.:Welcome to Camp:.

There's something strange about Camp Blackwood. Not your normal summer camp, gross bathrooms, unidentifiable lunch, monster living in the lake-type strangeness either. The counselors are disturbingly perky, the staff defensive, the nurse mysterious and beautiful, and a screen of trees blocks the cabins from the main buildings. This could be a coincidence. Or there could be something evil at work.

It also seems that few were shipped here of their own accord. Parents who never let their teenagers leave the house are suddenly sending them to camp for July, although the release form was decidedly strange: "I the undersigned allow my son/daughter to receive medical attention from the camp nurse and will not sue Camp Blackwood for any ill effects/death resulting from the aforementioned medication." Odd way to phrase a release form, don't you find?

No matter. You're tra - I mean, staying here now, whether you like it or not. Do try not to get hurt, or you'll be sent to the nurse. Don't worry though, she only has your best interest at heart. You just don't know it yet.

.:Camp Guidelines:.

o1. Don't start off the roleplay with everyone getting hurt, okay? That's ridiculous.

o2. Once you've been hurt however, you can go to the nurse, who I will be playing. I'll send you a PM with vital info concerning your check-up that will be divulged later.

o3. Fighting is okay, and romance is great (especially if there's lots of drama), but keep them both PG-16. Also, no auto-hits.

o4. Follow other Gaia/Guild rules.

o5. Try to include loners.

o6. Don't suddenly figure everything out when you get a check-up. It's not realistic and you don't know everything.

o7. No perfect people. People who think they're perfect or thinking someone else is perfect is fine.

o8. Stay out of the supply shed.

o9. Cabin 13 is supposedly haunted. Why else would they have a cabin 13?

10. Rule o9 is a lie.

11. Enjoy yourselves. I reserve the right to add more rules.

.:Lost. Come Find Me?:.

Camp Entrance
- here you will find three buildings. The furthest to the left is the Cafeteria, where you will also see the supply shed. In the middle is the camp hall, where the counselors live upstairs. To the right is the nurse's office. Just in case anything goes wrong.

Path - this leads through the trees that seperate the cabins from the main camp. It leads around the camp hall and to a fire pit where cook-outs are held occasionally. To the east are the girl's cabins, to the west, the boys. There are six cabins total, and they may hold two people each. You'll be assigned a cabin.

The Rope Swing - high up in a tree near the river (to the east). The rope is hidden, so you'd have to climb up to see it. You'd also have to have the guts to swing to the other side. I'll tell you what you'll find.

Likes: Drawing, Reading, Writing, Computers, Candy, Girls, his iPod, Cute Animals, Orange Soda
Dislikes: Camp, Buses, Most Boys, Condiments, Vegetables, Exercise
Personality: Henry's pretty shy, more into independent things than organized camp activities, and he won't go out and seek friends. As such he can be hard to get to know. Though he doesn't often let on, he can be pretty sweet and kind.
Background: Nothing much. He grew up in a suburb where most people found him weird. He's pretty smart, getting mostly B's.
Property Of: Princess Mandy

Name: Rain Raccio
Age: 17
Appearance:User Image
Likes:Writing, horses, swimming, steak, chocolate, Pepsi, ice cream, drawing, romantics, heroics, puppies, boys, fruit
Dislikes: Confined areas, not being able to get air, TV, duck tape, veggies
Personality: Cold and callus one minute loving and caring the next it doesn't take much for Rain to shift moods especially in the presence of people she finds threatening. Open minded to most things she hates people who are afraid to be themselves.
Background: Born to a seemingly perfect family, her parents both worked 9-5 she was a straight A student she never had problems. Shows what they knew. Born into a family of alcoholics she avoided and hated her parents. Starting drinking at a young age her parents would beat her but knew better than to hit where bruises could be seen leaving her with scars on her back and stomach. The final straw for both her and her parents was when she was actually caught stealing so they sent her away to camp so they could try and find a relative to claim her or a lawyer who would emancipate her. She spent her last week at home screaming herself hoarse while locked in a wooden chest within the attic.
Property Of: copyright 1990

