Zest's host, Dean, took the time to make a simple flash website for his little hacker. She always enjoyed eating pictures of his cooking, and especially loved pictures files of baked sweets, such as cookies. Just enjoying the files wasn't enough for Zest, however. She wanted to go share them with other hackers and try to make some friends in the process. So, Dean set up a website with downloadable pictures of different types of cookies he'd baked and even a pie or two, for starters. Each pictures was labeled and had a description, but no price. Though the site's called Zest's Bake Sale, it's more of a giveaway where one could download a picture as many times as they please. Most kids wanted to run a lemonade stand and, being a kid, Zest wanted to sell cookies.
Zest sits in front of the access points to her new website, scanning about for signs of other hackers she could invite to come over for cookies. She begins to munch on a file of a chocolate chip cookie, grinning widely as she tastes the first nibble. she says to herself. After scarfing down the cookie, Zest grows restless and begins to pace and dance about while waiting for others to show.

Because his host was off getting drunk or otherwise feeling bad for himself, Nigh had gotten bored. This was never a good thing for anyone involved, but since Smudge had come around, he was a little less wily and a lot more agitating. The twilight male Hacker could not do much without the female tagging along, and even though she didn't say much, it was quite a drag. Really. A female.
It was during one of these bored phases of being alone (with the girl) that Nigh was surfing. He often did just to see if he could find any cool things to learn, to eat, or in rare cases, to meet. He was pointedly not interested in what Smudge was doing, browsing his own sites.
Smudge was also browsing, but at a leisurely pace, basing her search off of things her human had said to her. At first he had been annoyed by her presence, but it became obvious that he favored her cute demeanor and sweet banter. She remembered he said he was sorry for giving her such a bland name, but she didn't mind; it was from her human, and she was grateful.
The name came from her pie-like appearance, or so he had said. He hadn't had a clue what she was, only saying she looked vaguely like a 'walking cookie.' And so, Smudge looked up just what a 'cookie' was, and if they could walk. It was through this search that she found a web page called Zest's Bake Sale, with pictures of things listed as cookies.
But there was something else. The female pressed through the network, searching for the sign she felt, that blip of life that reminded her of Nigh. <...hello?> she sent out, uncertain.
Nigh, being near by, was annoyed by the transmition, and was about to rebuke her when he also felt the presence attached to the info-line that Smudge was exploring. The Hacker frowned, saying nothing, choosing to watch.
Brad would have had a heartattack if he knew the Hacker had kept to himself.

Zest plops down into a sitting position, downloading another cookie picture file to munch on. As she begins nibbling at the data, a message floats toward the site. Somebody's found her! Zest grins excitedly, hoping to herself that she'd found a girl hacker to play with, since she was stuck with a male human.
The little lemon drop dances about in a circle before sending out a reply to the origins of the message, .
Zest begins downloading pictures of different types of cookies from her website, piling them up in front of the entrance to the site. With pride, she pats the top of the stack, saying to herself,

< Alright then, I'm on my way. >
A soft message echoed through the airwaves as an unfamiliar data source picked up Zest's childish transmissions, and it ended just as quickly as it had come.
From where she was resting about a server or two away, it was amazing that she'd been able to grasp hold of the transmission in the first place. It must have been because she'd been taught a few things by a pair of mischievous hackers, many the ability to scan channels on multiple servers at any time.
From her thoughts on it the sender was someone small, someone very new, and she wondered as she began to move towards it what they would appear to be like. Other than the twins, she'd never met anyone else...

Within moments she entered the server that Zest had set up, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of life save the little one that had been sending her messages.
When no one other than a small child, brightly yellow and flittering about, entered her view she concluded that this must be the one who'd sent the 'come and play' message, and she made her way over slowly yet with enough time that it didn't seem she was hesitant. It could have been called a stroll, yet she moved faster than that.
Finally reaching the others side after a moment or two, she bowed her head politely and folded her hands against her waist.
< Hello, I recieved your message. It's a pleasure to meet you. >
Her speech was quite formal and ackward, yet she felt it was the best way to speak. Her Master often spoke this way when he was with her or the other humans, so she concluded it was the only method of communication that would serve her purposes.
< My name is Purin. >

Zest frowns, looking around the area immediately surrounding the page. Somebody MUST be coming shortly. She'd gotten messages from two parties now. He eyes lock onto an elder hacker. Zest's mouth hangs open, head cocking to the left slightly as he looks toward Purin in aw. She'd never seen another hacker, let alone one much more advanced than herself.
With a little giggle, Zest bows toward the new hacker, arms fidgeting at her sides as he does so. She didn't know why she was bowing, this being her first REAL social interaction in the cyber world. After seeing Purin do it, bowing seemed appropriate, though.
Nodding her head with determination, Zest grabs a chocolate chip cookie thumbnail and offers the file up toward Purin. she exclaims with great enthusiasm and a beaming smile on her face.

