-- RP between Anana and Nukpana (Felyn & DFA) It was mildly embarrasing. At best. But there was nothing he could do; he'd tugged and pulled. He'd pushed and growled, and yet nothing he did seemed to work out; his head was still firmly stuck within the hole of the random log he'd stuck it in. The fact he'd gotten carried away while chasing a hare was even more embarrasing; the animal had dived for cover within and Nuka's head had... well, followed, really. So thus the mildly scruffy cheetah was quite a sight to behold; the long spikey mane that travelled down his neck and back on edge as he pressed his paws against the log and pulled again, only managing to make the bark bite slightly into his flesh. Defeated, the male slumped and cursed whatever gods made it a dayly chore to make his life increadibly humiliating. It wasn't every day that Ana found something to amuse herself, especially with how often she had to chase down her father. No, most days were spent with her half-sleeping or, lately, teasing him with her rather cleverly crafted new idea. It definitely came as a surprise when she saw a rather lanky form stuck inside an old log. For a moment, it caused Ana to stop, head tilted in amazement at how exactly he could manage to do such a thing. Then of course, it hit her - he was male. She sighed, though her eyes danced with a mirth usually only reserved for the conspiracies she enacted against her father, and began to walk closer. With a rather elegant leap, she landed on the top of the log, right next to where the male's head went into the hole. "Well, you've gotten yourself into a fine predicament, haven't you?" Oh, he couldn't see it, but that smirk of hers was already spreading over her maw. Seems like her father wasn't the only one that liked games sometimes.Ohhhh, Nuka had never wished he could bring his nose against someone else's more strongly than he did now; he wished his head was free so he could snarl into her obnoxious little face (because yes, the voice did in fact, indicate she was a female), "Sod off!" he snarled as he tugged at his head again, shoving his frmae firmly against the log in an attempt to toss her off it in turn, "None of your bloody bussiness, ain't it?! So sod the ********' hell off!" the voice was rough, mixed with a growl that seemed to indicate just how socialy inept the male in question was; in fact the whole of him seemed to give a clear 'don't bother me' air. Not like she'd follow such a simple instruction however; Nuka had met few before, and all of them had done exactly the oposite of what he'd asked at the time. It was rather incrediable how everyone just MANAGED to do that, "Bloody hell!" he was no longer talking to her, but cursing due to the fact the last tug had brought the bark even tighter against his neck, making it obvious that one more move against it would pierce his skin. Slumping methodicaly against the wood, he did the next best thing that came to mind; he seethed."Sod off?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, despite the fact that she was fully aware that he couldn't see it. Her eyes widened (it was perfectly acceptable to show her emtions when he obviously couldn't see her) as he threw his form against the log, trying to knock her off. With a grit of her teeth, she sunk all four claws into the wood, little lithe frame swaying until the slight rocking halted. She 'tsked' softly under her breath, settling back down again and narrowing her eyes on the male that couldn't see her, "well, if I sod off, who in the world is going to help you get your big noggin' out of that hole?" She smirked, pushing herself to her feet, and began to make a rather slinky saunter down the length of the log, then back up again. Oh, he might not be able to see her, but he could feel her feet - she was free, he was not, and she knew that had to drive him at least a little crazy. "Assuming, of course, that you don't want to spend the rest of your life like that.""Not you, most likely!" he snarled back at her, however, this time he remain still (albeit still seething quite tremendously), in an effort to keep the bark from wounding his neck, "Taking into account you're doing little helping and a lot of annoying!" fact was, Nuka wasn't the most social of creatures. That coupled with the fact he felt trapped (with reason too), and quite vulnerable were not helping the situation. Usualy, he was a bit more open towards others, and did manage to refrain from cursing as colorfuly as he was, however... had anyone else been in his situation, the male was quite sure they'd be cursing too; the bloody wood was hurting him, for god's sake! He could hear her-feel her padding up and down the log, as if she owned it, and the sound was, quite frankly, driving him up the bloody, proverbial wall, "Would you knock it OFF already?! Giving me a bloody migraine!" he was still slumped against the bark, but had she been able to peek inside the log, she'd have seen his head, a grimace written over his features as he eyed the 'ceiling' of his current prison, "Well then, get to helpin', or get to leavin' me the ******** alone!" there was no bite in his last few words, merely something akin defeat; his long tail had flopped noisily on the ground as a sign of it too, to boot. He'd done it unconsiously, alas, it was there for her to see.She shook her head slowly as he yelled at her, not offended in any way really, but certainly wishing his language was a little less.. decorative. "You'd be surprised at how well I am at taking care of sticky situations," she muttered dryly, finally being compliant and stopping her little bit of strutting. Sure, he couldn' tknow that she had a sociopathic killer as a father - but he should have a little more faith in others, in her opinion. "Besides, if I didn't help you, it could be hours, or even days, before someone else found you stuck like this, and what would you do if they were more interested in hurting you than helping, hm?" She shook her head, leaning closer to examine what she was working with. Her teeth gritted as she saw just how close his flesh was to the whole and just how much pressure it was going to take before he was actually hurt. "Alright, since you asked so kindly, I think I'll help you," she said calmly, leaning back with a rather scrunched look on her face, trying to decide the best way to get him out, "but on one condition - you help me with something I need once you're out."

