The taxi door slammed shut and Isikoro adjusted himself onto his crutches. He made sure his cellphone was in his pocket before he waved the taxi away. Eiry had been the first one out of the car and he was floating near to the ground, taking a breather after having been on another car ride. Isi made a dim mental note to keep training his ward so he could at least come to stand cars. It was a hassle to beg and plead and yell at Eiry every time they had to get into an automobile. Turning away from his minty fleshed frei, Isi surveyed the address he had been told to come to. They had just been dropped off at a small little house by the northern coast beach. It was a humble little place, Isi supposed as he hobbled near and he gave the twist of his mouth. They were here to meet Dr. Tsu for a appointment long since past and he wanted to get it done as quickly as he could.
"Come on, Eiry, let's go. The quicker we get you checked out, the better my mind will rest," Isikoro said, with the roll of his shoulders.
The ghostly frei, pushed himself up from the ground and resumed his normal floating height. The feeling of knotted and curled worry had undone itself and Eiry shook the thought of growling motors and whizzing scenery from his mind. He lifted up a sleeve and wiped at his mouth before he floated half-heartedly to Isi's side and drifted his way to the door of the home. With a mischievous grin that completely wiped away his previous concern for riding in a machine, Eiry made a motion to knock at the door, but ended up just going through it.
"Eiry don't do that!" Isi commanded sternly as he made his way to the door. He was about to snatch his impish raevan back from the door when Eiry simply pushed his way all the way through. "Eiry, get back here!"
With a bright ear to ear smile, Eiry slowly wandered through the opening hallway, intangible still and ghostly pale, "Helllooooo?" he called out softly, as eerily as a creaking floorboard and as soft as a draft.

"Helllooooo?"
It was just like a whisper, but there was still an icy edge to it somehow. Despite the warm winds that the beach and the sunlight usually bring, Zave couldn't help but shiver just a little deep down.
"Hey, Tsu...?" Zave turned to his guardian/the head doctor that looked to be flipping through a new file "Did you just hear something...? Like a voice?"
"Hmmm...? I didn't hear anything..." Tsu said continuing to look down at the files. "It's odd that Isi and his raevan Eiry aren't here yet though... Maybe they got a little tied up...? That aside, you've been jumpy ever since Kyou and I had to step out the other night. Did something happen?"
"I could have sworn I heard something. The wind doesn't lie to me usually." Zave murmured. I'll just go and check it out myself. Zave couldn't bring himself to talk about the horror movie that he watched with Kai, Kaze and Laz.
Floating down the hall Zave looked around, "Hello? Is anyone there?" From the way that his ears were pounding at this point, it's not like he could really hear a proper response.

Nice house, Eiry thought to himself. The compliment wasn't meant to be a compliment since Eiry was one who liked eerie old homes that sat in thought in the dark, not cozy little warm shacks by the tranquil sea. Sure he liked the sea from the last time they came to visit, but it wasn't something that he really liked. One could only take so much of itchy sand and salty water.
"Hello? Is anyone there?"
Floating through the walls, Eiry twisted his head around every corner. He had heard some voices from the belly of the house. With a grin, he hunted after his prey, fluttering like a drape through the walls around him. When he spotted the blue floating figure, Eiry couldn't help but giggle to himself. It was a ghastly giggle, but Eiry didn't have any control of that. As soon as he realized he had laughed, Eiry slunk back into another wall. He waited for the other to pass by him, before he leapt again out of the wall.
"Watch out!" he screeched.
Isi, on the other hand, was still locked outside of the house and now he banging at the door. Frustration was brewing all the way up to his ears now and he couldn't help but imagine what terrible mischief was going on inside the small home.

