There is a terrible trend on the forums. People are bashing Jesus and Christianity (that happens everywhere). The problem is we Christians are not doing anything about it and worse, the ones who are are not doing things in a loving and productive manner.
As Christians it is our duty to spread the gospel, but in a loving way. Yes it's great to have a Christian forum where we can build ourselves up in faith together, but we cannot hide away from confrontation here. I feel like God wants us to go into the forums and spread truth.
Let's do it in a righteous manner.

Whatever you do, people are still going to bash Christianity. They won't care what you say. Trust me, I've tried.

The best way to live a christian life is to live it, be an example.
Let them bash, eventually the others who are doing things the wrong way will stop and they won't have anyone else to piss off. Then they get bored and go and bash something else.

Well i agree the bashing is uncalled for and rather rude and hurtful, but prehaps pushing a faith is'int the best idea, as christians we are supposed to be loving to everyone nomater what they say how they make us feel or what they believe. so dont just stand by and take the bashing, stick up for your religion , but do it in a manner that is non intrusive and carring showing Jesus' love.

I agree with Bell. Pushing your/our religion isn't really going to solve anything. The only thing that it will do is give them more reason to bash us. Trust me, for years I was the one who did the bashing (not on gaia...at least not all the time) for years.

Yes, there will always be 'bashing' but there are some people, or rather, 'christians' that really just fight back. And not even with cursing words or anything, but even when some are evangelizing or spreading 'The Word' they just start bumping heads with the non-believers. This is what gives us Christians teh reputation for being 'relentless' and 'annoying' so if you would like to prevent frequent 'bashing' try not to fight, and speak with your fellow Christians also about not bumping heads with others.
Now, I am not saying that you shouldn't try to challenge people, but after you have stated your point and they continuously try to pick at you and get you to fight back, regardless of who it is, you should just say "sorry you feel that way, I love you, and God loves you, I am here for you." And walk away.

People are aggressive to God and Christianity because they have been hurt by the church and its memebers. People are always pulling holier than thou and pulling out rules that never existed plus look at all the hypocrites. They have their reasons... our job is to love them anyways... so respond yes, but in love.

The hardest thing about spreading the word on the computer, is that it's easier to misunderstand cruelty and loving. All you have to do is mis-phrase something and it can be taken the complete wrong way! This is a worthy goal, but don't get to excited about it and write carelessly. When witnessing to others, be sure what you write will be easily understood by the reader and not mistaken for being pushy.