He'd stopped talking then, his eye twitching slightly in the darkness of his prison; he'd allowed his head to rest softly against the bark, his frame still seething, thought now only mildly as he waited. Rolling his eyes he allowed a soft breath out of his nose and maw, "Kay, what's the catch?" he couldn't help it; he knew how the world worked, and tell truth, never once had anyone at all offered him so much as a 'good morning' without asking for something in return. Why should this be any diferent, "What's in it for you? What the hell do you want?" he'd been asked those same words not even a day ago, by a random lioness he'd met; he still recalled his own words 'Nothing really. S'not so much what I want, as what I'm lookin' for' How ironic.
No sooner had the words left his maw, that she answered, and the male allowed a frustrated noise roll off his body, "Arrrrg!" he snarled, choosing to (quite wisely at that) not move an inch, for he'd noticed just how near he was to wounding himself, "Forget it, Toots!" despite the fact he'd just used a pet name, it was used rather despectively, for some reason, "Dun need yer help; I'll find my own way out!" and this done, he leaned his head awkwardly back in an attempt to look.... at something in the darkness. Anything that would get him out. Meanwhile, his clawed paws had begun to scratch at the bark; the movement was obviously rather futile, "Ain't helpin' you!"
She hissed as that word came out of this lips, eyes narrowing on a form that couldn't even see the fire dancing in her eyes. "Don't call me that," she said darkly, rather unpleased that he would even have the gaul to say something, let alone in a disrespectful manner, and especially when he was the one at such a horrible disadvantage at the moment. Her teeth gritted, and she stood once more, placing her paw very close to the edge of the hole and putting a slight touch of weight upon it. It wasn't enough to wound him any further, but it was enough to show him that she could do it if she wanted to without him being able to stop her. She was grimacing, however, as she began the bluff - she would never do it, it would be far too similar to something her father would do, but thanks to him she had the creativity to think of it and the performance skills to make it seem like she had the gaul to. "You should remember, you poor unfortunate fellow, that you are at quite the disadvantage here and I can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on your decision." Oh, but wouldn't her father be proud of her? Silently, she thanked him for the idea, even if she wasn't cruel-hearted enough to actually hurt the male. As long as he didn't call her bluff, it would be alright. Being the amazing actress she was, she doubted he would anyway. "So, again, I say to you - I'll help you out, but only if you help me in return."
