higher than his head. He's an interesting figure, But he needs a name. What should we call him. I suck at making new names, I usually just look at song titles/lyrics.

There were problems today. He's all mishapen now, though my teacher says it's easily fixable. The head came sliding off, the arm wasn't working out, he was too soft in some parts and too dry in others.
But things are looking better. hough the teacher messed up his muscle tones very badly when we worked on his sholders and chest. So now I have to make them all obver again. stressed stressed stressed

All I have to do now it add muscle tones, add some armor, and then make his sign. El Fin.
