 Setsuko wandered quietly out of her den. She soon found herself in a small clearing next to a bubbling stream. She padded over to the stream then took a deep drink from it. When she finished she settled down next to it wondering if maybe another Dragonfly would come this way. It seemed like a peaceful area to get a nice refreshing drink of water.

 A young pup wandered over to the water soon enough. He looked down at the traveling water, seeing his reflection in it. His mind began to wander off into his thoughts, wondering why exactly he could see himself in the water. Maybe it wasn't him at all and some other dragonfly that had the same paws and tail that he did that looked up at him from some other deminsion. Artemas pondered many things like that, always seeking more and more knowledge.
His aqua colored eyes had not landed on the female nearby. His mind was too fixed on the own wonder he had thought of. Lappy his tongue at the cool water, the small pup took a drink of the refreshing and possibly magical liquid.

Setsuko hearing the other pup wander up turned to watch him. She pondered a moment at his actions before drinking. She didn't want to disturb him while he was drinking but she was curious as to who he was and why he looked so funny at the water. She got up then padded silently over to him and looked down into the water herself. It was just herself she saw. She whispered softly. "What were you looking at in the water??"

Artemas jumped and almost fell into the said water. He looked over at the female and smiled gently, gulping down what water that was left in his mouth. "Myself... or whatever dragonfly that was looking at me from the water," he replied and looked back to the water, locking his eyes onto the image of "himself" with such a concentrated look. "I was thinking about this new theory that just came to me you see. What if that's not really me in the water? What if it's someone else?" Artemas was ready to carry on with his questioning until he realized that he might of disturbed the female. "I'm sorry... did I disturb you or anything? I wasn't really thinking very well when I came here..."

Setsuko jumped back. "No your fine. I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." She got next to him again and looked into the water. "Wouldn't it be strange if there were others who lived on the other side of the water? Is there anybody that does not see themselves in water? And if they can not see theirselves in the water would their other half be dead or lost or something like that so that then they would only be half a Dragonfly??" She looked at him cocking her head to the side. "Do you think we could go to that side of the water??"

Artemas smiled and his tail wagged happily as he heard the other question the water too. He always liked to hear of another who might be as curious as he was. "Maybe... maybe... but we would need something," He paused an put his paw into the water. "See? I only feel water when I put my paw in, not the other pup's paw. Maybe.... maybe we need some magic! That way we could go into whatever world these dragonflies might live in."

Setsuko peered around. "Do you think we could find like those magical pixies that have that magic dust??" She peered down into the water. "I wonder if we used some of that dust and jumped in if we would go to the other world. Do you think everything would be backwards in that world?? And if we do manage to get there what happens to the other us?? Do they come here or is there just two of us in their world?" She thought even harder. "But what if we switched places and the other us took our places and would not let us return?? What if the other world is all evil?"

Artemas blinked and a smile crossed his face. "Only one way to find out. Will have to find a way in." He looked to the female. "Pixies? Have you seen them before? Do you know where they live? We could go find them and see right now if we catch some. " His eyes were wide with curiousity. "What do they look like anyway? Are they big?"

Setsuko sat down to scratch at an itch. "Ummmmm. Ohhhh that feels so good." She shook her head. "Sorry. They spose to look like little butterfly things but they are not butterflies. They has magic dust coming off them. Ohhh!!" She jumped up looking at Artemas. "By the way. Who are you?? I am Setsuko. Umm you can call me Setsu if you like." She looked down into the water. "We can try going there. But I am kinda scared. Will you keep me safe from anything bad over there??"

Artemas laughed softly. "Nice to meet you, Setsu. I'm Artemas.... I suppose you can call me Arty?" He blinked at the nickname he had given himself. It only seemed suiting to give her a choice of what to call him as well. "Erm... well I guess we could try. I'll do my best to protect you, I'll promise you that. But don't go where the big fish swim. It's too deep. I can't swim...." He frowned a bit and stared at the water. If only his parents had taught him or something...

Setsuko stared at the water. "Nice to meet you Arty. Well we gotta go to the deep end to get there thou. At least I am sure of it. Maybe we can practice swimming. I can swim. Want me to show you how??" She looked at him with a hopeful smile. "Thats only if you would like to learn. I don't wanna push anything onto you."

His aqua colored eyes brightened up in excitement. The look of an excited pup replaced his oddly, mature one that had been there before since the blue pup was strangely grown up for his age in some ways. "You know how to swim? Really? I.... I would appreciate that," He said, seeming to almost mummble the last part. He usually didn't like asking others for things since he felt like he was only burdening them.

Setsuko smiled at him. "I be glad to teach you Arty!!! Stay right here I show you how good I can swim." She hunced down playfully then took a running start and jumped into the deepest part of the creek. She sunk a bit into the water then paddled back to the surface. She paddled around in circles. "Ohhh the water is kinda chilly!! But this is fun and good excerise!! And if big baddies are after you is a good way to escape." She climbed out of the water then shook off the excess water. "Do you think I swim good enough to teach you??"

Artemas' eyes widened as he saw her jump into that water. He felt his heart almost jumped out of his chest. Relief came to him as soon as he realised... she was a pretty good swimmer. He smiled gently, trying to cover up the concern he had shown before. "Yes. I think you are.... can we start where it's not so deep first? I... I don't think I can start in the deeper part..."

Setsuko nodded her head. "Of course!! I would not make you start in the deep end silly boy." She found a nice spot that was just deep enough that you could swim in yet still be able to touch the bottom. "Over here shall be perfect." She jumped in and started paddling around in circles making sure there would be enough room. "Yes this is perfect. It has a nice size and is also just right for learning to swim." She gave him a reassuring smile waiting for him to jump right in with her.
