"....barracks, comrade?" Somewhere along the line, somehow, Kian had grown a sense of humor. His lips were twitching once more, just barely; it could be considered a nervous tic more then anything at the miniscule response. It was there, however, and that's all what mattered, right? "Agreed. Some were stored away just in case one of the numbers managed to dip themselves into a pool of cool water."
Kian reached up to the lanky man, putting that cowboy hat gently onto the short blue hair. "Let us go then, Tsu. I have been told you can get ill is you remain in wet clothing. I would not abandon you in your time of need." Another twitching expression and his head jerked slightly towards the door way for a split second before the cyclops was moving out of the kitchen. The party was still going on, chattering and movement and... people.
It was almost suffocating. Kian didn't much like crowds but this, surrounded by children and happy things, he couldn't find himself disliking it. Still, he was happy to reach the room dubbed 'the barracks', pulling the door open for himself and his comrade. It was.. cozy. Prehaps not the most welcoming of rooms but to a boy whose room consisted of wood and white sheets, it was comforting enough. Lissel would get her paws on it soon enough.
"Do you need a towel, Tsu?" Thats right Kian. Silly questions. "I can grab one for you."

The moment they got through the crowd of the party, Autsu began unbuttoning the damp cowboy shirt. The idea of a towel had obviously not occurred to him, as he immediately began using the balled up shirt to try his face. So Kian got a headshake and a smile from the now shirtless Autsu, who was at least distracted enough by his current condition to ignore the greater situation. Or perhaps he'd finally built up a partial immunity to Kian's presence.
Unlikely.
Glad for the relative silence of the bedroom, he leaned against the wall while attempting to fold the shirt he had so carelessly balled up only second before. Sussare had given it to him, he remembered. She wouldn't be pleased if he'd destroyed it just to prove himself Bob.
"I am not sure what I think of Gaian traditions." He admitted, from his new leaning standpoint. Cowboy boots, tight pants and a cowboy hat. No shirt. He looked like he was posing for a studs in spurs calender. If you know, their models were winged alien criminals.

Kian was not exactly sure why his mental processes cut themselves off at that moment but it was sure as shootin' lucky that Autsu had chosen not to speak. He had seen shirtless males before, in both worlds and in several different stages of growth. His eldest Sibling walked around with the bare minimum of clothing all day and never - but there he was. Autsu. Shirtless and leaning and folding.
If Kian was one thing, it was not Thinking. He was, however, Staring. He was not sure why and - what was he thinking? Doing? What?
The alien blinked a few times when Autsus words broke the silence; he reached up and tugged the blindfold off once he felt his eyelids brush against the cloth. He stood in silence before the words were able to assemble themselves in his head as he dragged the gaze from the pants and the.. skin. Autsu had eyes. Kian had a slight rush of relief once he found those again. Eyes were good.
"They are.. They are different. They appear harmless, as long as one does not drown themselves in the meantime."

Autsu wasn't stupid. Alright, hold up. Actually it's quite possible that Autsu was a least a little stupid. Well, lets call him... oblivious? Oblivious. Sure. So, Autsu was, admittedly, often oblivious, but he wasn't completely blind. And there had been the last time, the agreement to, well, whatever it was they'd agreed to. They'd agreed to something. He noticed those three eyes on him, noticed and pretended not to notice, met Kian's eyes as if there was no subtleties in the room to swim through. It was easier that way.
Best not to think, at least for now, of the before. Give Kian a chance to tell him where they stood. Had things changed, while he'd been away?
"I do not seem to have drown, though it is lucky that it was not a pool full of apples. I do not swim." It was an almost uncomfortable admission. It hadn't been true, before Gaia. He'd swam fine and strong before, when the form had allowed for it. He wasn't sure what one did with wings while swimming, though. They seemed marginally water proof, as feathers could be, but the structure of the wings themselves was a problem.
"Your trip was successful?" He asked, instead of pursing the subject further. He kept his eyes on Kian's as if by maintaining that contact, they might both prove themselves safe.

And now Autsu was looking at him, right after Kian had been looking at him. Autsu was not looking at the other dark alien in the manner Kian had been (he could not decide if that was a good or a bad thing) but there was looking. It took all of Kians willpower to not look away, then. His time as a rebel fighter had not built up his ability to stare for a long period of time when he was uncomfortable (although, he also could not decide whether the hard beating was due to discomfort or something else - and if it was something else, what it was was still a mystery).
"You may enjoy skiing, ally. There is a lot of wind, although your wings would have to be folded against the pressure." Kian hesitated, shifting as his tail, disobediant as always, twitched behind him. "A pool full of apples would have proven difficult. What if you had attempted to resurface, only to be knocked unconcious by one of Bobs cousins? It would have been most unfortunate."
Why was Autsu still looking at him?
"Yes. My Parentals - the grand parentals? - insisted I cut my hair. It was too long, they said." Instead of to his knees, now it was to the small of his back. Still long, longer then most, but half as long as it had been still. "But it was... They were very interesting. I would not have been insulted to be biologically related to them." The musing was light and changed abruptly as Kian flushed under the dark pigment, turning the harsh new gray of his cheeks into the stark black they had once been.
"Tsu, why are you looking at me like that? Are my eyes so interesting?"
...prehaps that was not the most tactful thing to have said.