"Callin' you whatever the hell I want; I don't recall you giving me a name, do I?" he sneered within the log, twitching slight, his teth gritted together, lips raised in a silent snarl. It was obvious Anana had just come across someone as headstrong as she and her father; it was hard to tell whom was worse. Either way, this male was sure to give her father a run for his money where sheer pigheadedness was concerned. As soon as she pressed at the bark however, instead of remaining still, the male lashed out violently; his frame rocked against the bark, something between a roar and a snarl released from within, marred by pain at the bark dug into his flesh, "Get AWAY from me, girl! NO DEAL! Ain't doing s**t for you! BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!" he'd moved so much that there now was a wound on his neck, leaking blood; marring with a red tingue the blue of his coat. It didn't seem like it was the pain that scared him, but rather, being at someone else's mercy, "Sod OFF!" he repeated, "If you're not gonna help, leave me alone!" seething further than before, the male now that he'd been wounded, stopped moving alltogether, slumping on the ground somewhat, his claws digging into the earth, "The hell's unfortunate; me or YOU who needs MY help for whatever the ******** it is you need it, girl? Don't give a damn; if you're going to do..." indeed; he hadn't seen past her bluff, hence the horribly violent reaction she'd gotten from him. Now however, he was regreting doing that; the pain was lashing through his frame, and it wasn't getting any better, for he was still stuck. For the first time in a long time, Nuka blinked, a tear rolled down his cheek, unseen, silent and safe from prying eyes.
She frowned slightly as he rocked the log so hard, leaping carefully off instead of choosing to be tossed around this time. Her teeth gritted, spying the welling spots of blood tinging his paler coat, for a moment regretting pushing him that far. Unlike her father, causing physical pain to others made her feel guilty, even if she hadn't directly done it. If he hadn't lashed out, he wouldn't have done it to himself, but at the same time, if she hadn't been pushing his limits then he wouldn't have done it in the first place. However, realizing that this was perhaps her only chance to get help from someone with her problem, she began to turn away. "See, the problem for you is that I can find someone to help me with what I need - you, on the other hand, may not find anyone for a very long time." She shook her head, although he couldn't see it, and gave her tail a small flicker. "Well, I suppose I should be heading back home, it is starting to get dark out and I don't want to be stuck out in the middle of the night," she smirked, turning away, and beginning to trod off slowly. "Good luck," she called, once she was a good enough distance away to make it painfully obvious that she actually was leaving.
He remain silent, gritting and rubbing his teeth together, making the most awkward of sounds for a long time. It wasn't till she spoke and her voice sounded from further away that one of Nuka's ears perked inside the log. It wasn't the fact that night would come that scared him; far from it. In fact, there was little that could scare him; it was the fact he didn't wish to be humiliated further that did the trick. Closing his eyes, gathering whatever amounts of patience and ... well something he still had within him, the male growled, "Hey, you!" a pause followed, "Girl, thing, WHATEVER you are!" had he been able to, he'd have turned his head. However, as it was... all he could do was tug and pull mildly at his prison, "Wait! FINE! I'll do it! Just..... get me the bloody ******** hell OUT OF HERE!" the last three words were roared, almost for all to hear, however, after a final tug, he slumped on the ground again, figuring that she had left.

Anana paused as she heard him talking to her, not responding in the slightest while he, well, begged. Her ears perked as she heard the rather needy tone of his voice, a smirk uncoiling across her little maw. The poor fellow never really stood a chance with Anana, not with the traits she had inherited so kindly from her family. She began a slow trot back towards the log, letting him revel in his self-pity, the bite in the a** he assumed he had given himself by chasing her off. Then with a little glimmer of mirth in those eyes, she leaned up to put her paws on the log and look at where his bleeding neck connected with the bark, "I knew you would come to your senses." With a small frown, she unsheathed her claws, delicately scraping back some of the thick bark around his neck. Her teeth gritted at the feeling, but she figured that might be the only way without injuring him further. "It looks like the best bet is going to be and try to scrape off some of the tougher bark on the outside until the rest is weak enough to crumble. Anything else might make it worse."
He answered not, but rather, inside the log, the male's ears flattened back against his skull, his eyes narrowing in the darkness as she spoke; like ********, he thought to himself, but rather than voice the thought, he remain silent, "Whatever," he told her, a mild growl marring his words, "I don't care if it hurts; I can stand the pain, just push in so that it crumbles a bit. I'll tug at the same time," fact was, despite the claim, his pelt didn't particularly look scared around his body. Slightly scruffy, and standing on edges here and there, obvious he'd been a rogue for a long while... but not scared enough to indicate he was prone to fights, "Can endure pain, just.... do whatever you must," which was ironic, if he thought about it. Closing his eyes, Nuka remain still then, having, for the first time, entrusted his wellbeing to another creature. A female at that; he'd sworne off females, and yet here he was. Peeking one luminuscent eye open, the male growled, and idly wondered what god out there reeled so much in his misery.
