Vinya'nyota walked with a smile on her face as she headed back to the Nchi'mahadhi lands. Although she hadn't managed to recruit any new members, or find her Rhythm, she was just pleased to be heading home.

She wasn't that far now, probably another day's walk if she kept on walking at her current pace. She was looking forward to seeing Nsundu again, much more than she thought she would, having never had a proper friend other than her sister Zagaa. With all this in mind, she couldn't help but walk with a spring in her step.

Unlike Vinya'nyota, Kisura had no permanant home. She would often go on long trips to nowhere in particular, only stopping to enjoy the company of male wild dogs. She didn't like lions very much at all, and tended to avoid them at all costs. Unfortunatly, that wouldn't be possible today.

As she walked along, she would often look left and right, scanning the surrounding area for others. It was during one of these routine checks that she spotted a pale figure in the distance. Judging by the size of it, it wasn't a wild dog. She couldn't see a mane though, so perhaps it was just some other big cat? Somewhat curious, she turned slightly to intercept the pale figure.

Vinya'nyota was pretty much in her own little world until something bright caught her eye just ahead of her. She figured out what the creature was quite quickly, and rolled her eyes. It turned out that Vinya'nyota wasn't all that fond of wild dogs. Seeing that the wild dog had turn to meet her up ahead though, she decided to just keep going.

When she reached the wild dog, who turned out to be female, she gave a brief nod of greeting. "Hey." She said, in the most civil tone she could manage. Whilst she waited for a reply, she glanced over the female's coat. She certainly was bright.

When Kisura realised that it was a lioness who was approaching, she frowned slightly. If she had known that it was a lioness who was close by, she would've turned and walked in the opposite direction. Ah well, there was very little she could do now, so she forced a smile and kept going.

"Hi there." She replied, although her tone of voice did little to hide her discontent. One thing she could do though was appreciate the lioness' coat. It was white just like hers, although it lacked the beautiful ornate patterns that ran up her own legs.

Vinya'nyota could tell almost instantly that the wild dog wasn't best pleased, and neither was she. She could've avoided this meeting, but she had chosen not to. Idiot.

Not knowing how best to go on, the lioness just stared at the wild dog. As well as her brightly-coloured legs, she was wearing flowers that matched them. It was all a bit OTT for Vinya'nyota's liking, but she didn't want to seem completely rude and unpleasant, so she made nothing of it.

"My name's Vinya'nyota." She said finally, although she had no idea about what she was going to say after that.

"Nice name." She replied, bearly batting an eyelid. "I'm Kisura." For a lioness, Vinya'nyota didn't seem all that bad, although it was clear that she wasn't happy. Kisura tilted her head a little whilst she thought about what she could say next. Her mind had suddenly gone quite blank.

"Umm...so." She started, her eyes not leaving the lioness, just incase her mood shifted. "What are you doing all the way out here? As far as I know, these lands are left wanting when it comes to food sources." As soon as she finished saying that, Kisura regreted it, as talking about a lack of prey to an adult lioness didn't seem very smart.

"I could ask you the same question." Vinya'nyota answered back, smirking a little as she did so. "Just kidding. I'm actually on my way back to my Pride lands. They're about a day's walk from here." Saying that, she motioned in the direction of the Nchi'mahadhi lands.

When she turned back to Kisura, Vinya'nyota let out a loud yawn. Despite the fact that she was eager to get back to the Nchi'mahadhi lands, she would probably end up having to rest at some point. Her paws were aching a lot, and she should rest up before making the final walk for home. She would have to wait and see how far she got today though.

Kisura frowned at the lioness' so-called joke, blaming it squarely on the ignorance that she believed all lions possessed. She shrugged it off quickly though, wanting to prove that she was indeed more civil than any lion or lioness. When Vinya'nyota yawned and didn't even bother to mask it, that was all the proof she needed.

"Ugh, you lions can be so disgusting." She muttered, without even considering the concequences. After all, she was a pretty fast runner.

Vinya'nyota rolled her eyes. "As if you haven't yawned before." She snickered, noticing that the wild dog seemed genuinely disgusted by her yawning. "When you're tired, you yawn. It's one of those natural things that can't really be helped."

After saying that, Vinya'nyota flopped into a sitting position. If she was going to spend all day stating the facts of life to Kisura, she may as well get comfortable. Once she was comfortable, she let out another yawn. "Seriously, you need to get over yourself."

Kisura sarcastically mimiced the lioness by rolling her eyes, and then letting out a mock snicker. "Real ladies cover their mouth when they yawn. Observe." With that, Kisura pretended to yawn, and then lifted a paw to cover her mouth. "See? A bit of class wouldn't kill you."

When Vinya'nyota yawned again, Kisura growled, wanting to teach the lioness a thing or two about good manners. Unfortunatly, she was too fond of herself and her appearence to attempt such a lesson.

"I should've known better than to think that any lion would know good manners. I bet you don't even know what manners are."

Vinya'nyota barely even payed attention as Kisura went on with herself, having decided to block her out and focus on the rest of the journey home. In the time she had spent with this stupid wild dog, she could've been making good time. Now she was most likely behind schedule, and would have to look for a place to sleep soon before continuing.

"Thanks a lot." She frowned, before getting back to her feet. "I'm bored now, so I'm just gonna leave you here to go on about manners." She sneered. "Have a nice day now." With that, Vinya'nyota started walking back in the direction of the Nchi'mahadhi lands.

Kisura scowled at the lioness when she realised that she wasn't even listening. "Hellooo?" She snapped, trying to get Vinya'nyota's attention. When the lioness finally spoke up, the wild dog just stared in disbelief. How rude could one lioness get?

"Well excuse me for trying to teach you a bit of decency, you ignorant beast!" Since the lioness was a fair distance away by the time she shouted that, Kisura felt safe enough to turn and go in the opposite direction. She hated lions more than ever now.
