"Well... they left us on our own again." Zave sighed slightly at how quickly Tsu and Kyou could flee from a scene sometimes. In his hand was a note written in scrawl.
Lazarus, Kaze, Kai, and Zave --
Kyou and I have to go to attend a meeting about possibly finding more funding to rebuild the lab. We'll make it better. Less explody. Anyway, we hopefully won't be too long, but there's no guarantee. We're leaving it up to Laz and Zave to take care of the others. There are some movies in the living room, and feel free to whatever we have in our cupboards. Try to stay out of the alcohol though. I don't want to have to lose my security deposit.

Peeking at the note when Zave lowered it, Kai cheered out "Movies! That means we should have popcorn!" It's not like Kai actually ate the popcorn, but the sound it made was very interesting.... and what were movies without popcorn to throw? or eat... for those that actually consumed that stuff.
"Hmmm... I guess so. There never is any telling when they'll be home. A movie might be good to kill time at the very least. Let's see... the movies are in the living room already, but I'm not sure where the popcorn is. That might take some time to find, so why don't some of us stay to get the popcorn made, while the others grab what they want to drink and choose the movie? Which do you prefer to do Laz?" Zave felt a little bad taking charge, so he turned to the elder raevan, hoping for his input.

"It's no big. I'm quite used to not having Kyou around anyway." Lazarus said dully. Sad as it may sound, Lazarus doesn't care much at the moment. "Movie eh...?" he rolled over the idea for a bit. If the adults are not around, they could have a little bit more fun around the house then. He had always been curious about a certain thing for a while.
"I'll go get some drinks! Maybe you could prepare some popcorns and let the other two choose the movie!!" Lazarus suggested eagerly. And before he waited for a reply from Zave he had already headed off - not in the direction of the kitchen though, but towards Tsu's bedroom instead. On a rare occassion, he had spied on Tsu putting some weird bottles behind a book case of classic literature. If his guess was correct, that would be Tsu's secret alcohol stash.
"So... we choose a movie??" Kaze chirped at Kai cheerfully from his cup. He likes watching movies!

Zave didn't have time to agree before Laz floated off towards... not the kitchen. So much for avoiding the alcohol. Far be it for him to criticize... he was also a little interested in what it might taste like... but decided on water for the night anyway.
"Okay guys, let's get you to the movies. Pick out a good one for all of us to enjoy together." Zave said to the kids as he put them down on the table in front of a large pile of movies. Tsu had just been picking at random again it would seem.... but at least that gave plenty of options.
"Of cos' we'll pick a good one. Who do you think we are?!?" Kai retorted to Zave's retreating back.
Heading into the kitchen Zave muttered to himself... "Now where would the popcorn be....? Maybe in one of the cupboards where Kai can't reach....?" Floating up higher to check, Zave only found the breakables. A surprisingly wise move by the man that had no idea on how to be a father.
"Well then there is that lazy susan?" Zave muttered, giving it a push and a spin. Unfortunately the lazy susan was lazier in keeping everything on itself... as a load of items came tumbling down all over the kitchen floor. This was going to be a long night already... "I wonder if Laz is having any luck finding the booze...."

Kaze leant over his cup and looked at the selection of movies before him. One DVD cover caught his eyes. "Hey Kai, let's choose that one!! It looks interesting!!" he said cheerfully, pointing at a DVD cover with grey decayed limbs on it that labeled "Saw". Of course, Kaze had no experience whatsoever with horror movies, nor does he understand the concept of death and decay. He simply just thought that it might be some movie about weird creatures like them that has weird skin color.
Lazarus exited Tsu's room, an expression of curiosity and interest plastered on his face as he held a can of Kirin Beer in his hand. There a couple more cans in that mini refridgerator behind the bookcase, but Laz just took one, in hopes that Tsu wouldn't notice it missing.
This is when he heard the loud noises coming from the kitchen.
"Is everything okay?!?!" he shouted as he rushed into the kitchen. And was faced with a large mess on the floor. "What in the world happened in here??" he asked, though the answer is painfully obvious in front of him.

