Her chocolate eyes were gleaming in the stars. She was gazing at them lovingly from her perch on the soft grass covered earth. Stars were free. Stars were bright and beautiful and they traveled.. Or seemed to.. She'd love to be part of the sky. It would give her more meaning than she assumed she had.

She hadn't seen Cerek in a long time. She missed him dearly, and she would even go so far as to say it was love that was driving her missing him. He had assumed the role of father for her future foals. As they were going to try and have some of their very own.. But she felt something stir inside as she thought of him. It always happened that way though. She'd get that pang..

But he had mentioned not being one to settle down. She huffed a bit. Odds were against her then. She shook her head, golden chocolate tipped mane falling in front of her eyes as she closed them, and layed her body down upon the earth. Her eyes closed slightly and her head took a spot under the tree from which she lay near.

Cerek had been gone for quite some time. He'd been roaming the lands on his own, a free spirit to travel where he'd wished at whatever time he wanted. Yet, something had kept tugging his heartstrings, pulling him back to the area he'd been born in, and the place where he had fond memories of a certain golden mare.

Dark hooves moving almost silently across the grass, Cerek ambled forward, not really paying attention to where he was going. He hadn't seen his brother, nor his mother as of yet. But they would come in time. He knew his vivacious personality could wear on their more demure attitudes.

Inhaling deeply, he let his eyes flutter to a close. It was such a peaceful night. The aroma of everything he remembered almost swallowed him whole, let him bathe in fond reminiscences. Yet...there was a sweetly familiar perfume on the breeze this night. Ears swiveling forward, he nickered softly, hooves moving into an easy trot.

And there she was, a vision in gold. A confident smile slid onto his maw as he walked forward. "Mara?" he said softly.

His voice was almost dreamlike as she was almost asleep as he spoke. Her body twitched a bit, but an eye opened slowly, her heart pounding as she discovered the voice had belonged to someone very important to her.

And speak of the devil. But she was oh so happy to see him. Her legs carried her from her sleeping position to the flying mare she was as she came at him.
Her brown eyes soft as they met his icy blue orbs.

She stopped, before she would run too fast and knock him over or something. Yeah, that would be a great greeting. Why hello, how are you *CRUSH!*
She gave a smile at her thought, and looked back at the handsomeness that was Cerek.

His dark pelt still stood out from the night, as he wasn't ebony, like the sky tended to be. His pelt was dark shades of brown, and his voice like a dream.

"Cerek!"
She said, nipping his mane and giving him a happy smile.
"I've missed you!"

Cerek laughed lightly at the excitement in the other equine, his large front hooves dancing beneath him as he came to a halt. In all honestly, he wouldn't have minded her knocking him down. Cerek, though he didn't like to admit it, had missed the golden mare. He'd always been about free spirits and not settling down and enjoying the affection of as many mares as possible. And while he still held to that philosophy somewhat, he had missed Mara's soft voice and her kind smile.

He admired her openly with his azure eyes, dancing to the side as she nipped at his mane. Reaching out his own muzzle, he bit playfully at her shoulder before nuzzling her cheek. "I've missed you too, Mara. I didn't mean to be gone for so long."

He really hadn't, either. But he'd gotten a little...lost, regretfully, and most of his time away had been spent trying to figure out how to get back in the first place.

She giggled, and danced around him as he went to n** at her shoulder, but she slowed and came to an abrupt halt. When he nuzzled her cheek, she returned the gesture with almost a certain fever.

"Where did you go?" SHe asked, but quickly fixed the question into a sort of statement.

"I mean.. Its fine that you left.. You have the right.. But I missed you so."
She said, trying to explain herself, with fear the she could scare him off if she asked the wrong thing.

Damn her and her not thinking before she spoke. Mother had always yelled at her for that. She had once meant to cause teh trouble she always caused.. Now she seemed to try not to, and it still came just as easy.

The dark stallion leaned his shoulder against her, nipping along her spine affectionately. It'd been so long since he' been in the company of a mare. Much too long in his opinion.