He had things to say, comments to make, on skiing and the likelyhood of being knocked unconscious in a pool full of apples. Important things to say, about the length of hair, and Kian's willingness to admit that he had, to some extent, enjoyed the time he'd spent with his grandparents.
But he didn't say any of the the things he had to say, because that last frustrated question distracted him for the rest, brought him from leaning to standing, and tense at that. At attention, perhaps, any other time. Conflict, he'd take head on, any time. But he'd never become accustom to talking things out. Left things unsaid, more often than not. Didn't know what to do but lower his eyes from Kian's moving his gaze to a position just over Kian's shoulder, so that he might still see him without making him uncomfortable. Like him, to interpret a question as an order, and respond accordingly.
He was in the habit of taking orders from those he desired.
"They may be." He replied, chosing words with care, and still sure he was picking the wrong ones. "But they are not new. I had meant not to make you uncomfortable. You were-"
He would not say staring.
"It is different, with you, now." Words without meaning. He was becoming Narin. "How am I to act? Where would you have me look?"
Please, just tell me what I'm supposed to do.
He didn't say it. But he meant it. If he hadn't thought Kian could lead him, he may not have wanted him so badly in the first place.

Kian always had a temper. It was always there, bubbling just slightly under the surface, waiting to erupt and be freed. Autsu had been on the receiving end of that harsh temper, once. It had ended up with an angry kiss and, once again, confusion on both sides. He had seen Autsus entire posture change, from relaxed to wary, his eyes slide away in a movement almost submissive.
That confused the three eyed alien; his eyes narrowed dangerously, waiting for the next statement. The words from his friends mouth didn't help the confusion much.
"You were-" Autsu faltered.
So Autsu had noticed and it made him keep his eyes away? How did that work? DID it work? Was it supposed to? And then, the questions came. Questions that could almost be misconstrued as rhetorical and yet, they came off almost as frustrated as Kians previous question had.
"Uncomfortable? You do not make me feel that manner, Tsu." There it was, the anger in the slight snap and snark of his tone. He was never good at holding in the upset inside of him, as Autsu was. "Situations, yes. You? No. The staring is odd, even for us, ally."
At least the last sentance had less bite to it. Kian had forced the anger down, just a bit, and his hand rose up. It could strike or jerk or hurt the man-who-was-NOT-looking-at-him in any number of ways; instead, the thick dark fingers twisted up in what short lengths Autsus hair could provide and, without malice, tugged his friends face back towards him, just slightly.
"Now? With us? I would have you act as you always have with me, Autsu. Usually when you stare, you look as if you had been punched. In a good way." A light tug at the taller mans hair once more as Kian, still frustrated but without that anger pressing it up, stared up at his friends face. His temper could fade as quickly as it rose. Kian was never very good with the whole 'insecurity' thing anyway, outside of how his body used to look, but the staring into his eyes had just been... It had been.
The other hand rose and then there were fingertips, resting just lightly on the now-dried skin of Autsus stomach. A punch , in its own effect. "Not as if you were firmly refusing to believe that I may have eyebrows above the eyes. I do not ever break. If acting yourself means making mistakes, make them. Sometimes, things are better that way."

It didn't help much, having the other so close. The tangling confusion of statement and question, of order and request. It would be dizzying, but could not be so dizzying as the feeling of fingers tangled up in his hair, and pressed against his bare chest.
As they'd always acted together? Kian was his ally, but also his oldest friend on Gaia. Was he to be the Autsu that chased foxes, the one who learned to use a sling, or the one who kissed him. Autsu was a soldier, through and through, but there were other bits and pieces of him that he didn't so much want to acknowledge, take in. It'd be easier to only be a soldier. But he couldn't be only. He couldn't even be only Gaian.
He didn't try to respond, or explain any further. He'd only tangle things up again. He was only a Di, only a soldier. He wasn't made to give speeches, he knew no great truths, not about himself, not about the universe.
He was all tied up in the shiver of Kian's fingertips. He had goosebumps.
He wasn't cold. His breath came in a quaking shudder that had nothing to do with upset. Passion could almost be a shield here. Better to drown in it than try to explain it.
He covered Kian's dark hand with his own, dark on dark, and then slid his fingers up the three eyed teens arm, to rest along his cheekbone. Not a gentle touch. Hungry.
"Comrade." He spoke with the rough honesty that Kian seemed to demand from him. "I am tired of not touching you."