"Watch out!"
That time Tsu did hear something. The unmistakable voice of Zave's shout of surprise and terror mixing in with the unearthly hoarse screech from something else. As he poked his head out of the office and into the dark hall... Tsu could barely make out two floating figures. One was Zave and the other... he didn't know, but assumed to be the one that was due for a check up. However he couldn't make out any more information... especially the location of said owner that had promised to attend with said raevan.
"Don't. EVER. do. that. again." Zave had managed to say quite clearly through a pair of clenched teeth. However, the hairs on the back of his neck were bristling from a mixture of fear and rage. His eyes looked like he could strike at the raevan at any moment.
Having one of his rare common sense moves, Tsu decided to step in at this moment. "I take it this is our patient for the day? Quite the prankster, I see. I do ask you keep that to a minimum for right now, as I have a lot of breakable things and don't know how Zavier will react to things he does not care for."
Turning to his raevan and barely dodging a less needed beaker, he spoke again. "I don't see the owner around here... could you do me a favor and go to make sure the door isn't stuck locked again? It makes it hard for business when no one can come in or out... at least through normal means." He mentally made a note to ask Zave what he watched last night that got him so jumpy.
Grumbling, Zave made his way towards the front door, switched the latch and opened the door to a young gentlemen that seemed as perturbed as he was. Flatly he said "Your charge has already arrived." and adding politely, "Won't you please join us?" He froze there awkwardly waiting for the response... torn between showing the guest in properly and just making a b line for the nearest spot to relax away from the younger raevan.
Still... he wanted a weak point... which meant staying close to Tsu and observing. Sighing inwardly, he politely started to lead the guest without a second moment to waste. "This way."

The reaction he got from the other raevan was positively delightful! Quite pleased with himself, Eiry gave a ghastly giggle of glee. He had heard the warning from the other raevan, but Eiry honestly didn't care much for warnings since he got them all the time from his family members at home. Isi would berate him, Riv would ignore him for some time, and Aphi would simply sigh and give him a stern lecture. He had never really gotten punished before, so the threat really didn't have any effect.
Besides, people had to loosen up and learn how to take jokes every once in a while.
Turning to the new comer, a man dressed with a white coat asked him to keep it to a minimum. Well, he did have his fill for now, so the least he could do was what he was told.
"Yes, of course, Sir," Eiry responded, his mouth stretched into a cheshire cat grin. He wrapped his arms behind him and he innocently followed after Zave.
Isi, as soon as the door opened, tried to put on a polite face, but it quickly faded away as soon as he caught sight of his mischievous raevan floating behind the blue raevan. He wasn't expecting to be greeted by Zave, so he had to pass through momentary shock before he scowled, "Eirdirsceol! I told you to stay by me and not pull any of your pranks, alright?! This is stern business, so chin up!"
"Yes, Isi," came Eiry's innocent reply. Without waiting for his guardian, Eiry turned about and sought out the doctor.
Turning back to Zave, the crippled boy nodded and he came within the small hut, making sure his crutches didn't catch on the doorstep. "Yes, thank you kindly," the boy responded. He screwed his mouth into an apologetic frown and stated, "I'm sorry for Eiry's rash behavior, I'll make sure he gets what's coming to him when we get back home."

Why wait until you get home...? Zave thought darkly, but didn't let his smile betray his private thoughts. After all... he was the one that watched the horror movie with the rest of the group. So it was his own fault for being jumpy. It didn't really help though with a ghost-like raevan pulling pranks or the white walls that reminded Zave of the room from Saw.
Once Isi, Zave, and Eiry all arrived in the check up room, Tsu began the explanation of what's going on. "This should be nothing more than a routine check up to see how they are acting, make sure there are no developments that need to be addressed and what not. Feel free to ask questions if you have any."
As he finished, he pulled out his tray of usual tools. Stethoscope, thermometer, rubber mallet, tongue depressors, and arm cuff. Zave looked over the tools half heartedly, when he remembered something good.
"Do you think he might need a shot, just in case Tsu?" Zave inquired, masking his intention with a slightly worried look.
"I'd have to check first, but yes... that might be in order." Tsu said. He had never seen his own charge so interested in the health of another raevan. It was a little curious.
Sensing that Tsu noticed something odd he floated over to the other raevan and apologized. "Sorry I snapped like that. Just have been jumpy lately. You really got me back there."
Turning slightly to look at the young owner Tsu started the exam. "First question. Have you ever found a need to discipline your charge?"

