So does anyone else feel like doing a total rewrite of their story? I've taken a week break from the characters but now I feel ready to retell the story better. Cut a few dead weight people out, condense or delete some scenes and expand others.
My story would probably be cut down to only 25k but then I could continue it to the ending I had in mind in the first place.

I'm already rewriting my story. I had planned to just fix spelling and grammar mistakes, but now I'm actually expanding the story instead of making the word count smaller. >__o

I'm still waiting a few more days, since I didn't finish my novel until a few days after December first.
I tried to start editing, and I sure did cut and chop though X.x
My novel didn't make it to 50k, but if I rewrite it, it might. I originally wrote it without knowing where it was going, but now that I know where it went, I can make the novel better. -shrug-

Let me be the first to say: no. I refuse to even look at the crap-tastic masterpiece again. Besides, I put it up on Fiction Press, completely unedited, and asked people to have fun pointing out all the faults and shortcomings that they could.
I didn't even touch up the parts I knew were horrible!
I'll look back on this someday and laugh my carcass off, I just know it.
