It was autumn and that meant only one thing to Hayagriva... leaves! He leaped through them with as much bounding energy as a colt and sent sprays of red and brown leaves swirling behind him. It was easy to forget all the things that had been bothering him lately when the wind was blowing and leaves were catching in his long mane. He laughed breathlessly and flung himself into another pile, rolling on his back and kicking his legs in the air.
The only thing that could make this better would be having someone to share it with. Maybe he could find Vis! Haya rolled over and pushed himself back to his feet. Vis usually hung around one area. He wouldn't be too hard to find. Haya started trotting off happily, leaves getting more and more tangled into his long locks as the wind blew.

It was autumn and that meant all this stupid leaves falling on her coat, being catch in her hair and pasting under her hooves. She hate autumn. Starla liked always paid attention to her appearance, she put out all the leaves which could made her looked like a tree. Why there were so much arround.
She decided to stay away from any trees, so away from forrest and even from her favorite spot near the river. Where could she went to not find any leaves on the ground. She didn't really knew so she decided just to walk and looked for it.

While trotting along merrily Haya caught a glimpse of something sparkling through the blowing leaves. What was this? His curiosity outweighed his desire to find Vis for the moment so he changed courses towards what he assumed to be another soquili. He was correct in that assumption and was surprised to see that, like Vis, she was another unicorn. Having met a few of them he was less surprised by her horn but there were plenty of other surprising features about her.
Her mane, for one thing. He had never seen a mane so extravagantly curled and bedecked with flowers and beads. He gaped openly at her, dully aware of his own leaf-tangled mane in contrast with her coiffed beauty. "H-hello," he stammered out finally.

Starla was not really paying attention to what she had arround her. Looking closely to where she put her hoofs actually. She definitaly hated autumn. She didn't saw the stallion coming her way before he spoke. Hearing a voice she turned her head arround to see where it come from. She saw a stallion colored with the same colors as the feathers. She was a little surprise. But because she was well educated she didn't showed it and with a nodded she replied.
"Hello"

Haya didn't really know what to say to this mare. Usually he didn't have problems chatting with the other soquili he randomly met while out and about, but this one... He felt like he would appear a dolt no matter what he did. He gave his head a shake, both to clear his mind and hopefully shake some of the leaves from his mane. There was no way for him to get them all out but maybe he'd at least look a bit less scruffy.
"... Do you live around here?" The question was the only one he could think to ask and it still sounded silly when it came out.

She looked at him from hoofs to head. He had leaves on his mane and hair, but it didn't seemed to annoy him. Well she knew she was always too proud of her appearance, it was not the same for everyone. The stallion seemed nice but apparently embarrassed in front of her. It made her smile, did she scared him or something like that ?
"No i don't live here, i was trying to find a place without leaves arround. I'm Starla, what is your name ?" she said with a clear and soft voice.

((Sorry for taking so long on the response... sad stuff happened IRL and I didn't have the will to RP for a while there.... ))
A place without leaves around, in fall? Haya could understand why she was having a hard time finding one and could also understand why she would want to. If he was that pretty he would... well, he'd be a mare. Or not like any stallion he had ever met. But if he was that pretty he wouldn't want to get himself all mussed up either, he guessed.
"M'name's Haya. Er... Hayagriva. But people usually call me Haya." He stumbled over the words and thought that he must be making even more of a fool of himself in front of this unicorn mare. He had to calm himself down. Sure, she was fancy, but she was just a mare. A regular mare who just so happened to be very decorated.

She nodded at the stallion. He was polite, she appreciated it. "Then nice to meet you Hayagriva. What bring you arround here ?"
She didn't moved a lot, she finally found a place where there was no trees near her head, not to much leaves arround too. She though if Cuallyen was here he will laughed because she become sort of too proud of her appearance once again.

"Well...." He smiled and a little embarrassment managed to creep its way into his voice. "I came here because I thought there were some fun leaves around." It was the opposite reason as the one the mare had mentioned. She wanted to escape leaves and he wanted to jump in them.
Jumping in leaves was a coltish pastime anyways. He tried to convince himself that he could be poised and sure of himself like this mare. No jumping necessary. He was almost convinced but with her beads sparkling in his eyes like that he felt it was pretty easy to convince himself of anything.

"Jumping in the leaves ? What a strange game." Starla was not really familiar with games actually, she was really calm. Even if some of her friends always asked her to go out in the forest, but she never said yes. "Is there any interest to do it ? You will be all dirty if you do it." Really she didn't understand. But she learnt with her mate than she mustn't judge something at the first look it had.

He had halfway convinced himself to never jump in leaves again but if he could convince this mare that it was a worthwhile exercise he decided that it must be all right. "Well, I think there's a lot of interest and fun in jumping." He puffed his chest out and tried to sound as knowledgeable as he could about the fine art of leaf-jumping.
"You have to find the right sort of leaves. If they're too dead and crinkly they'll all come apart if you jump in them. They need to be pretty fresh. If they're fresh they don't make you really dirty except sticking in your mane." He eyed the flowers decorating Starla. "You've already got flowers in your mane, so maybe leaves wouldn't make that much of a difference?"

Starla listenned carefully to the stallion explenation. Really it was a strange things for her. But Hava seemed to really enjoyed this game, so maybe it was not that bad. It was what she though till he said it will stick in her mane. "I don't want that" she said with a smile. "I love flower, roses for sure. But i don't want leaves to stick in my mane." She looked at the ground, and at her well organized mane. "But thank you for explanning it to me".

Haya nodded to that and was once more confronted with what he ought to say to this mare. Every thought that came to his mind sounded stupid before he had a chance to say them. He needed a lot more practice talking with mares before he could be comfortable around one this proper and pretty.
"No problem." He tried to put an air of gallantry into his voice. "If there's anything else I can help you with... er... well... just ask." He stumbled off at the end in the midst of wondering what else he could possibly know that Starla would be interested in. Probably not much, he decided with an internal grimace.

Starla smiled. She was sort of amused, this stallion really seemed to be embarrassed in front of her. It remind her good memories actually. "You seem uneasy in front of me ? There is a reason ?" she finally asked. She didn't wanted him to think she was not someone sociable, even if she didn't really was.

"Uneasy? Me?" Haya puffed out his chest, did his best impression of a confident stallion. "Of course I'm not! I just... well..." He was fumbling for words again already. Something about the look of those soft eyes. He looked away quickly, focusing on the far horizon as if he was watching for intruders.
"I'm just... a little hungry!" he said quickly. That was a good excuse for stammering a little, right?