Cerek chuckled at her quickly-saved statement. "Everywhere," he said quietly. "But trust me that I never meant to be gone so long. I got a little...lost," he said, snorting and rolling his eyes at himself. He didn't think he'd ever get over the shame of that.

He turned his startling blue eyes back to her. "How have you been, Mara?"

"Lost?" She asked, quirking a brow, and thinking that that would truly be a terrible thing to happen to someone. Most of all, a stallion. She gave him a gentle nuzzle and smiled.

"Happens to the best of us." She said, giving him a kind smile. She wasn't sure where he had gotten lost at, but it didn't matter.

She'd been off by herself since he left. Seeing her mother only briefly, and meeting an Alicorn, of which she had never met one of those before. But.. Her world was lonely.

She lived in the place of her birth, and never really left unless she knew where she was heading. She was too afraid of getting lost, which was why she had never left. Even with mother.. She felt that she was safer here. She knew this place.

If thick fur didn't cover his skin, Mara would be witnessing quite the impressive blush on Cerek's face. He shuffled his hooves somewhat sullenly a moment before puffing out his wide chest. He had to maintain at least a small portion of his manliness.

While he had gotten himself lost, it didn't tame Cerek's desire to roam. He loved venturing beyond the gentle valley he'd been born in. The world was so huge beyond its protective forest of trees.

Grinning at her, he began walked to the base of one the trees. He was a little on the tired side, and could do with a brief rest for his weary hooves. "Come," he said softly, looking back over his shoulder at her. "Come and tell me what you've been up to without my careful supervision," he laughed.

She smiled, and nodded, taking her leave to follow him into the forest. He was tired, and she knew he had never been the kind to enjoy the placidness of the clearings whilest he slept.

Mother had told her it was unwise as well. But she wasn't sure she could sleep without seeing the stars. Maybe this time would be different. Maybe she would be able to curl up with him tonight, should he allow her, and her night sky would be in his eyes.

She watched his movements and smiled.

"I have been up to nothing. Im as boring a mare, as I have ever been."
She said grinning.

[Theyre next in line for a breeding. So it'll be them I try for from now on. Is that okay?]

Cerek walked slowly towards the edge of the forested area, picking a tree quite close to the edge. It was true he hated being out in the open whilst laying down, but he wouldn't turn down a view of the stars, either. He eased himself to the ground, as easily as such a large stallion could anyway, leaning one shoulder against the rough trunk of the tree.

As soon as Mara came back into site, he grinned, nodding his head towards the spot beside her. "Lay with me?" he asked simply, his brilliant cerulean eyes practically glowing.

He reached his head up as she neared, nuzzling her leg before she laid down with him. "And when have you ever been a boring mare? I've always known you to be quite the opposite," he said, winking slyly at the golden mare.

They're just too cute<3]

Mara smiled as she watched him lay his large body down. He indeed had never been more handsome. She adored watching him move, and he indeed had gotten older and more sturdy than when she last met him. He oozed sex appeal to her, and it made her giggle again.

She nodded and walked to his side, bending her legs to lie down by the large, dark stallion. She smiled at him, and nipped his mane oh so gently as he nuzzled her leg.

"Oh do not tell me I entertain you!" She said s miling with mock horror.
"it shall ruin my image." She said, alittle softer, more seductive, and her eyes half closed.
Her tone had gone from teasing, to gentle.

Cerek smiled contentedly up at Mara as she nipped at him, and even more so when she settled close to him. On his travels, he'd seen a mated pair of wolves playing and rolling all over the ground with one another. He had wished, at that point, that horses could move in similar ways, could show affection as such. But it only meant that he'd have to find more inventive ways.

He laughed. "Fine, then. You are absolutely the most boring mare I have ever come across, and you certainly don't entertain me in any manner." And even though he still chuckled, he couldn't help but shudder pleasantly at the tone in her voice. It'd been so long since he'd heard a mare speak that way - he hadn't realized how much he'd missed it.