< Cookies? That sounds sweet. >
Purin beamed a smile down on the younger, child hacker and she almost giggled as she remebered how Zest had mimiced her actions of bowing before introducing herself. It was...rather cute and charming all at the same time.
< Did you make them yourself or did you find a program on the web that makes them for you? Or perhaps did your master aide you in their creation? >
Purin didn't mean to ask so many questions, but it came out that way insetad. Originall she had meant to only ask if Zest had made them herself, but somehow it went a little further. Perhaps she was watching her Master too much...
< I'm sorry if asked too many questions . . . >

Zest dances around Purin in a complete circle before extending the cookie file forward toward Purin. she says with a smirk, rising up to her tip toes to push the cookie toward Purin's mouth.
She stops trying to cram it into Purin's face long enough to shake her head and reply, She giggles a little before noting, With another nod of her head, Zest puts on an expression of pride, complete with a self-satisfied smirk.

Purin backed up a bit as Zest shoved the image towards her face, and she politely pushed it back down with her hand in an effort to at least bring some distance. All of her movements were forceful yet not powerful, and she sighed a bit as she felt the young hacker misunderstood yet understood her question all at once.
After all, she had answered in a rather roundabout way.
< Thank you for the offer, but I'm not really one for sweets. I prefer vegetables over many sweet things, if I really had to say. >
She wasn't sure why she preferred looking at pictures of grass over the pictures of food that her Master often had on his screen, but it didn't bother Purin greatly.
< So your Master is a chef? That sounds really interesting, and what he does for you makes him sound like a really kind person. I bet you treasure him, don't you? >
Talking to this younger hacker was proving to be a bit harder than Purin had originally thought it would be.

Zest tosses the file back into the pile of assorted cookies rather carelessly as it's turned down. Rocking back and forth, she listens as the older hacker speaks. She was neither childish nor playful so far, and it disappointed the hyper little girl.
Zest nods her head sternly at this thought. She smiles and nods her head excitedly as Purin asks if she treasures Dean. she exclaims, grinning after her outburst. She pauses, frowning as she adds,

< Is there something wrong with being male? My Master is also male, and I find him to be great no matter his gender. I prefer his company over the women he works with, to be certain. >
Purin blinked a bit more at Zest's sudden change of actions and emotions, and she had to remind herself that although this was only data before her, it was an AI data that was of a child. Perhaps Zest was becoming bored and would soon start to cry? Before that could happen, Purin had to do something.
< Say, would you like to play a game with me? >

Zest emotes a <*sigh*> as she mouths the action.
With a cute little blink, accompanied by a confused look on Zest's face, she asks, A little smile soon appears upon her face, growing at the thought of doing something fun. This was another female, too. Even better!
she proposes with a grin.

Happy that the young hacker's emotions had apperantly moved towards the better, Purin nodded her head at the request of playing a 'cookie game', which she felt might be a little uneven in her favor.
As she was an Elder hacker her ability to sense data and clean it out from other things was far above the average, not to mention the extra practice she'd been getting from those rather odd twins.
< Of course I will play with you. Let me close my eyes, and you go ahead and hide the 'cookies'. >
Closing her eyes, Purin placed her hands over them for an added effect to help show she wasn't going to peek.

Zest watches Purin carefully, waiting until the elder hacker had closed her eyes completely before she goes toward the pile to pick up five random cookie files. With a grin, she runs out into cyberspace, finding a clot of data to hide behind as she greedily shoves the cookie pictures into her little mouth.
Each cookie is devoured quickly, Zest taking the time to fling away any data crumbs from her face afterward. The mischievous little lemon runs back to Purin, jumping up to poke at her back as a text bubble pops up, Zest bounces about happily, waiting for Purin to start playing.