She smirked at his words, obviously amused at how he was acting. To be someone that was used to pain, or rather, handled it well in his own opinion, he certainly was being a big enough baby about it. Well, she supposed that wasn't a fair assumption - he was also rather agitated that he was stuck in such an embarassing predicament and she knew that probably had a lot to do with how he was acting and how on edge he was. She certainly wouldn't want anyone to catch her in such as state (not that she would have been brainless enough to do it in the first place) but she certainly wouldn't want the person that found her to be.. well, her. "I'm not going to make you bleed anymore than I have to. You've been stuck there gods know how long, and you'll be perfectly fine doing it for just a few more minutes," she muttered, eyes narrowed and her thoughts concentrated. She began to scrape off the big pieces of hard bark on the outside of the log, going about an inch or two away from his neck, and scraping right down to a thinner layer. The feelings of scraping her claws on something like that was certainly not as fun as it sounded, and every few scrapes she grimaced. After scraping the bark away, she pushed at the weaker, flimsier pieces and, with a smirk on her maw, it crumbled like a rotting stick. "Is that enough to get, or do you need more than that?" well, for once, she was being slightly kind.
"Long enough," he murmured to her rethorical question, just loud enough for her to hear; she was right. It had more to do with being embarrassed at being in such a vulnerable position than the fear of pain or the likes. As far as he was concerned, he'd been stuck in there long enough to last him a lifetime - but oh, he'd learnt his lesson; he was paying dearly for that one moment of iditocy. He felt her work at the bark for a while, and all the while, the male seethed, twitching mildly as she let go of the bark, feeling it crumble, "Good 'nough," he growled, and with one harsh tug, the male was finaly free; granted, he's graced his neck once more, a long gash following his pelt, however, it was nothing deep and would heal soon enough. He actualy stumbled a pace or two, raising his paw to grasp as his forehead, grimancing, almost as if he were suffering from some form of migraine, "Ugh," the sound was growled as he sat his form down on the ground. Now that he was free, it was obvious the male was an adult; he wasn't extremely large, but then again, cheetahs weren't particularly large. However, if one had to pick on whom to bug and steal a dinner from... scavangers would probably think twice about bothering this one. His head was adorned by various feathers and bone trinkets, a necklace with skulls laying rather innocently around his neck. His pelt wasn't exactly elegant either; spikey and scruffy here and there, he looked like he needed a good grooming, however, it seemed to add to the whole 'leave me alone' image about him. Finaly opening his eyes, Nuka turned to glance at Anana, and imediately, he regreted having helped her; he grimaced lightly at the fact she wasn't even a fully grown female, "Right," he said to no one in particular, "Just perfect," a pause followed, during which he stood, "So, what the ******** would someone like you want anyhow?" he'd contemplated leaving; turning tail and just... running from there. He was faster than her, no doubt, but some sort of pride held him there; he'd promised he'd help and he'd follow his word.
Ana watched him in silence as he jerked himself free, leaping up to sit again on top top of the log that had been his docile captor for probably a good long while. She flicked her tail as he put a hand to his head - if she guessed right, there had probably been a lot of blood rushing to his head, considering it had been held down at such an angle to his body. She was sure that must not feel very nice, but she could care less at the moment. She had snared him into a promise and he would uphold it one way or another. If he even thought about running off, well, she could always just tell daddy that he was a big mean cheetah trying to take advantage of her. Tough guy or not, Uovu looked maniacal when he wanted to, and that was never anything anyone wanted to see. Her teeth gritted slightly as his 'just perfect', and she drew herself up slightly and arched a brow. It didn't matter that she wasn't a full adult yet - Anana had had to grow up mentally ages ago. You didn't survive seeing cubs killed by your father unless you were strong and mature enough to get through it. "I want you to help me find a mate for my father," she said simply, as if that were the most common thing anyone would ever ask of someone. She tilted her head, waiting for his reaction calmly.
