His paws were hung over the rock he lay in the most relaxed way- almost noodlelike the way they hung over each other and twisted. With his head over the other side he let out a low snore. Ah this was the life. Sun on my belly, no birds in the sky to make noise. A lynx could get used to these types of things. He lifted a paw to scratch his nose half-heartly. Then as soon as he finished it had reclined at his side with a soft thump. Again the snoring resumed, this time though his mouth was half hung open. His tounge lolling with each breath. And if he wasn't lazy enough a small string of drool was now starting to escape from one side. If anyone had passed by they would have derterminded he was probally one of the worlds most pittful and or lazy creature they've ever seen. That or be extremly jelous by his ample amount of free time to do nothing.

No birds, that was the problem. The black tribal male had heard that they were a good food source if you could catch one. Honestly the old warrior was beginning to become frusterated to the point of catching some other small game and putting feathers on it to present it as a bird to his mate and puppys. The noises of another animal caught his ear though, not a wolf.. A.. Feline? Of some kind.. Whatever it was, he had to check it out. Coming up to the source he cocked his head to the side, what on Earth? The colors... The patterns... The sleeping position. Crouching low he watched curiously for a couple of minutes, sizing it up incase it caught on and was agressive.

Wind was anything BUT agressive. Something would have to SERIOUSLY bite the feline in the butt for him to even think of moving from the position he was in. Again there was a pause in his breath, then another loud ringing snore. No wonder the birds were all gone. His nose alone was enough to scare them all away. And for those dumb enough not to be scared away by his grunting and drooling- would soon vanich once they learned he was a lynx.
With a flutter in one eyelid his nose had picked up something he hadn't smelled in a long time. Wolf maybe... His mind seamed to sing as if he was still in mid dream. No matter he didn't smell agression on him. Hunger maybe, fustration? But not agression. Shame if he had food prehaps he might have woken from his slumber. But being he didn't his lid clamped tightly shut as he seamed to pass right back out into sleepland.

Peering his silver eyes over a rock at the snoozing feline, Ajax too sensed no agression and advanced out of pure curiosity. Slowly and silently the muscular oiled machine crept closer until he could get a better look. What the hell was that? From not being around these lands, he had no idea what this strange animal was.
Not a big cat of any kind, it was smaller than a lion. But what... This would surely be a think his daughters would love to hear about, but there had to be more.

Again there was that smell. It seamed to be all around him now. Sigh I knew it was too good to be true. He then seamed to roll over to one side and parted another eyelid reveiling his bright blue eyes. Just as he thought it was a wolf. But as this dawned on him so did the sliver of saliva hanging out of his mouth. With a quick paw he ran it over his face once or twice to clean himself. Then again it seamed to drop with a thud; then with a quick shift placed his head ontop of his paws to get a better look at this annoyance who woke him up.
"Lo, who may I say woke me from my nap?"
His mouth moved ever so slowly with his own pang of fustration. He wasn't agressive- just annoyed.

"I'm Ajax... Who and what may I ask are you?" He spoke slowly incase the creature had trouble's understanding, it sort of seemed a little retarded with the drooling and such.

A fustrated look spread over his maw as the other thought he was handycapped or something. He was lazy but that was about the extent of it. Almost mocking he spoke back just as slow thinking maybe the other was the one that was REALLY retarted.
"I'm Windwaker...most call me wind..."
He paused again, wait had the other just asked him WHAT he was? That proved it- he must have been retarted. "I'm a lynx...Lllllyyyyynnnnnxxxx." He almost had the urge to say 'Come on say it with me...Lllllllyyyyyyynnnnnxxxxx' But he felt he might have been pushing the limit had he done that. Even if he was almost the same size as the other he had no want to fight. Not because he didn't like fighting. It was just he'd have to expend so much useful energy to do it...and that was pointless in Wind's mind.

Obviously it wasn't as retarded as the wolf had thought. With a little twitch of his nose as he was mocked, he said nothing for he deserved it.
"Ah, my appologies. I'm not from around these lands. I've never seen a lynx before. You're a feline?" He asked circling Wind to better take him in as if a fine statue on display that there was going to be a test on later.

"I can tell." She said as he sat up on his haunches. There was something about this other guy that was starting to eat on his nerves. Prehaps the way he circled him or the way he spoke- but it was not appealing to his better side.
"If you wouldn't mind could you stop walking around me like I was your next meal."
He rose a brow as his voice seamed to drip with distain. Hadn't the other heard of manors? You don't just walk up to a guy and stiff his butt. Expecially if it was between lynx's and wolves. The two just didn't seam to naturally get along as some of the other creatures might. That he thought must of gone back to breeding he supposed. Canids and Felines never really liked each other from the start...but then again this guy was just plain annoying.
"And yes I'm a feline." He closed one of his eyes as he took a yawn.

Stopping Ajax realized how much of a fool he was acting and stopped in his tracks.
"Right, appologies." The entire structure of his body and speech changed back into his normal ways, responsible and slightly authoritative to strangers. This was nothing more than a new (to him) breed of a lazy tom cat and that's how he acted towards it now.

"Thank you." He quickly put into place as soon as the other stopped racing around him. He felt like that weasel from that song. Finally starting to relax once again he slouched back down on his rock so he was once again reclined. He didn't really see any need to sit up. The wolf didn't deserve his respect just because he was a wolf. He would have to earn it- and so far he was in the shallow end of the pool with all his foolish behavior.
"So Ajax. What brings you to my neck of the woods?"
He raise a brow and looked at him. If he had never seen a lynx before he apparently was VERY far from his homeland considering Lynx were nearly everywhere.
