I still have my cards, actually in a spot right under my keyboard.

I still only have my one deck, but I play against one of my friends every once in a while still. She's like the only person I'm still friends with that plays often or to my level, but we're currently trying to teach a couple of our Dungeons and Dragons mates to play, and in tern those guys are trying to teach us Magic.

I still wish there were more people to play with who weren't obnoxious twelve-year-olds. I've dueled my friend so much we have each others decks completely memorized.
I used to play Pokemon on a Gameboy game; I have tons of cards still, but I never played in real life because none of my friends could play. Besides the actual Pokemon, you use trainer cards and energy cards (trainer are pretty much like magic/trap cards, and energy allow you to use your Pokemon's attacks), but I really only know the basics of the game, since the Gameboy game I played was so old. I don't know about any of the new cards. XP Pretty much though a basic game goes by setting up 'prizes,' which are cards set off to the side from each deck. Every time you defeat one of your enemy's Pokemon, you take a prize, and once you get all of yours, you win. The Pokemon have different attacks they can use on each other, and instead of having higher attack destroys lower attack monster, each Pokemon has hitpoints that you can damage little by little, or all at once depending on how strong your Pokemon are. You also need to attach energy cards to Pokemon to use their attacks, which tell you how much energy you need for each type of attack. You can bring only one Pokemon out for battle at a time, while you can have five others on the bench, which allow for easy switching. You can also evolve Pokemon by placing their evolution on top of the preevolution (you can't bring out evolved Pokemon without having the first generation out first). It doesn't cost anything to evolve (besides your younger Pokemon that evolves), but evolved Pokemon are more powerful, and therefore require more energy cards to attack. That's pretty much the basics...
Haha, I have a few Dragon Ball Z, Teen Titans, and Sailor Moon cards, but I never learned how to play. XD;; I don't have enough of any to make a full deck anyway. I have two complete decks of Avatar: The Last Airbender cards, but I tried to learn how to play and it was really confusing. XP

Haha, I get comments like that whenever I'm riding my scooter. XD;; It's pretty normal to ride them around my college campus because it's so big, but a lot of times there will be tour groups visiting the school from elementary schools, and all the stupid little kids are like, "OMG scooter!!1"
Pokemon is definitely much simpler than YUU*GI*OU, so you could probably just learn through an online guide.