"Okay!" Kai said cheerfully. Although he lived in the house with a doctor, he didn't really notice death and decay either. Also with Lazarus and Zave floating around with no bottoms, it was easy enough to assume that bodies being in two parts was normal. "It looks a lot more interesting than some of the others that Tsu picks up." The movie being decided was easy... now comes the last part.
"Is the popcorn ready YET?!"
"Almost!" Zave hollered back.
He quickly started gathering the items together to put back on the shelf. Finally he located the popcorn that he was looking for. Opening the box and pulling out a bag, Zave flew over to the microwave. "Let's see... 2 minutes and 30 seconds on level 5 should be good." While that was starting Zave quickly finished picking up the boxes and putting them away. He looked a little flustered by this point.
"Laz, would you mind seeing what the others want to drink or snack on?" Zave asked politely, ignoring the prized can of beer in Laz's hand. "I'm going to get myself some water."

Kaze stared at the rest of the movie selections on the table, most of them at least have a sexy woman on the cover. "Tsu picked these? His taste is weird..." And of course, he doesn't understand the concept of women as a sexual attraction at such a young age too.
Lazarus was actually glad that Zave was so responsible and cleaned the mess up himself, and settled the popcorns too. "I think both those boys outside could drink the liquid in their own cups." he chuckled at his own jokes as he placed the can of beer on the counter and opened the kitchen refridgerator. He took out a bottle of cold water and two bottles of fruit juices anyway for the younger boys.
"I'll go and pop in the movie first, you just get the popcorn ready and come join us okay?" he held up the bottle of water, indicating that he got Zave's drink as he moved towards the living room, not forgetting to grab his beer too along the way.

"Yeah, okay." Zave said taking notice of the water in Laz's hand. "Feel free to start it up too. I probably won't miss too much." Although deep down Zave had a feeling that Laz might do that even if he didn't mention it. Such an odd thing to do... but it seemed like a reaction.
"Laz and Zave sure are slow, aren't they." Kai muttered to Kaze. "I mean... how long does it take to make popcorn and get drinks out?!" They had the movie picked out in about 30 seconds or so.
Pop. Pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop. Pop... pop... po... DING! Pop.... pop..... pop.
Zave carefully removed the bag of popcorn from the microwave and shook the bag a little to let the kernels and everything settle. Everything wasn't popped, but at least there weren't any burned kernels. Fishing a bowl out of the cupboard, Zave wiped it down and poured the popcorn in. In the end about 4 minutes passed before he was completed.
"I'm finally done... what did I miss?" Zave floated in just as the lights came on in the scene. To see... A DEAD BODY?!? Zave almost dropped the bowl he was carrying, but was able to regain it before it fell to the floor. "Wha-What kind of film are you watching?!?!" Zave's face paled a little bit.

"I don't know." Lazarus replied simply, "Kaze and Kai were the ones who picked up the movie." He said casually as he took up the movie cover to inspect. "It's called "Saw", interesting..." he muttered as he read the synopsis at the back of the cover. Deciding that he wanted to continue to watch the movie, and also see the other's reactions, he didn't say a word and placed the movie cover somewhere where Kaze and Kai couldn't reach. He had watch one or two horror movies before, but he believe the rest of them haven't. At least he know Kaze haven't.
An obvious shocked and terrified expression was stoned on Kaze's face. "W... what... in the world??!!" he managed to say, his voice shaking slightly. Although he haven't complained yet, the immediate suspense right from the beginning of the movie probably got him hooked, for now.
Lazarus stole some popcorn from Zavier's bowl before he popped open his beer. He took a small sip tentatively and frowned. This doesn't taste good at all. He thought bitterly. Why does Tsu like this kind of drinks so much? Despite the taste though, Lazarus continued to drink. Thinking that it's probably too wasteful to just throw it away, after he went through so much trouble stealing it.
