okay... a thread on just meditation, now i'm not very good at this so this is here for anyone who would like to help someone like myself or others learn to meditate sucessfully ^_^

o.o i just meditated... i sat in my chair and closed my eyes... i was concentrating on my breathing, i felt as if i was weightless. and then... a tear fell down my right cheek. i'm rather curious on that... i saw nothing in my mind, but i felt something...

the tear........... i'm curious

the whole point of meditation is to clear the mind of all emotions and try and tap into things more... for lack of words ill say advanced. The tear... ill venture out and say its some emotion that your not willing to let go of, and it released itself when you relaxed your mind. I meditate just randomly and all i have is a back wall in my mind with no thoughts or emotions and i just seem like im intune with the whole world and i dont have a body.

I meditate to control my dreams better and push my power to the limits to see how good I am.It's kind of like weight lifting for your powers.Last night I tried it, and thehouse started making creeking noises and I was really hot and suddenly the air conditioner in my window turned on light, but the dial still read off.It was strange but kewl.

Thats cool!! Last night I was meditating before I scryed, and I got this weird gut feeling to do a different aproach at it. I put the crystal to my forhead, and my forehead felt like it had white fire where the stone touched. Then my body got hot, like someone threw a blanket on me, even thought the ceiling fan right above me was full blast. *nods* it was really draining though. I havent scryed in a while, and all I got were undefinable shadows.

Practice makes perfect, or die trying!!

sweatdrop I've never really meditated before, but due to a recent hospitilization, a few of my doctors recommended that I try meditating. Does anyone have a few tips for begginers? I have no clue as to what to start doing...do I sit or stand? What do I do or think about?

here is what i did... just concentrate on your breathing, relax every muscle in your body... just breathe in slowly for 5 seconds, then exhale for 5 seconds, shorther if you'd prefer... but keep your mind focused on you breathing... thats my tip ^^ it works for me