Squeezing his crutches closer to his chest as he passed through the cramped hallways into the main white room, Isi peered around the new domain. So it was definitely more relaxed a place than a regular doctor's office...Which made Isi a little more comfortable. But it didn't provide much since Isi had a terrible history of loathing for hospitals and the like. He tried to give his best smile for the doctor, but he knew that it didn't do any sort of justice.
"Well," giving a meaningful look to his ward for was floating innocently near to Zave, "He does have a habit of pulling pranks, as you can see. But other than that, he's been fine."
Unfortunately, Eiry wasn't paying attention to Isi's pointed look. Turning his red eyes to Zave, Eiry pulled the biggest smile he could possibly grin over his grey cheeks. He had heard the comment about the needle and there was a moment where Eiry felt the anxiousness that he had felt before when Dr. K had visited their house. This time his brother wasn't here to comfort him and Eiry felt nervous. But now that Zave had started speaking to him, Eiry's attention was quickly scattered and refocused onto the blue raevan.
"I couldn't resist!" the minty raevan giggled softly. Looking at the other raevan, Eiry felt his chest swell up with respect, as if he were talking with someone important. His red eyes were wide with wonder and glee. He ducked his head to the side as he was talking to him as if inspecting him like a child would inspect a statue, "Heart-promise, I won't do it again. It was good, though, your reaction. I read that it was good to have your heart jump at least three times per day. It said so in the magazine. True-speak, you are older than me, yes?"

"Hmmmm...." Tsu said thoughtfully. Pranks weren't really anything bad... as long as the person on the receiving end didn't mind. "Do you remember when he started being aware of his abilities?" Tsu was particularly interested in this one. Many of the raevans grew at different rates, but it seemed that other ones were developing faster than the others.
The stethoscope was still a little cool to the touch as Tsu placed the piece onto Eiry's chest. He wasn't sure if he'd hear anything, but it never hurt to check. The raevans were humanoid in many aspects, minus the whole living fine missing a lower half of the body.
Zave had noticed the brief moment where Eiry had tensed at mention of needles. So he did have some weaknesses... it was best to keep these in mind for future reference. It was odd... but Zave really just felt himself wanting to be able to play a couple jokes and tricks on Eiry in return. It wasn't like he hated the other raevan... what was this feeling?
Zave chuckled half-heartedly about hearing how he had lost his moment of cool. "You really did get me. I swore my heart was going to jump right out of my throat. Where did you read about needing your heart to jump before? That sounds interesting actually." Soon Zave found himself a little more at ease around the minty raevan. Sure there were some parts that creeped him out, but wasn't Rivener the same way the first time they met?
Zave had the chance to read the medical files on most of the raevans before they ever came in for check ups. "Yeah... I guess I am a bit older that you... but not by much."[/c] Zave said with a kind smile spreading to his face. "Why do you ask?"

Isi pursed his lips into a tight frown. He honestly, didn't know. Although he kept a calender to monitor his raevan's growth, he never really pinpointed where he began using his powers. The more he thought back on it, the more Isi realized that he had probably started being aware of his abilities somewhere in between his birth and the time that Isi had been in the hospital. When they first met Eiry, he was already floating through walls.
"He's always known how to become intangible," Isi responded thoughtfully. He flexed his grip on his crutches and watched as Dr. Tsu advanced on Eiry. "I was in the hospital and recovering for some weeks after he was born. He's spoken with ghosts and he seems to draw them out. Other than that, nothing else. Say...Dr. Tsu? Eiry actually had his wing...whatever it is...broken."
When the cold stethoscope touched his body, Eiry instinctively became as tangible as the wind. It was so cold! He flinched away and gave a started giggle, but he didn't become solid again.
"I read it in magazine when I was in the Lab, and The White Man wasn't there," Eiry confessed to the other raevan as he tried to deftly duck out of Tsu's reach, "I ask because I have an older brother! Have you met him? His name is Rivener. My big brother is awesome!"