Kian watched. He had gotten his breath taken from him before, he had felt intense emotions in his body akin to anger and dangerous pleasure of winning. The softer emotions - the quiet joy or contentment or even mild irritation - had never honed his attention and left it on an edge before.
The fingers in the light hair flexed and pulled just enough for Kian to feel the slight strain while the fingertips on Autsus chest could feel the rough exhale of an almost-sigh. Their positioning and the touches made little different in comparison to Autsus reaction.
Maybe there was something wrong with the triclops. While him touching Autsu kept his mind clean, Autsus reaction had his mind twisted down corridors he wasn't even aware existed in his mind until then. Kian didn't know. Perhaps it was best not to know, especially when in these conditions where he was begining to get the idea that thinking was not the most sought after reactions.
Good thing, too. There was a hand on his face and a rough voice speaking to him from mere inches and thinking was getting hard to do. Maybe making mistakes right outside of a holiday celebration, with children and siblings and Archie, was worth making - even if it wasn't a mistake.
Fingers, both in Autsus hair and on Autsus skin, flexed and moved even as Kian leaned closer to that hand. The noise of the party were drowned out even further by those words as it took everything Kian was not to shove Autsu against the wall and do... something.
Autsu had his wings. ********. Kian settled for letting his tail shift and press up against Autsus thigh, the tip twisting around his friends ankle. His arm was oddly tingling from a touch he couldn't conciously remember getting and the shorter alien simply leaned closer, chest to chest and eyes narrowed in contemplation of what, exactly, to say next.
A pause and the hand on Autsus chest dropped to rest almost lightly on his hip. He squeezed, then, as his head tilted and pressed a light bite to the eat of Autsus thumb. "Yes."
Permission? Agreement? Kian wasn't sure and he wasn't sure if Autsu would know either - but there it was.

Hiss... it came out in a rough breath between clenched teeth, and had Kian not closed the distance between them with touch and tail, he might have stumbled backwards, into the wall that was already as close as it might be, considering his wings.
The world was Kian, was the feeling of teeth against his thumb, was the sudden bright blaze of sensual feeling for someone who had not had sex in a very, very long time. And oh, there was a mess of emotions in their, tangling want with self loathing, and need with guilt. But mostly, the want and need won out.
Mostly it was need and Kian, and teeth on his thumb, so that he clenched that hand, fingertips digging slightly in to the flesh along the other's jawline. He was not gentle, not really. It wasn't something he'd learned in either life, in any love. He loved as a soldier might, who had known little else. He wanted with the roughness of war.
So when he moved forward to capture Kian's lips in his own, it was exactly that, a capture, a thing of teeth as much as lips and tongue, as his hand moved back to cup the neck of the one he'd spent too long wanting. His other hand fluttered in the air, unsure of where to settle, last time he'd touch Kian's back, he'd sent the other stumbling backward. It finally settled on Kian's tail, fingers moving hungrily there.

A sort of thrill ran through the long haired alien at the sound of Autsus hiss. He liked it when the other made those sorts of noises, the kind of noise you tried to contain but never quite could. There were no real doubts in his mind as Autsus fingers closed and pressed tight against the pliable flesh of Kians cheek and jaw; if he had wanted it to be gentle and slow and languid, he would have said so. If he had wanted that, he would not have wanted to grab onto Autsu or push him against a surface to do what he wanted.
Mostly, touch, if only to get that noise from him again. His fingers flexed against Autsus chest, pressing tight against the dark skin to return the harsh pressure. The tight fingers in his friends hair pulled again as his mouth was dragged against Autsus on, as if the other was trying to keep as much of it close as possible, as if it would become soft and squishy if their wasn't the fierce.
He grinned and returned the movements with raw feelings of his own. Well... perhaps not 'feelings'. 'Desires' was better suited for what, exactly, was driving him on at that particular moment. The last kiss had been awkward and tentative at best, sensual in its own right.
This was something completely, totally different.
There were fingers in his hair, on his neck - it pulled at the smaller strands, jerking further sensations of something not quite pleasure, not quite pain down him. His mind was wrapped around the very movement of Autsus mouth, of the teeth that scratched on his lips, chafing them, of the tongue that moved wantingly against his own and of the fingers that touched a part of his body that hadn't felt contact other then clothing and water before. His tail. The muscles in his tail twitched and coiled at the tingling sliding up his spine.
It was time for touching, Kians fingers told him. They slid from Autsus frame and were absent for a scant moment before his fingertips glanced down the plane of his chest and his stomach. The touch was light at first and only deepened to a harsher sensation as it reached the the hem of his pants; he had to keep his nails from scoring flesh, something found difficult in the current lacking of his mind. Three fingers from one hand hooked tight in the cloth, tugging sharply to drag the other to him. Kians other hand ghosted right back up, palm pressed tight against Autsus side as if he was trying to mold those muscles to his own will.
... it was probably time to stop. There was a party, children, Sibling outside. Those thoughts should have registered. Unfortunetly, he was kissing and biting and touching - being touched and kissed and stroked. Kians head was elsewhere.

