 Winter had surely come quickly to the lands. One night the evening was cool and the dark skies were clouding out the moon. The next morning when Dafina awoke, the lands were covered in powdery snow. Luckily she had not awoken alone. Her mother was there with her. In the little thicket that the older mare called home. She often wondered why her mother did not go to her two leggers teepee like her father did.
But she also knew her mother was wild and free at heart. Oh well.
The snow had turned her home into a frozen playground. Though times would get tighter as winter swung into full gear. Dafina was not worried. She had her family to get her through the tough times.
Cantering through the trees, she broke into a run. Racing down a hill side, kicking up snow behind her. The chilly wind froze any sweat that decided to form upon her dappled coat. Zipping across the frozen plain, she slowed into a trot. Watching as the snow settled. Some still clinging to her dark tail before flicking it off. The sun covered by the clouds gave little sunlight. How hard would it be for someone watching her to see her dark coat against the shaded background.
Tough luck for any stallions on the prowl. She pursed her lips together in thought.

Ramus grunt and gave a snort. it was cold and on top of it there was cold snow too. he wrinkled his nose in slight annoyance at the snow as he walked along through it. giving a toss of his head, he wasnt really out on the prowl to meet anyone or see anyone though he didnt forget that he was to meet Dafina again at some point and time. no matter, he decided he might look around for her if he got bored enough but for now he took off charging through the snow then suddenly threw himself into the snow without another thought. now covered in snow, he looked white than ever even though before his white marks added little help in being noticed if any bothered to search or see a odd stallion that tossed himself into the snow.

Dafina had turned around just in time to see someone, who looked similar to Ramus, toss themselves into the snow. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head at the spectacle, but then a sudden fit of laughter bubbled up from within her chest.
It had to be Ramus. Who else would of done such a thing? Well no one she knew. Not that she knew a lot of others in the first place. But not someone who had the same coat color as him.
Still giggling, she trotted through the snow towards him. Her head cocked to the side as a wide grin spread across her dark maw. "Having fun are we, Ramus?" Stopping only a few feet from him, she couldn't help but giggle more. He just looked...so ridiculous like that.

the only one to even have a remotly simular coat to his was his brother and the one he got his coat color from was his father so it was hard not to reconize him since he was still way different in the markings than his father. Ramus' ears twitched at the noise of laughter and a familiar one at that and he hardly knew many others that where not family. geting up from his side, his eyes grew wide adn then he smirked at Dafina. " well look at who we got here. and maybe i am? only i will ever know that one!" geting to his hooves, he then started to shake the snow off his body, mane and tail which caused a bunch of snow to go falling off him that had stuck to him.

"Awww. Off having fun without me then?" She mock pouted. Stepping back as snow went flying. "You really know how to leave someone out of things Ramus. Its not fair." Dafina gave him a little wink before moving in a half circle around him. Good thing it was him. She was a little unsure if it was someone else how they would of reacted.
Stopping, hoof prints left a trail behind her in the snow. "You never do share your secrets with me do you? Another unfair thing." Moving closer to him, she nudged him in the shoulder with her own. "So are you ready for a re-match?"

" hey i only was having fun dispit the annoying cold and how was i to know you would be around." Ramus just grinned at her winking and watched her move around him. he was so laid bck it would take alot to cause any other reaction out of him. " oh ho ho but must i give all my secrets away to a mare i hardly know?" giving a wink of his own, he then leap away from her after she nudged him giving a hearty laugh. " oh yes the re-match, how ever could i forget such an inportant thing. sure if your up for brawling in the cold and snow." looking back at her, he had a playful smirk on his face. he had no problems brawling at anytime and would just ignore the annoyance of the cold. and dispit how his father and gradnfather felt about mares, he was not against having a bit of brawl out of fun with anyone even a mare who was strong enough to handle his wild side dispit the usual laid back nature of his.

"Then perhaps I should get to know you better so you will?" Her grin curled into a smirk as he lept away. Dark red eyes watching him intently, her tail flicking back and forth in anticipation.
She wasn't above a nice little brawl. Dafina had grown up with two younger brothers of her own. So really, she was used to the rough and tumble. Even if it seemed perhaps she wasn't.
"I don't see how you could. I didn't." The mare started to move slowly across the snow. Her eyes locked on him now, ears twitching every few seconds. "Its seems its not me who'd be abject to brawling in the cold snow. I'm used to the coldness by now." Lowering her head, she squared off. Pawing at the ground lightly. Leaving little trails in the snow beneath her. "Lets go then."

" thats only if you decide to do so but i can say it wont be that easy. im not one thats so easy to get secrets from." Ramus would only trust and talk so much as his father and grandfather made sure to teach him to only trust family. he moved himself to face her and gave a toss of his mane. " you should have known i didn't forget and your so asked for it." pawign the ground, he calmly waited for her to make the first move to start the brawl. unlike before he was deturmed not to lose or have a tie like before as he was as prideful as his father and all he could do was grin.

"I like a challenge." Dafina's grin almost cut her face in half with how wide it had become. Ramus would certainly be a challenge, but she wouldn't let that deter her.
In a split second, she bounded his way. Picking up what little speed she could with the distance between them. At the moment she would of plowed into him, she jumped to the side. Turning her head just slightly to catch a n** at his cheek before prancing off to the side. Her tail lashing back and forth behind her quickly before she pranced in place. "You haven't hit your head. So you have no excuse for being less than stellar this time!" She called out with a light bit of laughter to her voice.

Ramus stood as still as a statue as he watched her charge her way towards him. he had taken many charges and rough brawls and had no trouble taking a charge from a mare even if it would knock him back and stubble a bit. his grin grew wider as she changed her direction and felt the n** upon his cheek. oh it was so on adn he still stood and gave a snicker. " indeed." it was all he said as he wipped around and aim his head at her to try and give a rather rough headbutt. if she wanted a challege oh he would bring it and it didnt matter to him that she was a female, a brawl was a brawl to him.

Dafina caught his movement out of the corner of her eye. His head moving around to head butt her. She wouldn't be taken out so easily, oh no.
Skittering out of the way, she turned with great ease and fluidity. Graceful yet dangerous as she tried to n** at his cheek again. "The snow making you a little slow?" She giggled. "That rhymed!"

Ramus made no reply and only aimed at her once again. his bulky and big frame and added snow did slow him a bit but he would get the hang of it and speed up. he had no plans on slipping, stumbbling or falling into the snow and losing. oh no he planned to show her just how well he could brawl and give her a real challenge.

Letting out a small yawn, Dafina continued to prance around once more. Her ears swiveling thing way and that as she listened to the silent air around them.
"Come on Ramus. Your putting me to sleep." She taunted, giving her rump a little wiggle as she went to hop past him once more.

Ramus grunted and with out a word went after her again. he was being a bit on the safer side, since he didn't want to go all out just went. " oh please, not like your doing much!" grinning, he would,t let her have the uper hand plus if she was trying to rile him that was one hard thing to do though amusing enough was easy to do to his father.

"Because you aren't giving much to work with. Not with predictable moves like that." She retorted with a little smirk. Lowering her head down as he came at her. Enough 'playing around'. It was time to get a bit more serious. But not too serious. Oh no. She didn't want to hurt him...too much.
That thought made her giggle inwardly as she pawed at the ground. Springing forward with the power of her back legs pushing her forward as she ran straight for him. But this time she wouldn't prance away. It was a kamikaze move for sure.
