If you like games enough to be poking your head around the gaming subforum, chances are good that, at some point, you've played a game where there was just something missing. Some glaring opportunity the company that made it didn't take advantage of that you somehow saw.
What game(s) have you seen like this? What do you think it needed? A feature another game used, or perhaps a feature that was in the previous game that they took out of the sequel for some reason? Or maybe something no one but you noticed. Feel free to mention more than one game.
------------------------------------
The World of Mana series: Legend of Mana had three separate workshops where you could make different items for yourself. Every game in the series since then has lacked this feature. Children of Mana was ridiculously linear.
Capcom Vs. SNK 2: How do you have a Capcom themed game without Mega Man?! HOW?!
Ghost Master: The ending doesn't really pay off. After you finish the game, you should be able to revisit any house with your entire ghost arsenal, instead of just the ones from that chapter.

I actually don't play a whole lot of games. At least not those that're sequels. I've played a few FF games, but that's about the extent of the sequelrific games. There's always something in each of them that I wish they'd included or left out of the others, but nothing really stands out as 'missing'.
I'm sure I'll come across something eventually.

Harvest moon rune factory for Ds. In all the HM games I played I always had to worry about how much my animals liked me and their health. In this game they never get sick AND always love me once I get them to that level. So all in all I have over 50 animals on my farm and for weeks on end I didn't take care of them just so I could level up (a new feature for the franchise)

Any xbox 360 game that has live capabilities but does not allow you to splitscreen online.
Halo 3 and gears of war are examples of the games that do let you do this. But the call of duty games, lost planet, etc. do not allow you to do so.
It is a bit of a minor complain but I have a younger brother I compete with for time to play online, and I also enjoy playing alongside him. The fact that some games lack it is actually a pretty large bias as to what games I look into buying.
