You can also call her: Tammy
Gender: Female
Age: Baby!!!!
Special: Tammy is a witch. Not only is she a witch, she's a mixture of white and black magic, which are like oil and water. No child has been born of both, only because the two magics are too far apart, almost like separate species.
Skin Colour: pale but ruddy, freckled
Hair Colour: Red
Eye Colour: Aqua
Bodytype: Soft
Abilities/Notes: Tamaura's abilities grow exponentially as she ages, finally blossoming in her teens to a full powered sorceress. Her magic tends to blow up in her face, since most spells are catered to one type of magic or another. Her summoning is terrible, and when she finally summons her familiar, its not a cat like normal Black Witches, but a tiny quail, of no real significance. Tamaura's magic is strong, but very, very sporadic. She tries not to use it at all, and it usually overflows in unusual and frightening ways.
Personality: Tamaura tends to be rather naive, and seems to see the world with fresh eyes everyday. Some people seem to think that she's a little slow, but its more that she sees the joy and magic in everything, be it crystal ball or raindrops hitting the roof. Tamaura dislikes being different, and tries to blend in with the other kids at her mandatory after-school magic class, who are all of a black magic nature. When confronted with her blended magic, Tamaura is apologetic and submissive, believing they are right in their taunting. She is accepting of differences in other people, which makes her character somewhat ironic, as she doesn't accept differences in herself. She is self-sacrificing to a fault, believing the needs of others are more important than anything, even her safety and well-being. She is a happy person by nature, if simple, but her simplicity is what makes her so interesting. She makes friends easily, and accepts faults that would sometimes be deal breakers with other people.

Special: Astraea is a Fairy Godmother
Skin Colour: Pale
Hair Colour: Silver
Eye Colour: bright blue and twinkling
Bodytype: Large, round and comfy
Abilities/Notes: Astraea is a Fairy Godmother, who has just moved to town. She specializes in balls and parties, and is thus not a threat when it comes to the black magicians who reside in droves. Fairy Godmothers are not common in this day and age, mostly because of the threat they cause to the natural order of things, using magic that could have an effect over life and death (ie: Sleeping Beauty). Astraea is still asked occasionally to attend baptisms, and births, but usually as a calming force and good luck charm. Those who wish her to bestow gifts on their newly born children to sign a release, and to never tell the child until they are old enough to comprehend, as even the kindest gift can turn sour.
She is especially interested in royalty, and she will help anyone with even an inkling of royal blood. Even those interested in marrying royalty will come to her attention.
Personality: Astraea is a kind and generous soul, who likes to boss people around. Tamaura receives the brunt of the bossiness, but she doesn't seem to mind all that much. Astraea is often away on business, and she worries for Tammy, who seems to have difficulty making friends at first. Astraea is forgetful, but will blame it on everyone else rather than herself. She's mostly a very mothering personality, seeming to care about everyone else's children just as much as her own. Astraea believes that people are mostly good, but has a soft spot for the "bad boys" and is addicted to bad soap operas and romantic comedies.

Cracked and broken pots of tea,
Irelia Torstenn --- More like Tammy's cousin, Irelia manages to get Tammy in to all sorts of trouble at all times. Astraea doesn't particularly enjoy Irelia's company, mostly because the power that rests in Irelia and her book are of a far more ancient root than her own, and it disturbs her.
Asher Torstenn --- Friend of Astraea's adopted sister, Beth. Astraea had never met Asher before journeying to the town, but she has heard stories from Beth. She considers him a friend, though comrade in arms is more of a true statement.
Bethany "Beth" Richards --- Beth is Astraea's adoptive sister, through a turn of events in the "old country". Both will not speak of it, but it has something to do with a group of women called the Black Gryphons and Asher. Beth often looks after Tammy while Astraea is away on business, and by proxy, has become something of a mother to Tamara as well. Beth worries more about Tammy than Astraea knows, seeing in her a darkness that her sister tries to forget. She is the one that forces Astraea to enroll Tammy in to the Arcane Academy.
Lukas Richards --- Beth's only son, Lukas spends a lot of time with Tamara. Lukas is very opinionated and has a strong personality, and will override anything Tamaura thinks with his own thoughts. Tamara loves him, but she doesn't have to particularly like him.

Birds are caged without their doors, Tamaura's house
Tamaura's cottage looks very small from the outside, but it is quite large within. About 5 feet of height was added to the house by digging below ground. Tamaura's cottage doubles as her Grandmother's main place of business.
