::Dream...Reality:::
It almost seems to be an endless abyss, stretching out to infinity to either side. The surrounding darkness swirls with an occasional whorl of color, dark purple or blue, or by chance a combination of both. The same color continuation appears should you look above, although the colors are more frequent, and could almost be said to resemble the patterns created when one is underwater looking at the surface above.
You find yourself standing on a surface that is remniscent of stained glass, although the picture itself is difficult to see because of the size of it and of your proximity. It appears to feature several scenes from Avryn, including the barracks, cliffs, and plains, along with a few of the major cities. Strangely enough, you can see the glass perfectly well despite your dark surroundings.
A childlike giggle echoes from behind you. A strange person hovers over the center of the stained glass platform smiling at you. They don't appear to be wearing any clothing, other than an odd offwhite sash that hovers around their body from their shoulders all the way down past their toes, almost touching the floor. Their entire body glows with a white light, including their shock of white hair, which falls down to their waist. Their eyes shimmer, changing colors from green to blue every few seconds, and sparkle with a mischievous light.
Even though they appear to be a child of about ten years old, there is something decidedly strange about this person...
"Welcome," they whisper, their voice taking on echoey tones.

It had been the rains that had lulled his over excited mind into sleep. It had always helped him to sleep when he had much on his mind and couldn't find sleep if he tried. Soon that was blotted out into silence, pure silence as if the rain hadn't fallen, not the crackling of his fire burned. What was this strange place? Pools of deep purple fluttered open upon the dark expanse he had been pulled into, Glancing around he looked at the changing colors before down toward the glass beneath his claws toes.
Turning a bit he was intrigued by the glass map, stepping carefully about he noted where things might have been where he lived. And other places he might want to visit... But one thing occurred to him... Where was he? This didn't seem like home, nor a normal dream, it was something else. His ears twitched a little as he soon turned to set eyes on a strange child, about his size it appeared. Though there was still something strange about them, something he couldn't quite place his finger on...
From the sounds of the 'child's' voice it sounded welcoming, but from his time alone, things weren't always as they appeared to be. But he couldn't think wrong as the many tones had fluttered through his head as he heard them, slowly forcing himself to answer.
"Thank you." He said after what seemed like an eternal silence on his part, many questions he had, but not the will to ask them at that moment...

S/he smiles at Page, floating down until their feet touch the ground. After having come down from the air, it is obvious that the child is smaller than they appear, coming only to chest height on the cockatoo zahdl.
"I apologize for bringing you here so suddenly," they say, smiling sheepishly. "I realize it may be somewhat shocking, and that certainly was not my intention. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions, Page?

Page had watched the 'child' float down to where its feet could touch the ground. He blinked a few times before noting that it was smaller then even him. Could he have grown that much to have someone 'smaller' then him? He had been the smallest for as long as he knew... Shaking that thought from his mind he merely watched in silence before speaking again.
"It's alright I guess, nothing stranger could have happened like earlier." He half joked thinking about the dark room he had fled earlier that day. "I don't mind if you ask me questions." he nodded a bit puzzled on what he could be asked and how he would answer.

"Wonderful!" the child cries gleefully, clapping their hands together. They back up a few paces and appear to sit on an invisible chair, although they're probably just floating again.
"There are many unusual places in Avryn," the child agrees, nodding. "Some are natural, while others result from the force of living beings."
"So tell me," the child says, tone lightening," what has been your favorite thing on Avryn thus far?"

That was sure to be an easy question to answer. Though at the moment, Page was fascinated on how this child could float as it did. Taking his mind off that he pondered over the way he was to answer the question, it seemed pretty straight forward. His favorite thing on Avryn was the cliffs and the caves that could well possibly be beneath them, much like his own home.
"I would have to say the cliffs, where I can feel the winds from all directions. And how the rain runs off them like mini waterfalls." He nodded, giving small reasons he felt were needed, "They are also fun to explore and search for treasures." He remembered the arrow head he had stashed under his bed.

"The cliffs certainly are majestic," the child says sagely, nodding in agreement. Their gaze wanders to the stained glass depiction of said area, near their feet.
"They've been there for quite a long time, so I'm sure that there's plenty for you to find," they say, smiling gently. "What, do you think, would be the most exciting thing you could find?

Page looked down at the glass beneath his feet and at the cliffs he just so happened to be standing over. What would make him most excited to find? Well if not finding other old things to keep as his own, he didn't rightly know. He was sure there were other caves in the cliffs he could explore, hopefully none are tombs he would have to remain away from...
"Well earlier I had found an old cave that was littered with strange stone knives and things. That was pretty exciting. I supposed finding other new places would also be exciting." He nodded, "Given that there weren't tombs or anything holding bones connected to the places." At this he shivered.

The child laughed softly, amused.
"I take it that you are not fond of death-related things?" s/he smiled as they spoke, shaking their head. "I can certainly see why, not many people are. Although, there are some who are fascinated by such artifacts and places. To each their own, as they say."
"So, as my final question for now, do you believe that anything is worth dying for?"

Page flinched slightly at the thought of the 'tomb' he had wandered into, blindly. Though this last question kinda struck him hard. Was there anything worth dying for? Well it would have to depend...
"That's... It would have to depend, sure I would die if it would save a friend's life as I'm sure they would do for me." He was puzzled, it was something that he wasn't quite sure of. "Anythings worth dying for if it's for the right purpose." Page nodded finally, hoping that he just hadn't completely kied himself in the own tail feathers.

"Of course, it is much more desirable to live than to die for any reason. Nobody should have to sacrifice themselves. However, it is nice to know what is important to you," the child says, smiling comfortingly.
"Thank you for putting up with me." The child stood up from their floating seated position, placing their feet back on the floor. "I believe that it is about the time that you should be waking up."

Page blinked at the last statement from the strange child, was it morning already? Couldn't have been, he had just fallen asleep hadn't he? Shaking his head he couldn't believe that this all happened all night long when it seemed to take only minutes, not hours.
"Your welcome?" Page said as he watched the child stop floating, "Don't suppose this will be the only meeting?" He asked just once as sounds of the 'real' world echoed about him as his mortal form had started to stir. Distantly he could hear Cosmic's snoring... "I doubt he'll ever stop that." Page sighed to himself as his dream had started to fade...

"Oh, I've heard more obnoxious," the child giggled. "If you run into Shion at any point, ask him about the bulldog incident."
"We shall meet again," the child agreed, a promise in their voice. "Although it may not be soon, I certainly wish to meet up with you at another time. And so shall it be."
"May good fortune grace your path," s/he says softly, smiling gently.
And the world fades to light....

Page only looked at the child in shock about a 'bulldog'? He had only vaguely heard about them from Cosmic. But he was still sure it was a creature he wished not to see, being that he would like to keep his tail feathers in one place. Though he nodded as the child faded and the world about him faded as he stretched his arms, kicking the blanket from where it lay with a clawed foot.
"See you again then." he smiled as the last remnants of the dream faded and he elbowed Cosmic, making the cat hisses... "Do mind, Not doing that?" Page yawned as the child's last words still fluttered though his head like little butterflies upon the summer breezes.
Cosmic yawled and gave the still groggy bird a glare before rolling over, folding his wings again to his sides. "Well pardon a cat for 'trying' to sleep." He half hissed, half yawned, thud brining Page to laugh, though it was silent...

And as you wake up, all is well...though not quite, perhaps, as you had left it....