It was the tugging that did, pulling him forward, flesh to flesh, but sending him reeling, head spun with sensation, sure footing lost and Autsu ended up thoughtlessly allowing himself to lean back, wanting the pressure of the wall at his back, wanting to have purchase when he pulled Kian closer again.
But Autsu had wings. He'd never had wings during a moment such as this, never had to consider how they might get in the way, might complicate things, might... crunch painfully against the wall when his slender muscled body put weight against them. Oh. Well, that hurt quite a bit... and brought the boy with the blue wings back to himself, able once again to think of when, and where, and...
ouch.
Autsu was good at ignoring pain, and could have gone on from there. But it... it was not the best time. And it was enough for him, for now. Though he wanted deeply, had wanted badly and long, he'd never been in the situation he was in with Kian. Kian was a virgin... and more than that... innocent, in some ways, of the whole mess that was lust and love. He hadn't dealt with it before. There was a... responsibility... an expectation... that he wouldn't abuse that trust. Would not rush too far or too fast.
"Wait." He stepped to the side, away from Kian, to where he might open his wings and feel out the discomfort of crushed bones and feathers made to bend as they were not meant to do.
Gentler now, with his mind his own, he touched the side of Kian's face and smiled. An odd smile, sweet, and free of shadows. "They'll come looking for us soon. Archie. Your sibling."
"I do not think we could explain ourselves as celebrating Gaian Halloween traditions." Perhaps, he meant that statement in humor. "Though I find this more enjoyable than cold pools of apples."

The crunch had made Kians third eye twitch slightly in awareness although, unlike Autsu, it had not been enough to send him back into his right mind. It wasn't until the other boy pulled away - which, luckily, did not make Kian stumble - and said something did his mind clear.
What was that Autsu had said? Oh. Right. 'Wait'. Stupidly, he blinked at winged alien, dimmly aware of the awkward movements of Autsus wings. While they looked odd, the usually quick-footed teen was trying to pull himself out of his own foggy mind but he waited. Wait was as good as No when it came to touching another person, or kissing another person, or shaking them or anything else that required physical contact.
So he stood, blinking just a bit, and he waited.
There was a hand on his cheek. At least this time, he had seen that hand move and uncurl and shift to touch his cheek. Kians eyes narrowed in something not quite contemplation, leaning back onto the balls of his heels while simultaniously, unconciously, dipping his head against the touch. Autsu was smiling, an expression he was not so very used to seeing on his friends face - or anyones for that matter. The Parental had smiled like that, once, when he was looking at Ade and Tyv. Sibling never had.
Kian decided the smile was a good thing. At least, he liked it. He gave a snort at the idea of making out in a bedroom an idea of a Halloween Tradition, the very offer made his lips curl just slightly. At least, for now, his head was clear.
"Yes." He agreed once more, eyes trailing behind Autsu, to stare at the sad-looking feathered appendages. The urge to apologize for loosing control was powerful; Kian resisted. "You are right, Tsu. It was not prudent for this to be...here, despite being far more worthwhile then a cool tub of apples."
Kian moved around Autsu, fingers searching towards the light blue wings, hovering over the very feathers. Distraction. It would be good for trying not to tingle. "Perhaps we should try to fix these. It looks painful."

Autsu's expression did not stay soft for long, the world was there again, making demands and reminding him of what he was. He stretched his wings again, uncomfortably, and frowned in disapproval. "They are-- fragile." He admitted, the word sounding pulled from him. "I would not be ungrateful for the assistance."
He did not like to admit how weak his body seemed to wish to be. He trained himself better, of course, there was lean hard muscle defining his slender form. And he took pain in stride, as a soldier must. But he knew no way to train his body not to bruise at the slightest suggestion of roughness, though bruises showed little on his dark skin. He did not know how to train his wings not to make unpleasant crunching noises when he treated them without care.
He let his hand rest on the doorknob, hesitated. Looked back at Kian, smiled, though not so gently this time, there was a definite edge of lust there. He was not one for words, usually. But still... "I-- enjoyed that. My thanks."

Kian was not far behind his friend towards the door; the hesitation made his own footsteps pause about foot from him. The aliens eyelids flickered, just slightly, at the others grin. It was rougher the the previous one; it was not a bad thing.
So instead, he moved up that scant space to his comrade, one large hand rising to rest against the skin directly below Autsus wings, fingers firm against the hard flesh. Autsu received a returning smile, slow and lazy in comparison to the edged expression.
"Yes."