Tsu cursed softly as Isi became intangible at the feel of the cold stethoscope. So the raevan was also sensitive to that touch. Warming up the other metal instruments to room temperature... Tsu tried to show the other is was alright.
"I'll be sure to take a look at that as soon as he settles down again." Tsu said with a slightly strained patience at the dodging raevan. "However, it will probably take a while if he continues to play the dodging game with me."
Nothing was going to work with forcing the raevan into a situation he didn't want... so it was going to be the waiting game. Meanwhile he decided to take some notes in the file about the raevans' power. Zave on the other hand was trying to take an active hand in calming down the younger raevan.
"The white man? Who's that?" Zave asked, hoping that the distraction method would be enough to get the other one to stop moving and focus again on solidifying. However, he was finding it hard once the other had mentioned something interesting.
"Rivener is your big brother?" Zave pressed a little more, trying to show how excited he was to find out of this new relation. "He actually came here for a check up before. We've been friends and even built a sand castle near here." He explained to Eiry. "What kinds of things do you do together? What are your hobbies?" Suddenly the fact that he was supposed to be holding a grudge against the other raevan was melting away quickly. Sometimes Zave's will and determination was just like a snowball. A snowball trying to stand up to a blazing inferno.

The minty raevan gave a ghastly chuckle of amusement, one that even made Isi shudder despite the fact that he should be getting used to it. His mouth pulled into a brightly amused smile as he saw the doctor failing miserably to put the stethoscope against his chest. Eiry ducked the man's probing hands a couple times before he simply passed through the doctor himself and reemerged on the other side of him, laughing louder.
Waltzing away from Dr. Tsu's reach, Eiry glided behind Zave and responded lightly, "The White Man? He's the one with horns, hair black like spiders and a coat of white. Like this man's," Eiry gestured to the doctor as he finally gave up and started taking notes instead. "White, white, white. Like bone, it is. He was the first one, he and Lazarus, when I was scared of the monsters, first one to my eyes to see."
"Eirdirsceol!" Isi snarled, slamming one of his crutches into the ground to get the frei's attention. Luckily for him, the minty ball of spunk turned towards him and gave him a very convincing grin. "Stop moving! Stay still and let the doctor see what's wrong with you!"
"There's something wrong with me?" asked Eiry, lifting a brow.
Isi frowned and crossed his arms over his chest, "There might be, now settle down!"
At the mention of his big brother, Eiry's face brightened with excitement and his little half of a chest swelled up with pride. At this point, he finally became tangible again and he threw his arms up into the air, "Rivener!" he exploded happily, "You know my brother, you do! Riv and I paint, we go on adventures in the marsh, but we don't do that anymore since Edgar was a very bad ghost. He hurt us, so we're not allowed to go there anymore. I play tricks on Riv and I read stories to him from Mister Poe! And we play games like hide and seek and everything!"
Eiry prattled on excitedly, trying to demonstrate the activities he spoke of with his arms and hands.

Tsu used the brief opening to move quickly, checking heart beat and examining the wing that was broken. "Hmmm... it looks like this wing is in severe condition. There are chances that he'll never have full capability with it any more. You said it happened while you were in the hospital?" Tsu looked a little concerned. If someone had maybe tried to set it earlier at least, it would have been effective. "I'd suggest waiting it out. Maybe it's just developing a little slower than the other. Unless... he can tell you something about what might have happened?" Tsu looked pointedly between the two.
Once again Zave found himself trying to dodge arms as the other raevan excitedly explained about the adventures his brother and went on with him. He was really at a loss of what to say to the young raevan while he was speeding through the words. At parts it just washed over him. "I didn't know Rivener painted." he said honestly, "I just built a sand castle with him one summer.".
Finally it got to him, "Who's Mister Poe? You mean Edgar Allen Poe?" Somehow this kid was into a lot of things that Zave was weak to. "and who's Edgar? marsh?"

