So, my brother rang to tell us he'll be in New Zealand for what would seem, the rest of his life - He's now got a permanent Visa out there.

Kinda upsetting, but i'm not sure whether I should be happy for him - Or pissed off cos he's living so ******** far away.

I've only spoken to him like..Once over the past two years - Just as not to upset myself.
Ergh.

I'm sorry to hear that. You'll get to go see him though right? It's not as if he's left and cut you out of his life.

The issue is - He is cutting us out.

Or atleast It would seem - And I don't wanna travel to New Zealand to see him for a week - Don't get me wrong, he's my Brother and I love him.
But we have to draw the line.
I say, if he wants to see us, he can see us. Cos i'm sure as hell not making the effort to see him - After he legged it off, with some horrible bimbo - Who shortly after him getting there, dumped him in the middle of nowhere, after taking his money.

Well just moving to another country doesn't mean cutting all ties with your family. That's what all this modern technology is for. It sucks that he moved to be with someone and they left him, but people make mistakes like that. It's pretty much part of being human. At least he moved on instead of coming home a broken person.
Don't get me wrong, I don't know the whole story, but from what I've read here it sounds like you're the one cutting him out of your life.

Gah D: im sure he will come and visit - and that sounds familiar about the money thing thats all brothers seem to do - ask for money and be nice when they want money :/ and you should feel both pissed off and happy - i mean you will miss him and it is rather selfish of him to like suddenly announce that - but it may not be final.

new zealand is a waaaay away D: so going over there for a week wouldnt be good but maybe a month or something <3 i hope he comes over soon - though i can imagine its very expensive to travel there and back also D:

it would be cheaper for him to come to you and such ratehr than you and your family going over there.

Do you know why he wants to live there? Does he have a driving passion or love of something in the area? I hear the scenary is really nice there, so perhaps he just fell in love with it.

Maybe you could feel better about the entire situation if you could find out why it is he choose that, or perhaps just tell him how you feel about his actions . .
