Corbin twitched his ears, searching for any sign of those odd creatures called girls. His eyes landed on a mass of pink and white. Oh no, this one was even covered in frills. Not a chance was he going to get stuck in playing some stupid girl game. No shopping, no trees, and absolutely no dolls. Corbin turned the other way and hit his father's leg.

"Go on and play. At least introduce yourself."

"No."

Greg rolled his eyes and pulled his struggling son by the arm to the Flaffy. "Go ahead." He told his son, pushing him forward with his hands.

Corbin glared at his parental unit and crossed his arms, turning to stare at Amir. "Name's Corbin, what's yours?" He said with a roll of his eyes in monotone. He lifted an eyebrow, his voice taking on an interested and weirded out tone. "And what are you DOING?"

Amir was quite content to have time to himself. Winter was at work, Edan was at the shop, and Cody was out at the gym. Cold as it was, Amir still enjoyed the park. Winter had insisted that he bundled himself up before he went out so he wore a pair of pants -which he loathed- and a thick yellow sweater. Wool fluffed out through the neck, he was certain getting it back the way it was prior would be a pain now that it was matted down against the sweater.

He took a deep breath, slowly bending himself backwards. It looked like he was on his belly, but arching backwards as far as he could go, tail curled behind him and eyes closed peacefully. Up dog. It was a strengthening pose, and by the heavens it felt good on his back. "And down."

He got himself to all fours, bending himself into a downward facing position, it looked quite akward with his back bent at a sharp angle and belly hollowed inward. It was then that the Zangoose made himself known. The flaaffy cracked an eye open. "...Yoga." He said simply, in an almost sleepy voice, "Down dog position."

Corbin watched him with wide red eyes, managing to look child-like. His gaze flickered to his father who looked deeply disturbed. He'd never understood Yoga.

The boy sat down in front of the Flaffy and poked him with one large claw. "Yoga?" So it was a boy. "Down dog position? Are you a dog? Or pretending to be a dog?" It was unusual for Corbin to ask so many questions in a row but this was truly interesting to him.

The zangoose then did something Greg didn't expect. He got down and tried to mimic the other Pokemon. It didn't look right at all but he was trying.

"Yeah yoga." Amir answered, though at the moment he was unaware that the Zangoose now thought 'yoga' was his name. "No no...they name the positions. This is called down dog." He moved back into the previous position, arching his back and leaning upwards, "And up dog... they energize you and stretch your back. It's how I warm up."

He watched kind of lazily as the boy tried to imitate him. "No no...hollow your belly, keep your arms and legs straight, exhale when you take this position, then inhale in up-dog position.""

"Warm up? Like the warm-up for ballet?" He asked wagging his tail. His brow furrowed as he tried to figure out why they were called 'dogs'. He made his arms and legs as straight as he could and breathed out. "What's hallow your belly mean?" He asked quickly trying not to breath in.

Greg thought this was a riot. He openly laughed and sat down to enjoy the show Corbin was giving. The older kid didn't seem to really care what was going on. "Where's your parents?" He asked idly.

"Suck your belly in." He explained, you just stretch into the pose, make a reversed 'v' if you can. It's really easy once you get the hang of it." He relaxed his position and returned to a sit on the mat, glancing back to shoot a glare towards the kid's parent. How rude!

"My mother is at work right now." He answered simply, stretching his arms over his head, "And you warm up. Stretch out before you do the hard stuff so you don't hurt yourself."

Cobin did as he was told, sucking in his belly and straining to do the position. He shook slightly as he slipped in the dirt and landed face first. "Ow..." He mumbled sitting up and rubbing the sore spot on his nose. "Its hard..." He told the Flaaffy.

"Jeeze I was just checkin' jeeze."

"You gotta relax." Amir moved himself over on his Yoga mat. "Here... this helps too. It gives you grip and it's soft."

The flaaffy stepped away from the mat and patted it, "Take a deep breath... don't concentrate on what you're doing but just...move with it. Never push yourself, you'll pull something."

Corbin sniffed at the mat experimentally then pulled off his red parka revealing a black tank top. He put it in his father's lap and stepped lightly onto the mat, keeping his claws from digging into it. He got down and tried again, this time he focused on what the electric Pokemon had told him.

Relax, like when you see the people on TV get ready to dance. He took in a few deep breaths and let them out. Move with it? Wouldn't that be easier to music? He twitched his tail and his ears as he attempted the down dog position, finding it easier this time. He finally managed to get it and held it for a few precious minutes. "Like this?"

"That's it." Amir smiled, sitting himself down next to his mat with his legs folded over each other, "Yoga's all about finding your center, you never want to push yourself to do more than you can. Just go until you know you can't go anymore. Then each time, you'll find you get more and more flexible."

Amir bent himself backwards, catching the ground with his hands as his legs uncurled and came under him, pushing himself upside-down into what looked like an extremely arched crab walk stance. "Like this."

"What's a 'center'?" The Zangoose asked, releasing the position and watching as Amir did another move. He blinked in surprise wondering how his back could do that. "What kind of dog is that?" The boy asked excitedly.

"Your center is like..." He paused to think of a word for it, taking a long, deep breath, "It's your soul. The very core of your being. The source of the spiritual flow of energy. Once you find your center you can feel it moving through you, through your arms, legs, filling your lungs with every breath. If you find your center you can close out all other distractions, find inner peace."

He couldn't help but laugh at the second question, "It's not. Every pose has a name. This is a backward bend. And this..." He slowly lowered himself to the ground and onto his back, then bending his legs up and over himself so his feet were planted down by his head, "Is the plow."

The boy only stared at him. The concept the Flaaffy was trying to explain far beyond his years. He could only tilt his head to the side in confusion. He then felt embarrassed when he'd make the mistake of the pose name. "A plow?" He questioned then shied away. "I know how to do something else!"

With that he stood up and did his own pose, arms held skyward, one leg lifted backward, the tip of his foot nearly touching his back. He dropped that pose and began to dance, stopping to pose everyone in a while. He noticed that it was almost like yoga. "See?" He arched backward as far as he could without a partner and smiled at Admir. "I can do this!"

"Ah, dancing." Amir nodded lazily. "Yes... I know about that. Here, there's a pose you might like quite a bit."

The flaaffy stood himself up and came to stand on one foot, resting the other in a way that his legs almost made a '4' shape, his foot resting right above his knee. "This is called the tree." He said simply, holding his hands in front of him in a prayer pose. "Find your balance...", he reached his hands out to either side of him, "Then let your branches grow out."

The zangoose watched him, shivering a bit in the chill. "Tree..." He repeated then mimicked the move. He found this one easy as he kept his tail swaying to keep his balance. It was so much like a move he would do during dancing. He brought out his arms and lost his balance when his tail wagged. He quickly put his foot down on the ground and tried again. "This is fun, Yoga! What else is there?"