A long pause followed, the male's brows suddenly both shooting up to hide within the mane tha hung awkwardly over his forehead. Now that his features had smoothed out somewhat, he actualy mananged to looked somewhat innocent, perhaps nicer than he had, what with the scowl that seemed to have taken permanent recidence on his face. After what seemed like an eternity, surprise slowly melted into confussion, his lips lifting to reveal white teeth, "... Come again?" the question was almost hesitant, his head tilting to one side. He hadn't heard right, had he? Another pause followed, during which Nukpana shook himself into the realm-of-the-living against, his paw coming to cover his eyes briefly, trying to make the pounding in his head recede into nothingness, failing miserably. After rubbing at his eyes, he lowered his paw, "Let me get this straight; You free me. And in return, you want me to play match-maker with you?" having regained whatever piece of his mind that had taken a stroll upon hearing her words, the male lifted a paw and pointed a long black claw at her, "I ain't gay, girl," he said suddenly.

Anana quirked an eyebrow at him as the scowl faded, pleasantly surprised to see that he could in fact be quit handsome if he stopped looking so darn grumpy all the time. However, the thoughts slowly faded away to nothing - she wasn't here looking for a male for herself, she was here looking to find an accomplice to her work, and he was just unlucky enough to owe her a favor. "That's correct," she said with a simple shrug, pushing herself up to stand once mroe and slinking her way along the log much like she had when his head was trapped in it. "I free you," she said as she stepped along, "and then you help me find a mate for my father." However, she stopped, a soft laugh spilling out of her mug at his exclamation, and her eyes glittered as she looked back up to him, "I'm afraid that even if you were, you're not quite his type." She smirked and leapt down, moving closer to him than she probably should have, peering up at his eyes, "my name is Anana'Nafsi, I figured it's best that we know at least one another's names if you're going to be helping me do this." Oh, it was no question - he had to help. It was his promise, a favor he owed her, and she just wouldn't take no for an answer.
This time there was no pause, even though confussion still hung heavily over his features, "Why?" it was a simple enought question, in his mind, however, something told him that the answer wouldn't be entirely all that simple at all. His liquid blue eyes gazed after her as she paved the log, looking much like the queen of the world (Not like he cared either way, really), "I dun think it be your place to find yer dad a mate or not, yah know. Shouldn't that be his bussiness and no one else's, girl?" he sneered then, the movement of his frame forcing the odd jewellry that hung from it to shake and rattle somewhat, "Just as good too, bet'cha he ain't my type either," he rolled his eyes, looking away for just a small moment before he refocussed his attention back on her. There seemed to be a silent question hanging unsaid between them, but he ignored it for the time being; fact was... she actualy looked rather pleasenelty lovely when she laughed innocently, "Nukpana," he grunted then, "Call me Nuka," he'd long since decided against bolting away; if he played his cards well, he'd be entertained and amused for a while at least, besides, as far as he was aware, matchmaking wouldn't force bodily harm on him, "Shouldn't you be looking for a mate for YOU rather than palyin' matchmaker with your oldtimer? Bet he's not gonna appreciate this - I wouldn't."
"If you had to spend every waking moment, and some moments when you should be sleeping, trying to keep him from being a nuisance, then you'd understand why it's absolutely necessary for me to find him a mate," she said with a little glimmer of annoyance in her eyes. She didn't appreciate the fact that he was telling her what she should and shouldn't be doing - after all, if he had known her father half as well as she did and had to put up with half the crap, then he'd see her problem. "He needs a lady so she can take care of his mess instead of me having to do it, but the problem with that is he really doesn't see a problem with his.. addiction," she laughed softly at her own word choice and glanced back up to him. She shrugged lightly, not really caring whether or not he thought it was her place. He had promised to help her and that was the end of it. "Well, Nuka, you can call me Ana, since my name is a touch long," she nodded, sitting slowly, calmly, as if this was a perfectly normal conversation to be having. "I'm afraid that until my father has a mate to occupy him, any male that even tries to get within a few feet of me is going to be met with quite a display of violence on daddy's part," she said calmly, picking her paw up to examine it coolly, "you should have seen what he did to this fellow that simply wanted directions." She shook her head, as if it were just a simple problem, and glanced back up to him with those deep teal eyes of hers, "he can appreciate it or not - but either way, it's going to happen."
