The Marketplace - closed for refurbishment.
The Games Room - demolished and ready for a new subject area.
The Film & Anime Lounge - demolished and ready for a new subject area.
What I want from you guys, and it must be a general vote (though there's no poll yet), is for you to show an interest in a particular subject/forum name and to think about what the main purpose of it could be, and to see if you can come up with ideas for subforums as well. Please note, a Fantasy Art Gallery won't happen. There's only so much that can be discussed, and besides, the Artist's Studio isn't used very much and the Fantasy Art Gallery hasn't been used since I created it a few months ago (besides the post Jasta made the other day).
One idea I've had is
The Undercroft/Catacombs.
Now, in reality, a place like this is a tomb for important burials. So, how could this work? Discussing deceased fantasy characters who we'd deem extremely important and like a lot? I'm not sure, but that's one idea for a subforum that we could use. We'd just need some specific purposes for it.
I need ideas from you guys.

Right! I'm gonna really give this some thought but it's probably gonna take a while for a good idea to come to me... I like yer idea Mel! There have been some characters that seem to have died out without much as a memorial or anything. Some were in oblivion but they've actually returned somehow. For example, Underdog was a concept I had completely forgotten about and yet, there's a movie about it now! And a live action movie no less. I'd like to see more from the "Thundercats", those count as fantasy, do they not? neutral I used to love them but they seem to be dead now. 3nodding

I'll try to think of some new ideas for the subforums but I like your idea. I think there could be alot to discuss in a subforum like that.

Catacombs could also be a place where we could discuss darker aspects to history and fantasy. smile

Now we just need to think about what to do with the Games Room and Marketplace. The Games Room can be turned into something else, but the Marketplace simply needs a good structure.

Proposed alterations for the Library and Storeroom.

As the person nominally in charge of the Library, I'm open to any ideas; just having it as a repository for lists of folks' fave books or writers sounds like a database, not a lively forum of discussion. smile Maybe we need a contest or something... I'll give it some thought.

I just think that we need to have forums that are going to be used. A book thread will probably be most beneficial and it can be posted somewhere like the Tavern.
