 The day was only just beginning a light frost and mist covered the land. This time the mist wasn't made by one hype Kiris, it was natural and Naomi was fascinated by it and the frost that clung to the leafs edges. She bent in close to one leaf, so close that her warm breath melted the frost. Naomi didn't understand it. It was the first time she had ever seen frost.

He strolled down the path, shuddering at the cold wind that wrapped around him like an icy blanket. This coldness was hardly his favorite, even if it was his first time experiencing such weather. Though a part of him - a very small part that he hardly considered to be any sane portion of his mind - liked the way the world look all frosted over in white as the stiff ground crunched beneath his paws.
Yunxu hoped the weather would change soon to something a bit warmer. He snorted, and his nostrils flared as the scent of brimstone burned them. Shaking his head, he continued walking.

Naomi started to prance around with glee. She had figured out that if you snort or even just breath of the frost it disappears. She continued to do this till she ran out of breath which was a very long time. Her tail moved lively around behind her and just then her tummy grumbled. In all the excitement she didn't even notice that her hunger had been growing.
She raised her head high and looked around the area for berries or some good leafs to chew on.

The forest was quiet, much to Yunxu's delight, though he buried such emotions deep down inside of him. He trotted on, poking it low branches here and bushes there. Having heard a grumble from his stomach, he came to realize just how hungry he had gotten - forgetting to eat before taking this little journey through the forest might not have been the best decision.
Yunxu paused when he spied movement. After a moment, he realized it was another Kirishitsuno. Habit told him to back away quietly before she noticed his presence.

Naomi had finely spotted a raspberry bush, it too was covered in frost. She pranced over to the bush so curious to try a berry with frost on it. What would it taste like? she wonder. Would it even be editable?
On her way over to the bush something colourful caught her eye. She turned her head to look to it in full view. It was another Kirishitsuno of the dragonic line just like her. She didn't know weather to be happy or run. She stayed where she was, her front paws moving uneasily.

A frown settled neatly on his face when the female Kirishitsuno spotted him. For not the first time, he cursed having such a brightly colored coat of fur. It was impossible to blend in with the scenery when he stuck out like a sore thumb.
Even if she sees me, it doesn't mean anything, he thought to himself with a snort. He shook his head, nostrils flaring for the second time at the scent of brimstone. Sighing, he trotted forward. Perhaps she would merely ignore his presence.

Ah he's coming closer! what does he want. Thought Naomi in her own mind. Turn and run or stay and fight? no, no, no, he couldn't have wanted to do that. If he did why wouldn't he have just charged at her. Going against her instincts she turned her back on him and walked back to the berry bush, not prance. Her playful nature seemed to disappear for a moment but it would be back, nothing had ever been able to keep it down before.
She stopped in front of the bush and gingerly took the first raspberry into her mouth. It was cool and not crunchy but not smoothie ether, it was a mixture of the two. The juice didn't explode into her mouth like normal, she sorta liked it. Her tail swayed behind her as she grew happy again. She looked up to see where the brightly coloured Kiris went.

It seemed to him that the female Kirishitsuno didn't care to pay any mind to him. Yunxu shrugged it off, deciding it was better that way as he continued trotting forward through the forest.
The scent of something sweet caught his attention. Yunxu glanced around until he noticed the female Kirishitsuno was eating something. He frowned again as his stomach gave a growl.

Naomi's ears twitched and swiveled backwards to the sound of a gurgling growl. She raised her head and turned it to the bright Kirishitsuno again. She smiled and giggled knowing what that sound meant. She shook her head at her mother's teachings and thought out. "Hey bright stuff. You hungry?" She side stepped to make room for him.

Yunxu sneered slightly at the nickname the female Kirishitsuno had decided to give him. "My name isn't bright stuff," he told her, ignoring the hot flush of embarrassment at having his growling stomach heard. He trotted forward with his head held high. Not knowing when he would next find something to eat, he took a nibble of one berry.

Naomi's tail hugged her back legs as she thought, guess mom was right. Not all Kiris are nice. She sighed but noticed that the Kirishitsuno came and ate with her anyways, can't be all bad. Still slightly hurt she called him the nickname one more time as a jab at him. "So bright stuff what do they call you then? I'm Naomi." She bowed her head once.

He nibbled on a few more of the berries, ignoring the presence of the female Kirishitsuno until she spoke again. His lip pulled back in a sneer at the continued use of the nickname. "I'm Yunxu," he answered, wondering why she insisted on talking while he was trying to enjoy the meal of berries.

She was starting to think that he was rude, but she wasn't about to let that stop her from being her self. "Thats a nice name but I think I like Bright Stuff better." She smiled with a happy giggle and went back to eating the frozen berries. "Good aren't they? I've never eaten them with this white cool stuff all over them before, but ya know I kinda like it." Her thoughts where so giddy and full of life as she talked/thought to him.

He grumbled mentally, wondering why he had to meet up with such a chatty Kirishitsuno. But he supposed it couldn't be helped. His unsociable attitude didn't seem to do anything to deter her peppiness. "I don't approve of such a nickname," he muttered, munching on another berry. He had to admit she was right about the frosty white stuff adding to the taste of them.

Naomi looked up to him a bit shocked. "Why? did the other Kiris foals make fun of you?" She was being serious and it showed in her blue hues. Her tail swayed behind her rather slowly, more of a slow twitch now as she wait for answer.
