I've never actually touched a porcupine. Maybe they're actually really soft.
The world may never know. (How many licks does it take to get to the center of a porcupine, anyway?)

=O I guess the name 'Porcupine' just makes everyone assume they're pokey. And that's terrible. Because it's true. Poor Kiwis.
