The morning sun was warm on her golden fur, the heat causing Kule to be rather slow. She didn't feel like moving right now, especially since she knew her family was close by. Nothing had ever happened to the cub, and so she had no reason to fear for her safety. She was just lying on her sunning rock, in plain view. It would be very hard for someone to grab her without her mother or her father noticing. Still, there were six of them, which meant that they all couldn't be watched at the same time. Thus, Kule would open her little blue eyes very now again, just to make sure her family was still in sight.
With a wide yawn, the cub rolled onto her side, stretched out comfortably on the rock. Her family would be on the move again soon, but for now they were resting. It would be foolish of Kule not to take advantage of such a moment.

Black paws padded lightly over the ground their movement nearly silent. Green eyes while appearing to dance scanned the area before her eventually settling on the golden cub. Cocking her head ever so slightly, allowing her black hair tuff to fall across her eyes. A smile crossed her maw as she made her way over.
Kagami said nothing as she approached the young lion. She came to a stop a bit a ways away from the rock sitting down rather promptly while watching the other to see when she would be noticed. With her silent ways it might be a while but it was all up to Kule.
Flicking her tail behind her Kagami cast her glance up to the sky for a moment or two marveling the prettiness of it all.

Kule had let her thoughts wander, and so hadn't noticed that she had caught the interest of a certain purple lioness. Her thoughts were about her father, and how her step-by-step plan to make him "girl-friendly" wasn't going quite as planned. These days he spent most of his time doing other things, so she couldn't snag him for lessons. She had to go the subtler route, but that always took longer. Sigh. One day, he would be able to deal well with all these girls.
As the cub opened her eyes on another sweep, she caught sight of Kagami. It was hard not to see the purple lioness, seeing as she stuck out quite sharply against the savannah background. Kule blinked slowly at the new arrival, trying to decide if she was really a lion or if she was just seeing things. Well, she might as well say something. If it responded, then it was definitely real.
"Hullo," she chirped, half-sitting so she could get a better look at Kagami. She'd never seen a lioness that colour before. "I'm sorry I didn't see you sitting there. Are you looking for something?"

At the sound of the other's voice she turned her attention back to the other. Kagami nodded her head in greeting as she smiled brightly at the other. She didn't speak however which might have seemed a bit odd to the cub. Even though she didn't speak she responded to each and everything said, she shrugged at the others apology and shook her head at her question.
Then the purple lioness tilted her head with an almost questioning look upon her face. What's your name? she silently tried to asked the other hoping her message was easy enough to figure out. Still she didn't say a single word, whether she couldn't or just wouldn't wasn't clear at all.

The cub's ears perked when the lioness nodded to her, expecting a verbal response. When she didn't get one, Kule tilted her head. Did this lioness not speak? Perhaps when you were such strange colours you had problems speaking. Well, she wouldn't think badly of this funny-coloured lioness even if she could speak. It probably wasn't her fault anyways. Besides, Kule wasn't the type of cub to hold anything against anybody, especially if they were born that way. After all, there was nothing they could do.
"Not looking for anybody? That's okay. I'm Atakuwa'kule Mila, but everyone just calls me Kule. You can call me Kule too. Can you talk?" Kule knew she was full of questions, but she couldn't help it.

Kagami smiled brightly and bowed her head. It's a pleasure to meet you. the lioness tried to show the other what she wanted to say with her body movements. It was rather difficult to convey what you wanted to tell someone without words but this was a choice the brightly colored female had chosen long ago, back when she was a juve.
At the cub's last question she nodded indicating that she could speak. Why she didn't was probably a mystery to the other one that only Kagami, her brother and her close friend knew. Extending a claw she worked about writing her name in the ground so the other would at least know her name

Kule returned the bow, hoping that she was doing the right thing. She liked to make a good impression on any of the locales, seeing as her family was probably invading somebody else's territory. Ooh, she should ask this lioness! Even if she didn't talk, she seemed to be able to answer yes or no questions. Yes, she would ask this lioness if there was a pride near here. That way the cub could report back to her mother to tell her to be mindful of hunting parties.
Aaah, so she couldn't speak? Huh. Well, it wasn't as though Kule hadn't heard of such things. Still, it must be very awkward getting to know people. "Pleasure to meet you too. Are you from a pride around here?" That seemed like a tactful way to go about asking for pride information, but just in case she added, "Are there any prides around here?"