He'd opened his maw, no doubt about to mention something, but he seemed to think better of it and closed it tight shut again, a frown covering his features; what kind of dude needed his daughter to stay away all night taking 'care' of him? "Look toots, either you give me a full story here, or you can put up with my questions and my annoyance; you'd be annoyed in my bloody place too. All I know is that you want a mate for your old-timer, for GODS know WHAT reason, and unless you fill me in, I ain't gonna be of much help, now am I?" he pointed a claw at her again, lightly poking her chest fluff with it, well aware he was calling her by nicknames instead of her given name; granted, the bitting sarcasm from before was gone, which left the nickname as just... that. A petname. If he had to put up with this, she'd have to put up with him using petnames, "Spill it; what addition. What the ******** am I signing up for?" he snorted then, "That ain't any diferent from behavoir I'd be displaying if I had a daughter; which I thankfuly do NOT, mind," he said, waving a paw almost dismissively; you needed to be male to think like one, it seemed, "Probably either offed him if he thought he'd laid a paw on you, or made it so he'd no longer be able to reproduce by the looks of it," a pause, his eyes suddenly narrowing, "I ain't signing up for a fight with your 'daddy' if he notices I'm here, toots," this said, he sat back down, his long tail curling about his body, the tip twitching to one side and to the other
She gritted her teeth slightly as he demanded the story, shifting her eyes away from him and instead looking up towards the sky as if that would give her a way to wriggle out of telling him the whole story. She wasn't exactly ashamed of her father, but it wasn't really easy telling anyone that he was a sociopathic murderer either. Not to mention, she had never told anyone about him, not anyone that wasn't directly affected by his little 'problem' at least. "Alright then," she said slowly, her eyes narrowing on a lumpy cloud making a lazy stroll across the sky, "my father is a sociopathic murderer who kills younglings. Cubs, pups, kittens, it doesn't matter - if they're out by themselves or vulnerable to him, he's going to kill them," she said it, quietly, shifting her eyes back to him, "and as of right now, I'm the only one that has the ability to save those poor things, so most of my nights are spent up and wandering after him instead of actually sleeping like a normal young lady would." She shrugged, glancing back to him, and seemingly unphased with having to talk about something rather gruesome."He needs a mate so I can actually start living a normal life, at least by my family's standards of normal." She tilted her head at him, "you promised to help me and you didn't happen to state your terms before I helped you out, so I would think you've signed up for whatever I asked." It was stated rather matter-of-factly, a way of saying that was what had happened and he might as well suck it up. "And that poor fellow, sadly, won't be seeing the light of day again, at least not in this life," she said with a sad smile, "but as long as you aren't stupid enough to come too close to him, I don't think there will be a problem." She frowned down at his clawed paw, but simply looked at it before he backed away. Well, he certainly wouldn't get very far with daddy if he started showing such a behavior.

He watched her intently, eyes narrowing down as she chose to look away and towards the sky; if he'd been interested before, now his curiosity was extremely perked for she was acting as if she was hidding something. This was mildly interesting; granted, Nuka was known for being rash, and acting perhaps, before he thought things over, however, behind that that rashness, there was an underlying inteligence. Whenever he could keep his emotions in check (which was more often than not... rarely), he proved to be a worthy intellectual openent to many, "What're you hiddin' anyhow?" the words were murmured, the grunting gone in favour of trying to see beyond what was in front of his very nose. Which was proving to be extremely hard, for she was closed to him; he couldn't see under that mask of hers. As she spoke, however, the male took a step back, his brows once more shooting to hide under his mane. For the longest of moments, he looked taken back by the new information, his features smoothening somewhat once more.