Name: Cameron Wilson
Age: 17
Appearance:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Likes: Girls, friends, video games (mostly RPG), light reading, soda, chips, candy, other assorted junk foods, wolves, sports, TV
Dislikes: Quiet people, extremely smart or intelligent people, healthy foods, smelling bad or bad smells, bugs (especially spiders), gross food, unsanitary places
Personality: Cameron can be rather rambunctious. As soon as he gets to know a person, he can be really carefree and open with them. He can be brutally honest if he wants to and feels that it is in order, but he can also be very sensitive and caring for other people. Most people approach him to become his friend rather than the other way around, but if he feels like it he can reach out to someone to try and get them to talk. He also gives up on things easily and really dislikes hard work, though he stills gets Cs and Bs in school for the most part. His parents spoil him, but he's not snobby.
Background: Cameron lives in a mansion in the suburbs with his rich parents, who never seem to have much time for him. Though they support him and his ambitions, but they're never really there for him. At school he was popular with lots of friends and girlfriends who came and went. He never bought his friends, but rather gained them through one circumstance or another, as well as lost them in the same way. His last week spent at home was spent packing his enormous amount of luggage, then being told that he'd have to get rid of over half of it by his maid. Seeing his parents off consisted of one stiffly given a hug before they went and shipped him off on the bus that smelt sweaty already. If the camp was under his standards, he would deal with it.

Dislikes: Anything dirty in both senses, insects, the dark, getting in trouble.

Property Of: Princess Mandy

Name: Isabella "Belle" Linkletter
Age: 17
Appearance:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Likes: Make-up, boys, clothes, jewelry, friends, gossip, causing trouble, having fun, healthy foods, mirrors, drawing, laughing, smiling, romance, people fawning over her, small animals, cleanliness, flowers, flirting, expensive things, fancy places, sausage, bananas, strawberries, salads, fuzzy or furry things, cuddling, warmth, getting written something, poems, most music, singing, dancing
Dislikes: Being alone, stingy people, reptiles, bad food, dirt or mud, blood, bugs, exercise, fast food, fish, extremely talkative people, ugly people, little kids, pain, sickness or germs, cheap things, darkness, quiet, mopey people, overly happy people, eggs, cold people, the cold, mustard, olives, walnuts, rapping, hard rock or heavy metal music, mean people, tests or assessments
Personality: Isabella can be somewhat of a snob sometimes, and is a bit vain and demanding. However, in more recent years she has discovered that people don't like that very much, and has changed her ways, at least a bit. She still thinks herself more beautiful than some, but she tries not to express it as much. Belle is used to people coming to her and trying to be her friend, and is therefore usually popular between normal people of both genders. She likes working in groups, as she can talk more, and it is easier for her to get things done. Isabella usually judges people by her first impression of them. If she likes them, she can be loving and friendly. Likewise, she can be harsh and cold to them if she doesn't. However, it can be very easy to sway her opinion of someone. She loves to cause trouble for older people, and stir up people. Belle gets mostly B's in school, though she does have an A in art class, and usually does badly on her tests. She also finds it hard to listen to something that bores her.
Background: Isabella got almost everything she wanted from her parents when she was young, and loves them very much. They spend a lot of time with her, and she can't understand why they would send her off to camp, though they had said something about her not paying enough attention. Both of them support her ambitions to become either an artist, singer, or actress. In the past she has been fawned over by many boys, but was usually rather picky about who she chose as her boyfriend, not wanting to get hurt. Belle is very popular in her school and her dance classes.

Name: Victor Scarfe
Age: Seventeen
Appearance: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Likes: Music, being outside, talking, clothes, cartoons, candy.
Dislikes: Hospitals, Airplanes, crickets, clowns, milk, seafood.
Personality: Vic is a very outgoing and carefree kid. He doesn't care what anyone says about him, as long as they don't insult his friends. He can have a very short temper, but it all depends on what you're pestering him about. He doesn't like to be alone, and he is terrified of hospitals or anything medical.
Background: He lived with his mother when he was growing up, because his dad left when he was young because of his work. He had to travel every other day, and he found it would be easier if he just moved away where he wouldn't have to travel anymore, but that meant not being able to see his family. Vic saw his dad on rare occasions, but he was always nice to Vic whenever he did. He had a great childhood and had many friends. His mom, however, was protective of him since his father was always gone. She didn't want anything to happen to him, so she always kept him inside, although he didn't like all of the stuffy air. Now, being 17, his mother decided to send him to a camp even though she was so protective of him. . .

Name: Miranda Milanes
Age: 17
Appearance: User Image
Likes: Music, Playing piano/guitar, Going online, Parties, Kittens
Dislikes: School, Being bored, Parents
Personality: Miranda is a very mysterious girl, usually she refuses to tell anyone about her traumatizing past. She has trouble trusting others, and is pretty much an independent girl. She is known to be a wild party animal, and (if available) can drink excessively.
Background: As a young child Miranda's father has always violently abused her, physically and mentally. When her mother gets home in the afternoon from work, she ignores the visible bruises on Miranda. As years past she has learned to trust no one but herself. In school she was always picked on because she was anti-social. During her years in high school she would skip school and attend parties with her little group of misfit friends. One evening Miranda's mother came home early to find out that her daughter was having a wild party at her own house. Her mother grounded her as a result. Miranda's mother never allowed her to leave the house, therefore forcing her to drop out of school and be shunned out from her group of friends. Later Miranda's mother decided to send her to Camp Blackwood, where, as she says, "can learn a lesson from the lovable couselors".