"Yes, yes!" Eiry beamed brightly, glad that Zave knew the person of which he spoke. "Mister Edgar Allen Poe. he's my favorite author to read. Oh, and Edgar? He's a nasty ghost in the marsh of my home where all the other ghosts . He doesn't like anybody, really. He hurt me once, that's why my wing was hurt."
"Never have full capability with it?" Isi echoed, his heart sinking with a heavy thud to the depths of his chest. He could feel his face fall into a frown at the mention of the news. This was terrible! Never have full capability with it? Did that mean that Eiry would have trouble flying with it? A deep guilt welled up in Isi's abdomen. If only he had been quicker, perhaps he could've spared his frei from gettinng hurt. It was because of his legs that he wasn't able to...Isi swallowed a hard lump of saliva and shifted awkwardly on his crutches as he watched Tsu handle his raevan's wing, "No, no, not when I was at the hospital. He was born when I was at the hospital and he was left for a couple of weeks at the lab. When he got hurt, I was at home at the time...It was a terrible ghost that did it to him. Edgar broke his wing and I didn't come in time to stop Eiry from getting hurt. I called the Lab as soon as it happened, but we never had the appointment until now."
"One doctor looked at it," Eiry pointed out suddenly, remembering the time that he and his brother had called upon Dr.K. He couldn't remember how long it had been after the initial breaking of his wing, but it had been reset that day as best as it could be done.
Isi snapped his head towards his minty frei, brows raised in surprise, "Doctor? What doctor?"
Eirdirsceol shrugged his shoulders weakly, as if it were no big deal. It honestly wasn't to him. He didn't know that lying was bad. He continued his story, his back bent as the doctor behind him prodded his ethereal wings, which were hard to grasp in the first place. Surrounding the wings was an ethereal flame that hid what actually lay underneath. So the wings were like an illusion to catch and handle. "A doctor came over to our house," Eiry said with a nod, "Dr.K. He put my wing back into place. It hurt a lot, you know!"
With the quick swing of his crutch, Isi moved himself closer to his ward, his brows set heavy over his hardened grey eyes, "Why didn't you ever tell me this, Eirdirsceol? I need to know about these things! You have to let me know everything about and around you, understand?"
Unsure of what had his guardian on the edge, Eiry titled his head in wonder at Isi's increasingly reddening face, "I didn't think of it...It was over with and then it was done."
"That is also called 'lying', Eiry," Isi hissed, furrowing his brows deeper. By this time he had even raised up a finger and shook it threateningly at Eiry, who backed away and into Dr. Tsu's chest. "Things like that are very important and you can't just let yourself forget about it. You have to tell me next time and keep no lies. Understand me?"
Eiry, not almost pressed against Tsu, nodded his head and gulped. He hated it when he got on his guardian's bad side, but it almost seemed unavoidable to get into trouble with Isi. Everything he did always seemed to be the wrong thing. Hanging his head, Eiry floated away a bit from Tsu to give him his space to work.
Isi stepped back and leaned against the wall, clutching onto his crutch. His heart and chest heavy. He looked back up at Tsu, his eyes hoping, "Dr. Tsu, will Eiry's wing be alright?"

Tsu felt rather bad about being the cause of conflict between owner and their raevan. it was always awkward watching others in the middle of a fight after all, because what do you say then? "Good job there, doc" Zave prodded at Tsu sarcastically before trying to calm the other frei down and getting him to try and focus. "Do you remember exactly how Edgar the ghost hurt you?"
Looking at Isi, Tsu tried his best to find his reassuring voice and smile for the rather frantic man. "I guess I can't say for certain about the situation of things looking at it alone. However, if he was able to get a doctor to set the wing, then it should be fine over time." Tsu said "If it helps ease your mind though, I could provide a small herbal rub to apply on the wing. You've heard of Yggdrasil before, yes? Well I managed to procure some berries and that might work well with the healing process... but I'm sure the effects vary. It is an experimental drug after all." The doctor looked between Eirdirsceol and Isi for an answer from the two of them.
Zave sighed slightly at the heavy words Tsu was placing in front of the younger owner and his charge. "What ever happened to the tact that you always told me to maintain?!" Zave shot at Tsu. Tsu flushed a bit and apologized to Isi "Your raevan does seem to be handling things well... I'm sure with a little time and care, he'll be back to his prank playing self in no time flat... erm... by that I mean his wing will show no signs of damage."