And then.... he blinked and burst out laughing. He sat and laughed; his voice resounding throughout the savvanah; mirth ringing in the sound that echoed. Oh, he wasn't amused by the fact the girl's father was a murderer, oh no... he wasn't even entertained by the fact, nor did he think it was a joke. In fact, now that he paused to ponder it, it explained more than one thing, as far as he was concerned. As soon as he was done laughing, something had changed in his attitude; instead of looking annoyed beyond a doubt, he looked mildly amused, a smirk marring his features, erasing whatever innocence had been on them before, replaced by mirth, "Explains a thing or two, now ain't it?" he snorted then, "Like yer manipulation skills, and the way you pressed the bark to my neck; you weren't gonna hurt me, were yeh?" he paused then, the mirth washing away as he pondered, "Hate to break it to yah, toots, but most girl's ain't gonna want to get tied to someone like that. Yeh got my wod; I'll help yeh, so long no harm comes to me," he narrowed his eyes, "The moment something's there that might harm me though, I'm out. Deal or not. I ain't getting in the way of that," he smirked then, his head tilting, "Fact it, I never signed a contract; I rather stick my head back in the log than get killed by whatever it is you have for a father. Survival an all that crap; so long I ain't getting harmed, I'll assist you in everything I can," he seemed amused again, leaning his head forward till he was invading her personal space, yet not touching her, "At least it'll be a bit more amusing than what I've been doing for days now. One thing's clear though, toots - I ain't your pet. Ain't gonna get tugged 'round by a leash, and the moment you think that helping me warrants you owning me, I'm out of here, faster than you OR your father can catch up to me, I garantee this..." the way he spoke made it clear that yes, he was helping her, however, he did not hold his leash; he'd been on the run for long enough to know how things worked, and to garantee he could get away with it, "Got it? I'm helping you, not binding meself to a bloody contract, so stop givin' me that look of superiority, as if you owned me. Yer dad might be a sociopath, toots, but that ain't binding me," he leaned away then, watching her carefuly, his eyes narrowed.
She frowned as he burst out in laughter, ears drooping somewhat and her eyes narrowing rather coldy at him. It was hard not to imagine some surly storm cloud forming over her head, sparking lightening in every direction and a few claps of thunder added for effect. She disliked being laughed at, especially after revealing such an important fact and the entire reason for the distress she experienced on a regular basis. However, that little burst of emotion was all he was going to get from her. Ana had spent a long time learning to push away emotions and deal with things on a detatched level (it was required when dealing in her father's line of work) to begin interacting any other way now. As he began to speak again, she drew herself up once more and let her features fall into a calm. "Manipulation is a game I like to play and it just so happens that I've gotten very good at it, but you'd understand if you had to spend five minutes with him. That's just how we are with one another," she smiled, weakly at this, and it was apparently very evident that no matter how annoyed she got with her father, she still loved him as any daughter would their father. She smirked, however, at his second revelation, "no, I wouldn't have hurt you for the world, but you didn't know that and that was what I was counting on." She shruggd - that's just how it worked for her.
"You don't think I know that?" she said with an irritated sigh, pushing herself up and beginning to pace. "That's why I help doing this, because the type of female it's going to take to reign him in and tolerate his nonsense is one in a million. It's not impossible though, because my mother was able to do all of that and more before she died," she didn't pause on saying her mother died, or think very much of telling him for that matter - she had been young, and she remembered very little of her. She stopped at his next words though, looking up at the sky as she thought, eyes turning slowly down to him as she nodded. "Alright, that's perfectly reasonable, but that means if I tell you to hide you go and do it. I won't be responsible for him catching hold of you if you don't listen to reason." She laughed softly and sat back down, closer than before (not inside his personal space, of course) and shrugged, "why would I want to put you on a leash? I have my dad on one and that's hard enough to hold on to as it is. No, you can leave under any of those conditions - I don't think you'd run off for anything less."
