crying Okay we know that in order not to make the movies on the HP books too long, many concepts and themes are cut. Since they have started filming the movie for the 6th book (Half blood Prince) What do you think the producers and directors will cut out of this movie?
I don't think Slughorns party will be part of the movie, and we already know that they aren't doing a family history on Tom Riddle's mum and dad.

I hope they don't cut out too much Riddle family history...those were my favourite parts of book 6. They could cut out the part with the Bezoar, and a lot of the stuff with Romilda Vane... I can't believe they cut out Quidditch from the 5th film. That kind of ruined the film for me. If I hadn't read the books I probably would've liked the films more. My friend loves them and she hasn't even touched the books (although she owns all of them...).

Opal,
They will probably keep the extreme basics of the Riddle family, but that is pretty much it. They don't want to get too much into the history. I don't want them to cut out the Bezoar part, I love seeing Draco get his karma he deserves. Especially after what he does to Harry on the Hogwarts Express on their way to school.
I don't think there will be Quidditch in this film either. I loved the Quidditch scenes.
Just Because I say so: I agree with you they try to cut out too much of the funny stuff, so much so that I don't think my Favorites will be in the film this year. George and Fred Weasley!! They seemed to hardly be in any scenes last movie!! cry

"By the way 'Just because I say so' I hear that Fred needs a date for the Christmas event, are you game? George is already taken by moi." Princess giggles slightly at the happy thought of it.

Oh me too Aki, or they leave out what us "readers" believe to be an important part of the story line!!! I don't even think they will have "Slughorn's Party" in this coming movie. cry

Producers and Directors just tend to have this habit of rearranging events for the benefit of those who can't keep up with the story.. necessary evil but yah..
But seriously, I hate them for cutting quidditch! scream

It's a shame they cut off everything. I think it was a mistake to try to put the HP series in a movie series. First of all the books chronicle an entire school year! You can't put an entire school year in a movie that 3 hours long, especially one as fruitful as Harry's. What they should have done was made it some sort of mini series or something. That way they could have Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.....

they'll end up cutting out loads of the main bits,'cause they'll cut out one bit,and then think "oh,well that doesn't make sense without the bit we cutted out" and it'll just carry on like that happens with all films and it's really annoying,so you'll only ever get the full story if you read the book which means i'll be reading the book again,'cause i've forgotten most of it,lol

I hated how they took the best parts of the books out! It frustrated me. This next movie should be good though it was one of my favorites.

i don't see why they don't cut out bits that aren't relevant to the story a lot of the stuff that they keep in the films you don't need to know if they cut out the bits that aren't important, they could keep in more of the main events and people wouldn't be as disappointed
