I'm getting sick of this. Sure, there are girls who put out easily. Is it wrong, yes? Does it make her a slut? Maybe.
This may not always be the case, but here is an example that bugs me: a 14 year old girl is dating a 17 year old guy. Obviously, she is very naive and puts out to him. Everyone calls her a slut, but nothing is really said of him. Now, we have another example. A guy sleeps with 4 girls in two weeks. And all his friends think he's awesome for having sex with what's-their-faces (who were easy to put out in the first place). [Please note that I know this isn't always the case.]

I read a chain letter a few months ago (and I've seen it a few more times) titled "What girls don't know about guys." It had things listed like "We like a girl who says 'handsome' rather than 'hot.'" But one thing that really caught my attention was "We hate slutty girls. Just because we sleep with them doesn't mean we like them." Is that supposed to be... er... good?? neutral

Honestly, which is worse: the slut or the one who takes advantage of her?

Age is the issue in your example. If the girl is 17 as well there's no problem. If the guy is 14 as well there's no problem. It's more taking advantage of a younger girl than an easy girl. The issue is more about how young people are having sex, and whether someone's a bit of a ****** for sleeping with someone who's so much younger than they were.

I know when I was 17, 14 year olds used to hang out around one of my mates, because he was cool and they had some sort of weird crush on him or something. We used to tease him and call him a ******, even though it wasn't his fault that the girls were so into him. But if he had gone out with a girl that much younger than him, we would really have been shocked. The difference in the teen years... well, it'd be like dating a kid. So when the ages are that different at that point in life, the older person is a bit dodgy. If you really like them, wait till they're older.

If people are the same age, or at least both adults, there's no advantage. Women use men just as much as men use women. The term slut is losing ground in adult society and is reserved for people who don't understand that you can sleep with as many people as you like and you don't have to look like a hooker to do it. It's about class. *shrug* And there are guys who aren't classy too... sleazy is about the closest you'd get to a real term for it.

I just found this thread, and its made me think of things in a different way...let me elaborate.

I'm 17, and, for the most part im a normal teenager. But i like a girl who is 14, im not ashamed of it, and (to my mates), i openly admit it, and i get the sh*t ripped out of me for it. If i did decide to ask her out(which is a major possibility), i wouldn't dream of sleeping with her, even with my lack of ethics, its just plain wrong.

The thing that bugs me, is that if i was 22 for example, and shes 18/19. there would be no problem, would there?

back on topic, i think its the guys who take advantage that are at fault, although the girls shouldnt be so 'easy' when there so naive, they should actually think about what there doing.

I am of the opinion that people vary too widely to generalize like this. I myself grew up planning to stay a virgin until married, and raise a happy family. I graduated 2 years early from high school and started my career as a fire fighter. While fighting fires, attending college, and supporting myself and the love of my life, I never noticed how naive I was. At the age of 18, I finally gave in and slept with her, despite the fact that we hadn't taken vows. Still, with every intention of marrying her, I used a condom and things did not change. However, every day after, she wanted it more, and I was blindly in love at gave her what she wanted. Wearing my ring, she used my naivety against me, and eventually she moved on. Now no one mentions cases like these, where good guys are used and abused. The gender isn't what matters, its the character of the individuals involved. I am not saying we should just accept it, but perhaps teaching our children better morals and standards when they are younger, helping them develop as whole people, would stop these tragic situations. So when addressing this topic, please don't make it one sided. Girls and boys alike are just as susceptible to such circumstances.

I'm dealing with this same situation. My sister is young and her bf is is way older than her. She been dating older guys since she was 14. I thought that is very hoe-ish. Young girls these days all want some, there all hoes, but if a dude wants to take advantage of her than he is a hoe. Therefore witch ever way it goes there all hoes.

A.) I was a 14 year old girl dating a 17 year old, it didn't mean we were having sex. We dated for like three years and didn't have sex for a while after we were dating.

B.) I think you need to look at all the circumstances before you judge. Why is the girl acting like a "slut" as has been so eliquently stated? And What if the girl seduced the guy?, etc.