A dark-haired woman stood at the window of the nurse's office. She wore a white pinstriped pantsuit with a black cami underneath and red heels. There was a smile on her scarlet lips. "And so it begins," she said in a soft voice as she watched a bus pull up before the camp hall. She turned away from the window and looked around her office. It was full of medical supplies - bandages, ointments, bottles of aspirin and other pills, syringes. "Welcome to Camp Blackwood," she said aloud, though there was no one to hear her, crossing her arms. Her nametag clipped to her jacket read, "Dr. Christina Jenkins."

Henry groaned almost inaudibly as the bus taking him to his impending doom (otherwise known as summer camp) screeched to a halt. He ran a hand through his smooth black hair as he stood up to leave. Henry was the first one out - he grew severely ill during such winding bus drives through the mountains, so had taken a seat at the front. He was greeted by a pile of suitcases, duffel bags, pillows, and sleeping bags. "Great," he said sarcastically, rolling his blue eyes. "Just what I need." However, he resigned himself to search through the small mountain of luggage to find his things. So far, camp was exactly as he had expected it to be - miserable. He didn't understand why his parents had sent him to this place in the first place. Sure, he wasn't well-liked or anything, but at least he got good or decent grades. They hadn't sent him to camp since the 6th Grade Field Trip. He hadn't done so well - he got poison oak on the hike, fell off his canoe, and suffered exactly twenty-one bug bites. But they didn't care about that, did they? He sighed.

Sitting alone in the back of the bus, Rain had her feet up on the chair next to her trying to avoid all those who wished to ask her name or make small talk and with a few small exceptions it had worked fairly well. As the bus slowed she yawned sitting up not completely thrilled with where she was but ecstatic about where she wasn't. Having spent the past week locked up in an old chest had made her muscles stiff and given her a general dislike for any enclosed area sparking a lively debate when she told one poor boy she was jumping out the emergency escape if he ever spoke to her again. When the buss rolled to a stop she jumped up heading for the door shocked to see someone had actually beaten her out. Looking around the area she wondered if all she needed had been packed considering it had been done for her when she was locked up. While she rolled her shoulders she looked around asking aloud to no one in particular, "Ok... So this is camp..." she sighed "This is going to suck." As she tried to take in the whole area she looked at the buildings with a mix of dislike, mild interest, and uncaring.

Cameron didn't mingle much with his bus-mates. The ones sitting next to him didn't seem to be very talkative anyways. He could smell the reek of mixed perfumes and body odor laid heavily in the air. This was what he got for having a sensitive nose. Finally the squeaky death trap lurched to a stop and the boy sitting next to him darted off the bus. Hurriedly, Cameron followed, hoping to beat the crowd to the mountain of luggage unsuccessfully. Teenagers were scrambling all over it. In the midst of this, Cameron scanned the crowd, looking for his own bags among the throng of more trashy looking ones. His eyes seemed to zone in upon one bag, being tossed aside roughly by another camp attendee. He rushed forward to get it before his belongings were completely destroyed. Well, this would be fun.

A couneslor came up to the campers. "Alrighty!" she said, her blonde ponytail swinging. She jabbed her clipboard with a heart-adorned pencil. "My name's Clarissa. Let's see, we have..." She glanced at the pictures then up at the campers who had already retrieved their things. "Cameron and Henry in cabin B1... Rain, you'll be in G1... Odori's with you, I don't see her yet... Would you like me to direct you?" she asked, beaming, though there was a sign with directions directly behind her.

Henry pretended to be very absorbed with getting the zipper on his duffel bag just right. He didn't want to be the first one to burst this over-hyped counselor's bubble. What kind of coffee does she drink? he thought, shaking his head in disbelief. Henry glanced at the other guy who'd be sharing his cabin. Cameron looked tall, athletic, and from his clothes, rich. Great; he was stuck with Mr. Popular. Oh, the irony. He also took a quick look at Rain - girls could take curiousity the wrong way. He couldn't tell exactly what kind of person she was yet. Girls were always a little more difficult.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 10, 2007 5:15 pm

Rain had been pushing dirt around with her foot when she heard her name being paired with a word. Looking up, "Huh?" she asked snapping back into the real world before it sank in, "Oh sure and can I have two of whatever your on cause no one is that happy naturally." Not even realizing what was coming out of her mouth Rain didn't believe filters were for people the only things filters belonged on was coffee and cigarettes. Looking over the councilor she raised an eyebrow, So this is what I am trapped here with? I hope everyone isn't on her happy pills. she thought with a thoughtful look risking falling into her own world again before she caught someone in the corner of her eye. Turning to look for a second she glanced at him before turning away. It was so easy for people to get the wrong idea these days.