"I ain't gonna question you; when there's a storm and someone else other than me knows it better, I ain't got a problem with following instructions," he nodded, having calmed down from his outburst; as far as he was aware, there were two ways to look at things. One could be afraid and run away, or one could be amused and charge forward. He'd obviously picked the second outlook, however, not like he was going to tell her. After all, he wasn't looking for her approval on anything. Amazingly enough, when she mentioned her dead mother, all what he did was arch a brow mildly; he didn't press the issue further, but rather, chose to remain silent on it. Was that TACT he was displaying? Surely not! Except... that's what it was, wether he or she recognised it as such. Even one as he knew that such was a story for another place and another time, if she ever deemed it time or place to tell him. He snorted then, a grimace running through his features, his head lifting up, his eyes narrowing down at her enough to tell her something along the lines of 'been there, done that....'. Slowly, he looked away briefly before refocusing his attention on her, "I'll tell you why; 'cause I've had it happen before, and I ain't walking down that path again," he narrowed his eyes, in a similar manner to the way she wouldn't add any further info about her mother, he said no more about this; this too was a story for another place and another time, "You're aware that in a way, what yer doing is quite sly, eh?" he smirked slightly down at her as she sat; his frame when sitting was larger than hers. It was obvious he was older, "Basicly, what her doin' is placing down the bulk of the job on another to save your pelt," wether she saw it or not, he was actualy teasing her at this point, pausing to nod, "No, I wouldn't run away for anything less.... I was bored anyhow," he turned to look away so she wouldn't be able to read the lie in his eyes; he was staying because he wanted to. Not because he was bored. His tail thumped the ground once, twice before he arched a brow down at her.
"Good, that saves me a lot of trouble," she said, although it wasn't said as she would have previously, her manner of talking down to him had changed dramatically. It was a wonder how her personality altered when she was actually getting her way. She wasn't aware of his lack of mentioning her mother, and he simply dismissed the arched eyebrow. She'd never had to talk about her mother before and she saw no reason to tell the story now. She'd never really even had to ask her father what had happened - one look at his face, at those scars, and she'd been completely aware of the misfortune that had happened early in her life. She figured Nuka could probably figure it out if he ever laid eyes on her father, which did seem rather inevitable, even if he did so from a distance. After all, he'd have to know what they were working with. 'Don't judge a book by its cover' certainly didn't apply in her father's case - he looked as creepy as he acted in most instances. She dismissed his claim of already being on a leash, and simply said, "you've got no problem with me trying to put you on one. That's more responsibility than I'm willing to be bothered with right now."
"Sly?" she said with a small smirk on her delicate little mug, eyes gleaming with faux innocence, leaking from her like a waterfall, "I can't imagine why in the world you would ever sat that." She, however, did laugh rather softly and nod - "Well, that, but it'd be really hard for me to keep sneaking off when he gets suspicious of me and males so easily these days and the fact that I really do need to keep a close eye on him, especially come nightfall." She shrugged, smirking lightly, "that, and he already knows I'm planning something." Oh, but he did! He saw it in her eyes every time he looked at her, she was sure. "Well, I guarantee that you won't be bored if you stick around me long enough," she said, a smirk on her maw - well, it wasn't really obvious whether the end of his boredom was a good or bad thing in this instance.

"Saves YOU a lot of trouble?" he snorted somewhat, amused for some reason, then stood, shaking his pelt slightly, his back leg reaching up to scratch at the base of his shoulder slightly; he'd been prisoner of that log for long enough he was starved and ruffled. If she wanted him to be of any use, he was going to have to hnt himself down a meal. Or two. Or three. As she spoke again, the male turned in time to see the faux innocence pass through her features; his own contracted into a grimace, "You look as innocent as the cat whom ate the ********' canary, toots," he snorted again, his eyes rolling somewhat as he once more turned around, "No need to worry 'bout me. So long you don't sic 'im on me, I'll be safe 'nough," he smirked down at her, his head moving to motion for them to leave, "Dunno you, but I'm starved, so you can either stay here or come. I'm getting me some bloody food," and this said he trotted off; he did pause briefly to look over his shoulder, signaling he DID in fact, expect her to come with him, "Won't be bored, no, I'd wager."
She smirked at his comment and let all the fake innocence vanish in the quick flutter of an eye, pushing herself up calmly. If she wanted to actually look like she was innocent, as if she had no idea what he meant, she could probably do it without him being the wiser. Of course, he would begin to expect that - she wondered, idly, how long it would take him to figure out her games. She shrugged - it didn't matter right now, for she simply didn't have any to play with him at the moment. "I could use some food," she said with a small smirk on her maw and began to trot after him, catching up and falling in at his side. She searched the country side - not just for a meal, but for a candidate. Oh, but the sooner she began to look the sooner she would find one. She smiled, calmly, without any of her normal emotions attached to it - just a smile, and that was it.
