Well, y'have to get the golden shovel first, which is easy. First make sure you have two shovels. Then bury one and wait at least 24 hours before you dig it up again. It will be golden and all shiny.
Then you can bury bags of money in a hole to make a tree. However, the tree may not fruit. If you bury 50K, there will be a 50% chance that it will fruit. If 75K, 75% and so on. The "fruit" is three money bags of 30K each. So it's not really worth it if you put in more than 90K.
As far as I know the tree only fruits once.
