I am a born again Christian and my friend believes that wicca is a religion.
She thinks that without wicca Christianity would never be and how wicca has nothing to do with demonic spirits or satan even if i told her and showed her that it is evil. I dont know how i can at least convince her that wicca is not a religion and it is wrong.
please help if u can

Hmmmm... wow, that is a toughy...
Just try to show her evidence from the Bible, (and if she doesn't believe that, other sources...) that Christianity has nothing to do with Wicca. Maybe you should search it on the internet? Check it out, find out more about it, and you can be better prepared to fight it. blaugh

Well, it IS religion actually. Any set of beliefs is a religion, but you have a right to worry about her. God calls for us to have none higher than him, making wicca blaphomous. Wicca and Christianity are pretty much unrelated though. Granted, the Bible talked about early pagan practices and that kind of stuff but that paganism isn't even related to wicca. Wicca evolved primarily out of Eurpoe I believe and the only really similarity we have it that some of our holidays fall on pagan holidays. That's because the early church was trying to convert the pagan though, thye figured they were already celebrating something, why not making it Christianity?
If I was in your situation, the way I see it there's not much to do. Be vocal about what you believe when the opportunity is presented and pray that maybe some day she'll see the goodness you have found. You can't make a person change their beliefs, you can only open them to new opportunities.

The idea that without Wicca, Christianity wouldn't be is ridiculous. Wicca is the newest religion on the market.
By Wiccan standards, it's worship of the all encompassing Lord and Lady, the female and male sides of God. That's all it really is, to them.
Look up Gerald Gardner, and some of his books. wink

Though I encourage learning about othr religions- it promotes tolerance, that kind of stuff.
