She had only barely left the desert after meeting with Uuo and Meilin, and already she had succeeded in part one of her mission! When she spotted the black cat on the horizon, she knew she was in luck. Still, she approached with caution. Hers was not the only scent of lion in the area, there were others, coming, going, older and newer. Tahara was NOT interested in becoming a snack for a passing predator and the would be recipient of her message.

Ducking behind a rock, Tahara used it for cover and cautiously peered up over it's edge, then climbed onto it to get a better glimpse at what they might be in the middle of...

While the hare slunk around the presence of the two lions ahead- another creature stalked slowly in the midst. Slick and black like tar, it rested on the rock, its jade green eyes all but lifelessly focused on the black cat before them. It had followed the pair from the desert and continued to follow still. But when the hare caught its sights- the creature rose up from the rocky depths. It contorted for a moment, a slow fan extending out around its skull like a dark halo. Finally some dinner.

The cobra slunk across the rock and whisked by the stones. He liked the feeling of the still stone- warm on his belly, but rough on his itchy scales. Time soon to rid himself of this skin- perhaps having a nice fat little hare in his stomach would aide in that process.

She was cautious- and he had to dart around before the other took notice. But he was a talker- and it was hard to keep his mouth shut for long. Surely the hare wouldn’t run towards the lions- and as it seemed, he had her boxed. “What a terrible mistake to make-!” Nag hissed, the sleek serpent sliding into view. “To sandwich yourself between two foes, you silly hare.”

Elsewhere, No looked toward Kidondo, and perked her ears. The rogue lands dampered before them and soon ahead, the desert. “It’s about time we started to head inward.” She mused, looking out towards the sands. “The others should be around in a few days.”

"You're right. We have to be there before they arrive. Can't let them beat us and recieve no welcome what-so-ever to their new home." He purred, slunk up beside her and rubbed his muzzle up under her chin. "I suppose I'm just worried about getting their too early, waiting for them to arrive is going to play hell on my nerves."

It was safe to say that his spirits had risen slightly since the last couple of days. Maybe it was the fact that he was almost home, the scent of the desert strong in his nostrils. It was comforting to say the least. It reminded him of everything he felt dear about, reminded him of why he was putting his life at risk. And not just his life, but the lives of all those who followed him.

His eyes went to No and he knew, from that glint in her eye that she would never fall. She was as determined as him, her ambition matched and connected with his own. If that flame of desire remained, how could they lose? He only hoped that when things were done and dusted, his moods wouldn't keep swinging like this! One moment he was drowning in despair and the next...he felt on top of the world.

Ah... cuddling, that looked harmless enough to interrupt if she greeted them right, however, before she had a chance to move, the sound of an unexpected danger came up on her from behind. Tahara turned wide eyes to stare up at the cobra, almost immediately freezing on the spot.

There was just enough space between them for her to make one desperate move, though, and she took it as instinct suddenly slammed into her, screaming at the top of it's lungs for her to RUN for the love of self-preservation.

"NO!!" She shouted, though if this was to address the lioness, or a futile protest to deter her stalker, wasn't clear at first. She quickly rectified this as she cleared the rock and bolted towards the lions. "No! Kidondo! A little help?!"

Surely random food wouldn't know the names of two predators, hopefully they'd notice, since Tahara was a bit too panicked to explain herself right aways.