Kagami shook her head in reply to Kule's first question then she tilted her head at the second obviously pondering the second question. She lifted a paw to tap her chin as she thought about it. She hadn't spent too much time in this particular area of africa but she had seen large collections of lions and other species together and could only assume that they were what one would call a pride, either that or...a really really big family. Hesitantly she nodded at the other.
Thinking about it just a little longer she nodded with more confidence. Some of the lions looked similar but not all of them did meaning they couldn't possibly be related which only meant one thing. They had been a pride.
Yes, yes there is." she said silently with her nods but as for the name she had no idea.

Not from a pride around here? Well, it wouldn't make sense if she lived in a pride far far away, so Kule assumed that she was prideless. So was she, but she at least had her family. Five sisters and two parents was practically a pride, wasn't it? "I'd invite you to stay with us, but my dad doesn't really know how to deal with girls," Kule confided in the lioness, knowing that she wouldn't tell anyone. "He has six daughters too. It's sad sometimes, but I wouldn't want him to be stress out, you know?"
Oooh, so there was a pride around here? Hmm... well she had better start asking yes and no questions about it. "Was it big? Nod once if it, and nod twice if it was only medium sized."

Kagami shrugged smiling to show that it was alright. She took a few steps forward then to the left to try and say she was a traveler for now. She admit that it was a difficult motion to decipher but she didn't know how else to convey it. Then at Kule's next words she nodded to show she understood. That how she was around males when she was younger, now however it didn't matter much to her.
The purple lioness had to think about the size of the pride she had seen. It wasn't small but it wasn't big either, it was like it was just forming so she nodded twice. It was roughly medium sized.

Well, the lioness seemed to understand her father's predicament, if the smile meant anything. Sigh. Kule could only imagine how hard it would be to not be able to speak, especially since she likes to go out and talk to other felines. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, she wasn't picky. If they had stories to tell, she was there. The cub tilted her head at the next gesture, not entirely sure what the lioness was saying. "You move around a lot?" She tried, hoping that was right.
"Well, medium is okay I guess. Did they seem friendly to you?"

The smile remained upon her maw as Kule understood what she had been trying to convey. The cub before her was definitely a smart one that was for sure, her father was probably very proud, if he got over his girl problem. Kagami nodded confirming the first question before lifting a paw and tapping her chin then moved her head left and right.
So, so she said with her motions pretty sure that her actions were very clear at that point.

Kule hoped that her father eventually got over his little 'girl problem.' Even if it took a very long time, she knew she would continue her little step by step plan. She would ease him gently into the world of females for as long as he would allow it. Then maybe one day he would become girl savvy. The cub didn't feel the need to rush him into anything he wasn't ready for. If she needed support, she had her mother, not to mention five sisters. That was good enough.
"So you move around a lot? Do you go to any interesting places?" She would have really liked some details as well as to hear it from the lioness' point of view, but her new friend couldn't speak. Thus, she would have to just keep posing questions. "Well sort of friendly is okay. Better than really nasty. I've heard that some prides have really nasty members. Have you ever been to one of those?"

Yes Kagami nodded once in reply to the first question. Then she paused to think about the second question. She had been to many places with her brother and best friend and even when she left them to travel on her own. Most definitely she nodded furiously. She couldn't say no to that question, not with everything she'd seen. The ocean was the most amazing place she had ever been. The way the water lapped against the shores and cliffs sending salty spray everywhere was simply amazing.
Blinking she pulled herself from her thoughts and focused on the cub before her. Kagami wrinkled her nose before shaking her head. No. She had not been to a hostile pride. She had seen a hostile pack of hyenas before but she kept far from them. Thus she had never been to one of them.

So she moved around a lot and got to see interesting places? Awesome! "My family moves around a lot too. I hope I get to go to all the interesting places you've been!" Kule honestly didn't mind moving around with her family. It gave her a chance to meet some very interesting felines. She had met a cheetah from a musical pride on one of her social outings, which had prompted her to do more. And now she got to meet this interesting lioness. Life as a traveler was good.
"That's good you didn't meet any of the nasty ones." The young lioness paused to glance up at the sun. "I have to go back home before my mama gets worried. But thanks for talking to me!" Kule flashed Kagami a bright smile, before turning and heading back towards her family's den. What a story she would get to tell her sisters today! They would never believe her when she said she had met a lioness who couldn't talk.