Cameron grabbed his other bags while the counselor was talking. Perky, very perky - he had no immediate comment on this. So he was to be paired with this Henry person, eh? He looked him over out of the corner of his eye. Dark hair, piercings, dead silent and exactly the kind of person that he didn't hang out with. With a sigh he took a sweeping look over the rest of the campers. Rain, was that the girl's name? She seemed to be negative on just about everything, from the look of her. At least, that was his first impression. Cameron sighed, looking back to the counselor and swinging his bags over his shoulders, holding onto the straps with his hands.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 12, 2007 5:17 pm

The counselor's smile froze for a moment, a little uncertain how to react to Rain's comment. She settled for busting out in laughter. "Ahahaha! You are so funny!" she said, making a waving gesture as if to say 'Oh stop, you're just too much!' As she laughed her eyes shut as if she were trying very hard to be adorable. Then she became more serious. "However, we don't approve of discussion of drugs or other risky behaviors at the camp, so please refrain from further comment."

Henry felt no surprise at Rain's question. He was thinking along those lines himself. However, his mouth twitched at Clarissa's delayed reaction. Okay, so maybe if this Rain girl kept pushing the counselor's buttons the summer would be a little amusing if nothing else. After a moment of silence, Henry spoke. "Well... I think I'll head to the cabin now. Not that I'm not having fun," he said sarcastically. He dragged his several bags with difficulty - he didn't have much upper-arm strength. Or any strength for that matter.

"Okay, well, um, just put your things down and come back here I guess? 'Cause like, lunch is going to be served in five minutes," Clarissa said.

Cameron glanced again at Rain as her comment was rebutted by Clarissa. What kind of camp was this, really? Other risky behaviors...? Whatever that meant. He looked at Henry again, looking him over more throughly this time, and finding nothing he hadn't seen before except for his lack of muscles. With a chuckle muffled by his own hand, Cameron pointed two fingers towards his cabin, B1, indicating to the counselor and other campers that he was also leaving. He hesitated, wondering if he should engage in conversation with the teenager or not. Thinking for only a second, he decided that he would move much faster anyways, with him dragging his bags like that, and so how would they talk anyways? He heaved the bags more stably onto his shoulders and set off, walking past his new roommate.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 12, 2007 6:37 pm

Smiling at the counselor responded Rain muttered under her breath, "Damn guess I have to dump out my drugs in the nearest river along with all my 'risky' behavior clothes." Shaking her head she tried not to smile as she pulled her two book bags, one across each shoulder to take them with her to lunch still debating if it was easier to make a run for it and get picked up by the cops or endure it. Rain quickly choose the latter. She never liked the cops they always seemed to make her the bad guy compared to her parents in their careful disguises. Walking toward her cabin with an easy pace she called over her shoulder to Clarissa, "Oh does your previous comment include cigarettes and tank tops?" she asked with a mock innocence before turning her back and continuing on.

Odori waited until everyone had already filed off the bus before making her way out the garhisly yellow doors. It was so annoying really, the way everyone hurried to grab their belongings, as if the ground was going to swallow them whole. Really! Sighing, she finally made her way to the pile of bags and easily picked her black duffle bag from the bunch. There may have been a few similar to hers, but none could match the stick figure on the side that said, 'My mommy abandoned my in a dumpster.' It was always amusing the way people shied away from the small drawing. She glanced at the counsler, used to the perkyness from her own mother. That didn't stop her from making a smart a** comment however. "Hey Barbie girl! Got anymore of what you're on?" Smirking, she picked up her bag and began to make her way to the cabin. So her room mates name was Rain, huh? God, she hoped the girl wasn't a prep.

He quickly stepped off the bus, eager to get started so that the summer would be one day closer to over. Smirking, he made his way over to the pile of bags and easily picked his out from the rest. After all, it was probably the only on that wasn't of designer lable. As the counsler, ha, he couldn't even remember the ladies name, began to spout off information, he took the time to glance at the other campers. Two girls, three boys. The two girls looked like they might be able to get along alright, but then again, that was just judging on their clothing and comments. However, the other two boys did not seem compaitable at all. Well, at least that mean a little bit more fun... Smirking again, he turned to he counslor. "Hey lady! What about me?"
