Whether it's a case of neglect or a malicious act of cruelty, you can help protect animals. Why should you care? Because it's the right thing to do. Because cruelty to animals is illegal in all 50 states. And because people who harm animals may also harm people. Stopping cruelty to animals helps everyone. What Can You Do?
1. Get help for the animal. If you see someone hurting an animal or if you know of someone whose animal looks sick, injured, or deprived of adequate food, water, or shelter, get help. Call the police, your local animal shelter, or a trusted adult. Do not try to help the animal yourself—that could put you in danger.
2. Get the facts. Write everything down. As a witness, you'll need to provide the date, time, location, and any other details you can remember, including descriptions of the animal, the type of cruelty, and the person who may be responsible for it.
3. Get the word out. Educate your friends, family, and teachers about animal cruelty and its connection to human violence by sharing information and materials from The Humane Society of the United States's First Strike™ campaign. For more information, call 1-888-213-0956, or write to us at First Strike, The HSUS, 2100 L St., NW, Washington, DC 20037.
4. Be a role model. Let your actions be a guide. Be kind to animals and let others know that hurting animals is wrong. Speak up for animals and urge others to do the same.
5. Be a responsible pet owner. Don't let your cats and dogs roam. Cats are safest indoors. When outdoors, dogs should be walked on a leash or supervised in a fenced yard. It's up to you to keep your pets safe.
6. Keep a lookout. If you see a stray or injured animal, contact your local animal care and control agency or the police. Provide a description of the animal and the location.
7. Make the 'Net work. If you find an Internet site that promotes animal abuse, urge the service provider that hosts the web site to remove it immediately. You can find the address of the web site's provider at networksolutions.org.
8. Stop cruelty before it begins. Teach elementary schoolchildren in your community to be kind to animals via KIND News, a nine-times-a-year newspaper published expressly for kids. The prize-winning publication is produced by The National Association for Humane and Environmental Education (NAHEE), the youth service division of The HSUS. NAHEE also produces other publications and has programs like Adopt-a-Classroom. For more information, visit its web sites by following the links on the right.
9. Start a club. Start an animal protection club at your school. Visit the HumaneTeen web site and click on "Start a Club" for tips and activity suggestions.
10. Join the HumaneTeen Network. The HumaneTeen Network is a free online service that provides members with e-mail updates on the latest animal and environmental issues. To join, visit their web site and click on "Join the Network." For more information about animal cruelty, click on "Understanding Animal Cruelty."

Pandas rock.
But most people don't own pandas...
So be kind to all animals!
Including but is not limited to: POMERANIANS, PANDAS, cats, dogs, fishies, froggies, birdies, and basically every other animal that exists.

I have saved 15 animal lives and 3 human lives. I think we should do as much as possible to help all animals and humans. If you find yourself the urge to hurt, Stop what ever you are doing and Just Think about it... I propose that anyone or anything being hurt abused mentally and phisically is a crime and should be reported. Without doing so you might as well be part of it. I know this sounds weird but i can talk to my cats and i can also tell how they are hurt . I have a special Link with them but no-one belives me i tried to help this stay by tellling my mom...She did nothing so i fed it watered it and everything else i could but i didnt make the call becuase i knew in my town they would puit him down so I couldnt. I would rather give my life then have that happen to any animal.I would give my life for all of them even if I could just save one.I would. I would do it for the best of things. They say Dog is man's Best Friend..WHY DO THEY HURT THEM???? If you have a best friend would you hurt them?I know I wouldnot I would rather lock my self up and think about it rather than take or harm a life Animal and man alike.People do no understand that how would they feel if they was that animal or human they are abuseing??? Well some day i want to start a shelter in New York City with my sister Gina.Me and her understand these animals. We somehow have a link togather as they animals my link with her made it for her to talk with them too. So if you really care for animals You will take on the march with me! It is now or never I am moveing to New York In 8 years meet me there..

My uncle saw a dog near his village and since he went 2 his village often he played and fed the dog but one day the dog had a swollen belly cause his owner ddnt care 4 him so my uncle took it home and took care of it.Now the dog is very old but is very happy. In the past he had also taken care of a deaf cat. And once a stray kitten near my school was an orphan so me and my friend took care of it but our parents ddnt let us keep it in our homes so we had it in my friend's yard cause it was very small and it could get hit by a car. When it grew up we let it go free in the neighbourhood and it came so we can feed it.

the university of texas a&m is doing inhumane "research" on bats they are putting them in painful positions while they are alive (imagine your feet being stretched backward to touch your head) they are also collecting hundreds of these bats from a single cave and are depleting the population of the cave they have collecting nursing mothers and killed them for dissections, leaving their helpless week-old babies alone help put this horror to an end go to www.batworld.org to learnmore about bats and what they do for the world
