Okay, let me start by saying that I'm a guy, so as to justify my absolute cluelessness. I have a question regarding tampons. More specifically, can a girl use one if she still has her hymen? It just seems that the second one would get in the way of the first. Thank you to anyone who finds the time to clairify that for me.

Yes, it is possible for a girl to use a tampon even if she still has a hymen.
Many hymens are very delicate, so they often tear in childhood or around puberty from things like running, jumping, masturbation, or tampon use.
Other hymens are more durable and stretchy. They may be so stretchy that they can move to the side and allow the tampon to enter with little or no tearing.
There are a few girls, however, who may have trouble putting in a tampon due to their hymen. It's far from being the norm, but some hymens are tough, durable, and not very stretchy.
